Since moving to RB this place has been on the rotation. It's kind of deceiving as you'd assume it was just a burger joint. Good ole Yelp showed me the restaurant had more to offer. I tried the breakfast burrito since it looked to be the hit with fellow yelpers. It was really filling. I've also tried the burgers and they are nice and fresh. Nothing out of the ordinary but there's also something to a burger that made well. A bad burger would stand out. A good burger (like that from Classic) hits the spot. read more

This place is one of the heartbeats of the city! The service has always been friendly, swift, and precise! Tonight we pulled into the drive thru at 935pm and attempted to order. We realized the restaurant was closed but then someone came out the back door. A woman named Amy proceeded to inform us they were closed, but then she kindly asked us what we wanted to order. My husband and I come here for breakfast on the weekends he has off from work. This place does their breakfast food to perfection, and at costs that are more than satisfactory. It's a small location within walking distance to the beach, so you could definitely walk it off post meal. The staff is really friendly, and you can tell they care. The great part about Classic Burger is that their always consistent on quality. I would recommend this to anyone, and we have even gotten some of our friends to love it too! read more

My wife and I used to eat at Classic Burger 2-3 times each week after scuba diving. I always ordered the same lunch and breakfast items. More often than not, I would have to ask several times for my drink. One morning, my French toast and scrambled eggs were cold to the touch after sitting on the counter for more than thirty minutes. I had to ask the cook's daughter to put the entire meal in the microwave. My wife used to order a poached egg on toast. On one occasion, the egg arrived fifteen minutes before the toast. Both were cold. She ordered two tortillas on the side with another meal and they only brought one. The employee argued with her that the meal only included one tortilla despite the fact that they had given her two on multiple occasions over the years. She offered to pay for an extra tortilla but he refused to bring her one. After eating there for seven years, it had gone downhill fast. We haven't been back in four years. read more

The "cook" was annoyed when I asked and watched him open the burgers. He literally pulled each layer apart with his bare fingers to re-stack it. He wiped his hands on his black jeans, cause his finger was smeared in the cheese, and continued to re-stack it. Completely grossed out, I canceled and wanted my money back. GROSS!!! The "cook" was handling food with his hands and touching everything else in the process, including himself. I don't feel comfortable with the "cook" as he was labeled, mushing his dirty fingers in my food. Now I know why they have 7 HEALTH VIOLATIONS. First time ever, and never again. But you get what you pay for... but I should have known a $6 burger would be disgusting. Also any "burger" place that serves breakfast, burritos, tacos, and just about everything else, can't have good anything. Even the tables inside looked like an old cafeteria. I have been to this establishment more than a dozen times and it always been great. Service has always been wonderful. The establishment is always clean and there's always parking. They have good breakfast and the atmosphere is very casual which we like. I met an old friend whom I haven't seen in over 55 years for breakfast here yesterday. We sat at a booth and started catching up. There were only two employees working at the time, both behind the grill. They came over to our table to bring us coffee, take our orders, and periodically check on our coffee status. This is exceptional, considering that you normally walk up and order first at this place. I had a breakfast burrito and my friend had ham and eggs. Both dishes were delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. I was surprised over the quantity and quality of the food at this local burger joint. They have a full menu with many interesting choices. This place is good at what it does. Just good ol' fashioned American diner food. So what are all those other weird items doing on the menu? I feel like they should analyze their sales and purge out some of the odd menu items that don't get ordered/don't belong on the menu. I've been going here for almost 20 years, in the last year so there's been a change in ownership. The new management is absolutely terrible. They ripped out the very comfy big booths and replaced it with a bunch of small tables and chairs, very crampy and uncomfortable. The food was decent before, good breakfast. Since the change it has become disgusting, runny eggs and over cooked and over salted meats and potatoes. The service is horrible! The cashiers make you feel like you are bothering them just walking in the door. Very rude. Today was my last time I will ever go in there. Due to COVID-19 they are doing takeout only, I went in there to try to order a couple breakfast burritos... There was no other customers there or waiting outside, I was standing at the counter trying to place an order and the cashier was about 6 feet away talking to the cooks. He looked over at me with no facial expression or hand gestures, stared at me for a couple seconds and then turned back around and continued talking to the cooks. after a couple minutes I finally said " ummm. excuse me, can I please place an order" he looked back over at me and did the exact same thing.... just gave me a blank stare for a couple seconds and then turned back around and continue talking to the cooks. No " just one second, I'll be right there" nothing. it lasted about 4-5 minutes until I just finally i walked out and left. Very unprofessional and very rude! There's so many other wonderful restaurants in the South Bay that you can go to, I would not go to classic Burger if I were you. It is a thing of the past and has lost all its charm and credibility. American food at its all inclusive inexpensive best. Great service with a family style feel. Upon first impression it would seem like this is your typical greasy American food joint with burgers and fries but that impression easily disappears when you gaze in awe at the menu. The variety of food is astounding. Don't get me wrong though, you've got everything you could want in a place like this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but adding healthy wraps and some Korean meat options to an already awesomely astounding menu just seemed brilliant to me.
