Wow love this little cafe they make everything in house. Let's start with the bakery the cream puffs were absolutely phenomenal the vanilla bean filling was so light and amazing best cream puff I have had in a long time. Now the beignets with that lemon curd!!! Holy moly that was a fluffy beignet and the lemon curd was so good you could just eat it by itself. We also had the French lavender lemonade and the regular lemonade both phenomenal. Lastly we had the turkey Brie sandwich on sourdough with house made potato chips and that was HUGE and delicious. I never thought I would find a better latte than Nordstrom's Italian mocha but this place had a honey lavender latte that ABSOLUTELY BLEW MY MINDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! We had planned to grab brunch before going to Coronado Beach on the last few hours of our vacation and found this restaurant with Yelp. When we arrived, it was unclear if my party of four should seat ourselves or wait until we had gone to the counter to order, so there was some confusion at first. While we waited in line for the counter, I noticed moldy bread showcased prominently. I told my teen daughter and her response was that I should just ignore it because we were running short on time. I was glad I did. The seasonal quiche was very good as was the honey lavender latte. My teen enjoyed her latte and avocado toast as well. My husband's croissant sandwich was huge, and he enjoyed it. My youngest daughter's food was disappointing, but she probably shouldn't have gotten matzo ball soup in a bistro...flavorless broth came out nearly boiling and the carrots appeared to be thrown in last minute. We stumbled upon this Bakery one lazy morning going for a stroll and ended up having a fantastic meal by accident! A nice occurrence if you ask me, I am not a big reviewer unless I love love love a place and let's just say this spot is lovable! The attention to detail in this restaurant is incredible, whoever had this vision should be patted on the back, an amazing addition to our Coronado neighborhood! We were helped by an incredibly sweet gal named Jacey, she smoothly answered all of our questions which were many as it was our first time in, we both were very indecisive and Jacey patiently helped us through ordering, we were blown away with her suggestions being so on point with what we were in the mood for. She really listened to our preferences with interest, our coffee/latte and pastries were some we had never tried! Jacey knew the menu closely enough to make great recommendations! One of the best dining experiences I've had in awhile. Im a SD native doing a staycation in coronado. This is very casual order ahead sit down bakery/bistro, but just delightful all the way around! The fench music was playing, the attention to detail in the food and rven the plates/china/glasses they use to serve you. We had the breakfast crossaint, trex leches French toast, amazing! The lattes were incredible. Homey lavender latte and honey brown sugar. Nice staff, took home tons of baked good. This place was so yummy!! I ordered the Lavender Crepe, Avocado toast with an over-hard egg and with a hot chocolate! The crepe was the most perfect breakfast desert, perfectly sweet. It was two regular sized crepes. The avocado toast was so tasty! Real smashed avocado, with hints of lemon & colorful tomatoes cut in half on a perfectly toasted piece of bread. Well needless to say, they are doing a fantastic job with their food selections as they are at their Coffee House and Mexican Take Out. I really love their Chipotle chicken burrito but I digress...today there was a special, The Cuban sandwich, not to be confused with a Cubano. Now this Chef Ira creation was slow roasted pork, chipotle aioli, picked Serrano pepper, jicama, fried plantain on a soft French roll! While "attempting" to ring me up -- she actually turned around and asked the manager what time she was "ok to leave" today and then got into dialogue about how she was supposed to be there at 10 but didn't get there until 10:30 --- and she thinks she can work till 4 but 5 is ok. OMG --- wait until you are customer free --- holy cow, how unprofessional. Food was good, served hot and perfect portion size. Coffee was fab --- barista was on top of all orders and not a misstep. What a charming breakfast spot in Coronado. If you go just slightly away from the main area (not more than a few blocks further down the road) you will find this gem. We came around 9am in a Sunday and it was already packed, but we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes. We ordered the everything croissant sandwich and the mushroom goat cheese frittata, plus the honey lavender latter and a regular coffee. The servers were friendly and the decor was charming. The everything croissant is a must get! It was incredible flaky and the everything seasoning heightened the experience! Honey Lavendar latte was good as well, great presentation and not too overwhelming of a lavendar flavor, but just enough. We will definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love this place!!! I ordered the Everything Croissant with egg, spinach, tomato and Parmesan, bar none thee BEST croissant I've ever had, which includes those I've eaten in France! It had just the perfect balance of flavor and light, flaky layers of deliciousness! I picked up there Raspberry, Pistachio croissant for my daughter-in-law, over the top deliciousness! We sat outside for brunch-was in the middle of the week. I had the seasonal quiche. It was good but portion size was very small. It came with fresh fruit. The chai was OK, served in a Le Creuset mug with cinnamon sprinkled on top. My colleagues enjoyed their dishes (everyone else got a sandwich of some sort), which were made with fresh baked bread, but no one raved. The young lady at the register seemed to be a bit out of it, not friendly, perhaps bored? This was absolutely the worst place I have ever been to. The service was terrible and the chef's attitude towards the customers was very rude. I was waiting over 30 minutes for my egg and bacon sandwich, and they were making orders that were places after mine. After I asked them to please make my sandwich, the chef gave me a dirty look and threw the sandwich inside the box and handed me the box with no bag or sticker on top of the box (which they do for every customer). Overall I am very disappointed and recommend going to the Henry for a good breakfast spot in Coronado! read more
