Cliffside was one of the highlights of our trip to St. George and the perfect choice for a special occasion dinner. We were able to snag patio seating, and the views were absolutely stunning. The restaurant sits in a beautiful location overlooking the area, making it easy to see why it's one of the most popular dining destinations in St. George. Reservations are highly recommended. The standout dish for our group was the Chilean sea bass. All four of us agreed it was exceptional--perfectly cooked, flaky, buttery, and incredibly juicy. It was served over a mushroom risotto that was packed with flavor and complemented the fish beautifully. The chicken fried chicken was another surprise favorite. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all, which can be hard to find with fried chicken. My friend ordered the filet with shrimp as a surf-and-turf option and couldn't stop talking about how incredible it was. Save room for dessert! The carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had. I've never tasted carrot cake with that much flavor--it was rich, moist, and absolutely unforgettable. We also loved the house-made Italian sodas, which were served in beautiful glasses and added a fun touch to the meal. What truly elevated the experience was the service. From the hostess warmly greeting us for our reservation to our server's excellent menu recommendations and attentive, prompt service throughout the evening, every interaction was exceptional. Between the spectacular views, outstanding food, and impeccable service, Cliffside delivered a memorable dining experience from start to finish. We would absolutely return on our next visit to St. George.

The food was excellent, and the view was absolutely beautiful. My father ordered the Cliffside burger and ranked it among the top three burgers he's ever had, which is high praise coming from him! My stepmom enjoyed the Southwest salad and thought it was very good, although, as others have mentioned, the $9 charge to add protein felt a bit steep. I ordered the pear and four-cheese pasta, and it did not disappoint--absolutely delicious! Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely return the next time we're in St. George. We enjoyed it so much that we also highly recommended it in the guest book at the place where we were staying.
What a great restaurant! First of all, servers greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm, making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive. They confidently described menu items and suggested pairings, enhancing the dining experience and making it easy to make a decision on what to eat. A diverse menu offers something for everyone, from appetizers to desserts, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. I loved the Four Cheese and Pear Pasta and my wife simply adored the Seared Idaho Red Trout. We shared the Cliffside Molten Cake which made a nice ending to our meal. Pair the service and the food along with unpretentious, comfortable interior with incredible views and you've got a place I would go again and again.
I found this restaurant months in advance when I was planning a big trip that would come through here and immediately knew I wanted to try it. It was relatively close to our hotel so that was a plus. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and the views are fantastic. It was hot outside so we sat inside. Our server was fantastic. And she took very good care of us. My mom and I both ordered Italian cream sodas, which we both loved. The bread and herb butter is among some of the best I had. My mother ordered a spinach salad and clam chowder, which she really enjoyed. I ordered the Filet and shrimp. When my filet was brought out I immediately could tell by the char on the steak that it was really overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well, close to well done. I'm not one to complain much but I informed my server and she immediately took it back and apologized. After a few minutes she brought out my new steak and asked me to cut into it to be sure it was cooked correctly. Unfortunately it was once again overcooked to medium well, although it was very slightly better than the last. I told her it was fine and she said she would take it back again since she saw it wasn't cooked correctly again. I kept the steak and ate about half. The steak was just ok. I'm not sure if they season their steaks much but it seemed to not have any seasoning on it. My vegetables weren't fully cooked and the mashed potatoes were good but had green onions mixed in which I didn't care for. My shrimp however were great. We decided to order a desert and got their Crème Brûlée. Our server offered us a second complimentary dessert to apologize for my steak, but we only wanted the one. When our check came our server once again apologized for my steak and informed us they comped all our cream soda's and the dessert. While I was really disappointed in my meal, the service we received was outstanding. I'm not from the area and don't know when or if I'll ever be back through St. George, but I would definitely come back to give Cliffside another try.
Slade is a really good server. The four cheese and pear pasta with added mushrooms is a delicious treat! It's so comforting and yummy! The atmosphere is good and the views are amazing! You can also bring your own bottle of wine for a $15.00 cork fee. There is also a wine and beer menu but no premium liquor or bar.
