    Chilean Sea bass

Cliffside was one of the highlights of our trip to St. George and the perfect choice for a special occasion dinner. We were able to snag patio seating, and the views were absolutely stunning. The restaurant sits in a beautiful location overlooking the area, making it easy to see why it's one of the most popular dining destinations in St. George. Reservations are highly recommended. The standout dish for our group was the Chilean sea bass. All four of us agreed it was exceptional--perfectly cooked, flaky, buttery, and incredibly juicy. It was served over a mushroom risotto that was packed with flavor and complemented the fish beautifully. The chicken fried chicken was another surprise favorite. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all, which can be hard to find with fried chicken. My friend ordered the filet with shrimp as a surf-and-turf option and couldn't stop talking about how incredible it was. Save room for dessert! The carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had. I've never tasted carrot cake with that much flavor--it was rich, moist, and absolutely unforgettable. We also loved the house-made Italian sodas, which were served in beautiful glasses and added a fun touch to the meal. What truly elevated the experience was the service. From the hostess warmly greeting us for our reservation to our server's excellent menu recommendations and attentive, prompt service throughout the evening, every interaction was exceptional. Between the spectacular views, outstanding food, and impeccable service, Cliffside delivered a memorable dining experience from start to finish. We would absolutely return on our next visit to St. George.

The view here is great, the patio set up is ideal. Service is fantastic and the food is good.

The food was excellent, and the view was absolutely beautiful. My father ordered the Cliffside burger and ranked it among the top three burgers he's ever had, which is high praise coming from him! My stepmom enjoyed the Southwest salad and thought it was very good, although, as others have mentioned, the $9 charge to add protein felt a bit steep. I ordered the pear and four-cheese pasta, and it did not disappoint--absolutely delicious! Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely return the next time we're in St. George. We enjoyed it so much that we also highly recommended it in the guest book at the place where we were staying.

This restaurant is located on a hilltop, so it has a great viewpoint with large windows offering stunning scenery. The staff were very polite and provided excellent service, and the food looked incredibly delicious.

What a great restaurant! First of all, servers greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm, making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive. They confidently described menu items and suggested pairings, enhancing the dining experience and making it easy to make a decision on what to eat. A diverse menu offers something for everyone, from appetizers to desserts, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. I loved the Four Cheese and Pear Pasta and my wife simply adored the Seared Idaho Red Trout. We shared the Cliffside Molten Cake which made a nice ending to our meal. Pair the service and the food along with unpretentious, comfortable interior with incredible views and you've got a place I would go again and again.

    Clam Chowder and spinach Salad

I found this restaurant months in advance when I was planning a big trip that would come through here and immediately knew I wanted to try it. It was relatively close to our hotel so that was a plus. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and the views are fantastic. It was hot outside so we sat inside. Our server was fantastic. And she took very good care of us. My mom and I both ordered Italian cream sodas, which we both loved. The bread and herb butter is among some of the best I had. My mother ordered a spinach salad and clam chowder, which she really enjoyed. I ordered the Filet and shrimp. When my filet was brought out I immediately could tell by the char on the steak that it was really overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well, close to well done. I'm not one to complain much but I informed my server and she immediately took it back and apologized. After a few minutes she brought out my new steak and asked me to cut into it to be sure it was cooked correctly. Unfortunately it was once again overcooked to medium well, although it was very slightly better than the last. I told her it was fine and she said she would take it back again since she saw it wasn't cooked correctly again. I kept the steak and ate about half. The steak was just ok. I'm not sure if they season their steaks much but it seemed to not have any seasoning on it. My vegetables weren't fully cooked and the mashed potatoes were good but had green onions mixed in which I didn't care for. My shrimp however were great. We decided to order a desert and got their Crème Brûlée. Our server offered us a second complimentary dessert to apologize for my steak, but we only wanted the one. When our check came our server once again apologized for my steak and informed us they comped all our cream soda's and the dessert. While I was really disappointed in my meal, the service we received was outstanding. I'm not from the area and don't know when or if I'll ever be back through St. George, but I would definitely come back to give Cliffside another try.

Slade is a really good server. The four cheese and pear pasta with added mushrooms is a delicious treat! It's so comforting and yummy! The atmosphere is good and the views are amazing! You can also bring your own bottle of wine for a $15.00 cork fee. There is also a wine and beer menu but no premium liquor or bar.

