My mom and I have been going to cloverleaf coffee and bakery for years since I was in high school. Almost 12 years later and now I'm in my masters program I can confidently say their quality has not gone down at all. We always get the same thing: two Greek goddesses with avocado. The sandwich bread is baked fresh in house, and it's my favorite thing about the sandwich. Their desserts are so good and they have pastries too! After giving this popular local spot a couple of visits, I can say it's average in comparison to other coffee shops in the area. It caught my attention as they are the only bakery around that sells a lot of ube desserts and drinks. I have had my share of eating ube for a good decade before it became a flavor staple and for whatever reason, the ube here is not ube enough. I had both the ube latte and ube twist and they did not meet the mark. Maybe it's just me. I gotten the popular sea salt caramel latte twice and it's better than the ube latte but it isn't the best latte I've had in comparison to others. I usually see one person doing drinks in the morning and sometimes they do both cashiering and drinks so the wait can take a while. Their non-ube pastries and savory snacks look good on display but never tried. Parking is plentiful and there are indoor and outdoor seating. The blueberry cream cheese croissant was exactly what I was looking for in a breakfast pastry. Light, buttery, sweet, flaky. Fantasticly done. My partner also loved her ham and corn bun as it was pillowly and super light. When I tried it, it was what I think a top tier bun tastes like. The powdered pandan cookie was also enjoyed by my partner and had coconut so if you like that, you'll enjoy this. As for drinks, we got the green thai tea and the hokaido milk tea. I finally tried this place after passing by it for over a decade. I cannot believe I missed out on their baked goods and high quality drinks all these years. This coffee and bakery is situated on its own private lot. Even though it is a small lot, there's ample parking. Upon stepping in, I was greeted politely by their staff. They did not rush me as I took my sweet time viewing their display cabinets of baked bread, menu for drinks and a fridge section with cakes. I have to say that they have some unique items like pandan and ube cheesecake that you don't see at typical Chinese bakeries around SGV. Even though they have a small display case with limited items, they rotate their items throughout the week to keep you coming back to try out other goodies (a brilliant strategy). In general, they sell a variety of coffee & tea drinks, Asian breads, cakes, tea cookies, and sandwiches. For this visit, I tried the following... 1. Iced Latte (4.5/5): Gotta start with the basics. It did not disappoint. You can taste quality coffee which is balanced with the creaminess from the milk. Minus 0.5 stars only because they put a lot of ice, so the actual drink was maybe only 1/3-1/2 of the cup. Next time, I will ask for less ice. Flavor is truly on par though. 2. Iced Blueberry Matcha Latte (5/5): A unique drink that is perfectly blended to provide a sweet fruity taste + bitterness from the matcha + creaminess from the milk. It was not super sweet, which I appreciated. 3. Pandan Cheesecake (5/5): OMG, soooo good. I devoured the entire thing by myself. The cake was just bursting with pandan flavor in my mouth and because it's soaked in a bed of condensed milk or some sort of milk, it was pure heavenly goodness. I wouldn't consider it cheesecake per se as it has more of a consistency and concept as a tres leche cake, but in pandan flavor. I can't wait to come back to try the ube flavor next. 4. Matcha swirl Bread (3/5): The bread is decent if eaten fresh. It's not too sweet and has a light matcha flavoring. I'd say the bread is slightly on the drier side. I had some leftover for the next day and it became rock hard. After microwaving it, it was edible again, but still not as soft as ai'd hope for it to be. I've tried a few of their desserts so far and here are my thoughts - The crinkle cookies were the perfect soft and chewy texture, and delicate in flavor. lovely neighborhood place to do some work and get my morning fix of caffein near my new house. i'm not a coffee snob so i can't comment much on the coffee but i always get the latte and it's decent. i do have friends say their coffee is superb. they also have the ube latte in beautiful layering of purple in its presentation. a bit too sweet for my taste, but nice to treat yourself with some sugary guilty pleasure once in a while. the ube latte only comes in large size. turnovers and pineapple bread are my recommendation. they also just added a lemon muffin that i quite like. not too sweet and it is fluffy. you can ask them to heat up the pastries to add yumminess upon ordering. i always ask to heat it just slightly less than the standard heating time so the bread is warm but still retain crispiness. they had this pistachio cupcake at some point that i really like. hopefully it will come back soon. patio space is spacious so it was great during covid time and very pet friendly if you want to visit with your furry friends. i always tie the leash at the iron bar fence at the patio so i can share my coffee time safely with the puppy read more

So much fun getting cookies for holiday gifts! Our first time visiting Cloverleaf Bakery. They had the Crinkle Cookie variety boxes during the month of December, so we went to get one as a gift. I wanted to try their tiramisu latte or the peanut butter mocha but they were out of the tiramisu and the peanut butter was only hot or blended. My bf wanted a Thai tea and they were out of that as well which is the reason for the 4 stars. We settled for an Aztec mocha and Hokkaido milk tea. The Aztec mocha was just ok, I found that it didn't quite have enough spice and the mocha taste was not strong enough. The Hokkaido milk tea was very good though so I would order that again for sure. We also got a Pandan tres leches and this was actually the star! Perfectly balanced Pandan taste and moist enough without being soggy. The almonds added great texture.