Love this place. View is amazing and food always good. Was brought here for lunch by business colleagues and loved it. On my next visit to St George I brought my wife here. She also loved it We had the squash soup and fish of the day. Bread service was delicious and we scoffed it down. Appetizer was the squash bisque. Full of flavor and delicious I ordered the swordfish special and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly Service was great. Can't wait to return
We made a reservation for 745pm. We stayed at the inn adjacent to the restaurant. We had asked for a window seat specifically for my birthday. The restaurant said they would do that for us but we may have to wait which was fine. We called and confirmed again and told them again it was for a birthday dinner. Staff seated us away from the window and nothing was available. Didnt allow us to wait which was disappointing. Order the filet two glasses of red wine and a vegetable pasta with steak added on. The vegetable pasta looked like a pasta soup. It had good flavor but was a mess to look at. Steak was prepared well and placed on top of tasteless potatoes. No mention of the birthday. Waitress was not attentive. Really just a poor end to an overall good day. Service needs work.
We had the ribeye, cliffside burger, calamari, clam chowder, and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Calamari had bits of pickled jalapeños with just the right amount of flavor. Clam chowder was best I've ever had and the steak and burger were delicious! The views both from inside and outside were epic, especially at sunset. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!
First of all, the view of the city is absolutely gorgeous. As far as the view goes, I think it's the best dinning view in the city. The service was top notch. Our server was informative, not afraid to give suggestions and attentive to our table. My wife ordered the cliffside burger, which I tried (I'm a burger connoisseur) and this is easily the top 5 burgers I've had. She got the carrot cake for dessert and I cannot recommend that enough. I ordered the coconut crusted shrimp as an appetizer, the Chilean sea bass as my main dish and the molten lava cake for dessert. The Chilean sea bass, was cooked to absolute perfection. I don't believe I've had fish cooked that well in a long time. My appetizer was amazing, the orange dipping sauce they made was phenomenal. And my dessert, oh my gosh. It's cooked to order and served with ice cream! The atmosphere was peaceful and classy. 10 out of 10. Don't miss this gem while you're visiting, and if you're local and haven't tried it, don't walk, run to make a reservation!
Overall, I'm a bit unimpressed. For a $51 plate, I really shouldn't be served soggy bland frozen vegetables. They legitimately were the bagged veggies you microwave... My steak was also bland and overcooked. My husband also said his ribeye was just "ok". But coconut shrimp appetizer was great!! Our server was friendly and attentive! And the ambiance and the view were BEAUTIFUL!
We've been getting season tickets for Tuacahn for several years now and large part of our getaway expirience is staying at the Inn On The Cliff and dining at the Cliffside restaurant. Cliffside has become one of our favorite restaurants. Honestly, I can't think of any bad experiences here. The staff from receptionist to the wait staff have always been so friendly and knowledgeable about any of the dishes on the menu or specials. This weekend I has the Chillean Sea Bass with mushroom risotto. Now added to the menu. It was so tender & delicate, perfectly prepared. Nothing worse than poorly overcooked fish. My wife had her usual Chili-Glazed Salmon as always. It is so consistently delicious as it is every time. Can't wait to be back in July!

Gorgeous views with creative takes on American food! One of the big draws of Cliffside is that it overlooks the city of St George- you get to see the entire town below, as well as the nearby red rocks. The service was good- without a reservation, we were able to be seated on the deck outside within 10min on a Saturday afternoon. Our server Amber was very nice and attentive! We got: Fresh mozzarella crostini: the crostini had a great crunch that balanced the creaminess of the mozzarella. I really liked the cranberry mostardo (candied cranberries with mustard)- the tartness and spice added a nice kick and kept things light. The basil pesto added some saltiness, and the balsamic enhanced the sweetness of the cranberry. Not sure if the microgreens added much, but it was visually appealing. Four cheese and pear pasta: this was the first time I've had fruit with my pasta! The sweetness of the pear went well with the cheese filling, but it was a bit messy to eat it as a purse-style pasta (especially with the soupy roasted tomato and cream sauce: I had to be careful not to splatter sauce on myself). I think a ravioli would have been a bit neater. I also wish there was a bit less of the cream sauce, so I didn't have to hunt around for the pasta. However, I have no complaints about the flavors- I liked that the balsamic brought some acidity to the dish while complementing the sweetness of the pear. Lilikoi cheesecake: a dense cheesecake topped with a tangy passion fruit purée and marscapone mousse. While the mousse didn't have significant flavor, I liked that it lightened up the cheesecake. The raspberry couli and fresh berries also brightened up the heavy cheesecake. Great views, fun flavor combos- overall a good experience! read more