    Swordfish special was amazing

Love this place. View is amazing and food always good. Was brought here for lunch by business colleagues and loved it. On my next visit to St George I brought my wife here. She also loved it We had the squash soup and fish of the day. Bread service was delicious and we scoffed it down. Appetizer was the squash bisque. Full of flavor and delicious I ordered the swordfish special and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly Service was great. Can't wait to return

Vegetable pasta soup... with steak added

We made a reservation for 745pm. We stayed at the inn adjacent to the restaurant. We had asked for a window seat specifically for my birthday. The restaurant said they would do that for us but we may have to wait which was fine. We called and confirmed again and told them again it was for a birthday dinner. Staff seated us away from the window and nothing was available. Didnt allow us to wait which was disappointing. Order the filet two glasses of red wine and a vegetable pasta with steak added on. The vegetable pasta looked like a pasta soup. It had good flavor but was a mess to look at. Steak was prepared well and placed on top of tasteless potatoes. No mention of the birthday. Waitress was not attentive. Really just a poor end to an overall good day. Service needs work.

    Ribeye
    Cindy K.

We had the ribeye, cliffside burger, calamari, clam chowder, and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Calamari had bits of pickled jalapeños with just the right amount of flavor. Clam chowder was best I've ever had and the steak and burger were delicious! The views both from inside and outside were epic, especially at sunset. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!

    Chilean Sea Bass

First of all, the view of the city is absolutely gorgeous. As far as the view goes, I think it's the best dinning view in the city. The service was top notch. Our server was informative, not afraid to give suggestions and attentive to our table. My wife ordered the cliffside burger, which I tried (I'm a burger connoisseur) and this is easily the top 5 burgers I've had. She got the carrot cake for dessert and I cannot recommend that enough. I ordered the coconut crusted shrimp as an appetizer, the Chilean sea bass as my main dish and the molten lava cake for dessert. The Chilean sea bass, was cooked to absolute perfection. I don't believe I've had fish cooked that well in a long time. My appetizer was amazing, the orange dipping sauce they made was phenomenal. And my dessert, oh my gosh. It's cooked to order and served with ice cream! The atmosphere was peaceful and classy. 10 out of 10. Don't miss this gem while you're visiting, and if you're local and haven't tried it, don't walk, run to make a reservation!

    Filet Mignon $51
    Rebekka B.

Overall, I'm a bit unimpressed. For a $51 plate, I really shouldn't be served soggy bland frozen vegetables. They legitimately were the bagged veggies you microwave... My steak was also bland and overcooked. My husband also said his ribeye was just "ok". But coconut shrimp appetizer was great!! Our server was friendly and attentive! And the ambiance and the view were BEAUTIFUL!

We've been getting season tickets for Tuacahn for several years now and large part of our getaway expirience is staying at the Inn On The Cliff and dining at the Cliffside restaurant. Cliffside has become one of our favorite restaurants. Honestly, I can't think of any bad experiences here. The staff from receptionist to the wait staff have always been so friendly and knowledgeable about any of the dishes on the menu or specials. This weekend I has the Chillean Sea Bass with mushroom risotto. Now added to the menu. It was so tender & delicate, perfectly prepared. Nothing worse than poorly overcooked fish. My wife had her usual Chili-Glazed Salmon as always. It is so consistently delicious as it is every time. Can't wait to be back in July!

We brought two friends with us and ended up feeling bad and apologizing to them for such a terrible experience. Let me first say that this location was gorgeous! It's very spacious and the parking was easy even though the street was under construction. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waiter did a very bad job, maybe he was new but he should've had some guidance if that were the case. He dropped cheese on my lap, later dropped a dirty fork on my lap, passed food through other guests even though there was plenty of space to walk around the table. He also used one guests fork to shove into the cheese shredder to remove stuck cheese. Just weird, uncomfortable, unprofessional behavior. We hoped that the food would make up for the terrible service but sadly it didn't. We ordered the veal parmigiana and the rigatoni carbonara. The bread that was brought to the table first was mediocre, we had a caprese salad which was yummy, unfortunately that was the only win. The veal was tough and the rigatoni was just not impressive, we didn't even eat half of either dish. They were also out of the wine we ordered, maybe understandable but in combo with all the other misses it was just another disappointment. I really hope this place can get some guidance from the Cedar City location because we have been loyal fans for several years and we would love to see it succeed but there is work to be done to get it there.

Instead, the entire experience felt rushed, as though we were being pushed out because they were trying to close. Our server introduced himself as Justin, although his name tag displayed "Iceman." His attitude throughout the experience was extremely nonchalant and unprofessional. After we placed our order, he came back and said, "Bad news," and told us they were out of the steaks we had ordered. Two of the five steaks we ordered were unavailable. This should have been communicated before taking our order, rather than after we had already placed it. He also told us that we probably shouldn't order the Porterhouse because it comes frozen. Again, this was frustrating because we were there to enjoy a special birthday dinner with our family and expected better communication and service. The food itself was good, but the service was subpar and completely took away from what should have been a memorable birthday celebration. I manage a restaurant myself in the state where I live, so I understand the challenges that come with the restaurant business. I also regularly visit Texas Roadhouse in my home state, and my family and I have always received friendly service and had great experiences. This location was completely different. I have heard people describe Texas Roadhouse as a racist establishment, and unfortunately, today I felt like I experienced that firsthand. The way we were treated left me feeling unwelcome and extremely disappointed. I understand that restaurants have closing times(they close at 10 PM and we got there at 7 PM, seated by 7:26 PM$, but rushing a family out,, especially when they are celebrating someone's actual birthday.,.is not acceptable. There was no warmth, no acknowledgment of my birthday, and very little effort to make us feel valued as customers. After this experience, I will never eat at Texas Roadhouse again. this entire place screams racist I didn't wanna believe everything I seen online but I got to experience it firsthand and I will agree with everything that they say online. we still tipped him 20% because like I said, I manage a restaurant and I know about the business, but he definitely did not deserve it.

When my mom became sick and could no longer make it, I contacted the restaurant a full week in advance to cancel. The owner, Eric Shameti, told me it was OpenTable's policy that I could not get out of the $50-per-person fee. After I explained the situation, he said he would "see if he could lower the head count" to possibly reduce the charge. I contacted OpenTable's restaurant division to verify this. They confirmed exactly what I had already read online: OpenTable does not set these fees--each restaurant sets its own cancellation and deposit policy. I then looped Eric into the call so both parties could hear the same information. The moment I began confirming the facts with the OpenTable representative, Eric launched into a stream of profanity, calling me a "piece of shit," telling me to "F-- off," and directing the same language at OpenTable. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (like many people in this community), I found his language deeply offensive and told him I would not be bullied. He continued the verbal assault, then changed his story and admitted it was actually *his* policy, not OpenTable's. Once he was caught in the lie, he began screaming at both me and the OpenTable representative. I have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant owner. This is someone who showed zero regard for his customers or the community and was willing to lie in order to extract $50 per person. There is no response Eric can give that would make up for the lies, the verbal abuse, or the attempt to pressure me into paying a fee under false pretenses. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to think carefully before supporting this restaurant. OpenTable is currently in the process of reviewing his account for deplatforming. I will be sharing this experience across social media and have already spoken with local media. I have also retained legal counsel should he attempt to charge my card. Behavior like this should not be tolerated. If an owner is willing to lie so easily about a cancellation policy, it raises serious questions about what else he might be willing to misrepresent.

While we were waiting, there's this interactive fish floor in the lobby that moves when you step on it, so of course there were kids stomping all over it It was actually really entertaining, but it does give more of a lively, family-friendly vibe than a quiet date night. Once we sat down, everything felt a little more special. The servers were dressed in Japanese-style robes, and then the food came out... SO good. Everything was super flavorful and not dry at all. The filet was juicy, tender, and not chewy in the slightest (which is rare!). Also....there was literally a robot rolling around singing "shots shots shots," which just added to the whole vibe Overall, such a fun experience. Not super fancy, but perfect for a lively night out!

The dinner came with à large bowl of salad with great tasting dressing. The large bowl of miso soup was great tasting (tasted authentic like homemade : ). The sushi came out first. The deep fried California was well filled and fried nicely. The calamari roll was tasty and well made. The shrimp tempura was the star of our choices. It was a large serving of potato, sweet potato, zucchini, broccoli and six shrimp! Large enough to feed two. The batter was light and fried crisp but greasy. The dipping sauce was FANTASTIC!! Our servers kept our waters full and continuously checked on all in our party. When we received our bill, it was incorrect as our items were placed on someone else's bill. The server corrected it promptly. Definitely a great place to get decent Japanese food.