Dinner with a view, anyone? Yes, I was an instant fan with this coveted location! Any seat inside will give you a magnificent view of the St. George valley. From the red rock cliffs to the historic Temple, the entire panorama is breathtaking. Now onto the food...Best dishes of the night were the heirloom toast and the grilled Filet Mignon. We also tasted the NY strip and even just the flavor and companion sides were better on the mignon. You won't go wrong with it. The Parmesan fries were also delicious: shoestring and perfectly crispy. Same goes for the calamari. The Utah honey vinaigrette that comes with the spinach salad, though unique and local, it was super sweet. I had wished I could've applied it myself, for I would've used much less due to its extreme sweetness. It was also delicious though. Note: get the dressing on the side. I was so intent on getting inside and seeing the view, that I failed to take any photos of the exterior. The Cliffside is on top a cliff on the south side of St. George across from the airport. The restaurant is nice inside but I requested the patio to enjoy the great view. I ordered the squash soup, the four cheese and pear pasta, and finally a large, warmed chocolate cookie topped with ice cream with locally grown pecan slices on the ice cream. After getting my iced tea, I was brought a small bread board with a small piece of baguette cut for one and some soft butter. The soup was tasty and very appropriate for the season. The pasta was good but they overdid the amount of sauce with the pasta. The menu describes the dish in this manner: "pear & cheese filled purse-style pasta in a spinach & roasted tomato cream sauce, balsamic reduction, & garlic crostini." While the sauce was good, you don't need this much in the dish. The cookie was OK. Warming it in a cast iron skillet like this had the affect of making the bottom a bit crusty. The local pecan slices were a nice touch. I enjoyed the dinner here. It's one of those view restaurants whose prices reflect paying for the view. Service was very good. read more

first off, I want to say this was the worst experience I've had in a restaurant ever. The HOSTESS were so rude and if you think I'm over exaggerating I'm not. Just a bunch of mean white girls. We sat for 10 minutes nobody came so I wanted to sit inside instead. I get it short staffed but we were just excluded because I guess we look like college kids. Server finally came to us and it was good up to when I seen my 5$ portioned chicken was 1-3 CUBES small cubes of chicken, I've spent money on a bigger pack of chicken at smiths. And I asked her for more and she said yes for an upcharge. Yes I know it's only 5$ but she couldn't have just gave it considering she knew it was our anniversary??? Myself and some business colleagues visited Cliffside for lunch. What a great time we had with good friends, great service and great food. The staff was super nice and the owners and chef came out to say hi. The views were spectacular. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. We had Tok much food to mention all the dishes. With temperatures in the lows 80s, we decided to eat on the patio and enjoy lunch. Vast views from here of St George. We had wine and a Doppelbock 22 oz beer. My wife had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich with an enormous amount of fries. I had the butternut squash soup with toasted almond slices. Food was served with a small loaf of freshly baked sour dough bread. Service was perfect. read more

Overall great restaurant Food : We got the calamari starter which was amazing had pickled peppers on it which gave it such a great touch. I had the Dover sole chefs special which was really amazing it has lobster, crab and cornbread all wrapped together for a perfect buttery soft bite each time. On the side it comes with a tomato risotto that was bleh and some cooked kale that was tasty. Hubby had the wahoo fish tacos which he said were just okay nothing special. Drink: I had the Italian lilikoi soda which was amazing Hubby had the hard cider which was like angry orchard beer Atmosphere: Overlooks the city and is very beautiful. They also play nice music which makes for a great romantic feel. Service was great, food was great definitely will be back and definitely recommend. We decided to sit on the patio. The view was great. It was really hot, but the good thing is that it was shady. We had lots of drinks. The lemonade is hands down the best. Order it! 5 STARS ***** Loved This Place! First Off Our Server Olivia was amazing! She explained the specials all so well, the men of the table all ordered the Chef's Cut Special! She was so attentive even for being a busy Saturday night! The view is so spectacular especially at Sunset! It's a must for any special occasion or date night. Don't forget to leave room for dessert, it's all delicious. Salmon is juicy, coconut rice was superb. I'll give it 5 stars for the total experience. The food was delicious and you really can't go wrong with the views. There were a few must haves for my list. First off, the lemon-lime ade. I generally avoid any type of lemonade at restaurants but it was 103 outside and they listed it as a "house special" so I gave it a shot and it was great! You've also gotta start off with their parmesan fries. Delicious! At our table we had both the Chicken Fried Chicken as well as the New York Steak. Both were cooked well with great presentation but the star of the night was their Clam Chowder Soup. My wife is very particular about certain food, Clam Chowder is one of them. She ranked this as one of the top two she had ever had. Not bad for a place that is more than 400 miles away for an ocean. Personally, I would opt for a hot soup on a cooler day but if Clam Chowder is your thing you may want to give it a shot. read more
