Lots of folks like Coconut Jelly King. My wife wanted to try them so when I found myself at HMart in Arcadia, I wanted to purchase a couple for her. I was there on a weekend, and I thought they would be open the same hours as the HMart grocery store since they are located inside HMart. It turned out that they were not because their hours are limited. In fact, the Coconut Jelly KIng staff member was about 30 minutes late in opening the place so that was disappointing. The Mango Coconut Jelly was not available that day. Had to settle for a jar of Blueberry Coconut Jelly and a jar of Hazelnut Chocolate Coconut Jelly. Both flavors tasted alright, but they did not have us craving more. They are pricey, but that doesn't stop folks from buying jars of their products. They are popular. For my wife and I, it was nice that we finally had the opportunity to try Coconut Jelly KIng. Hopefully, the Mango Coconut Jelly will be available the next time we go to this HMart. read more

I obviously have not been back to H-Mart in a while as I didn't know about the Coconut Jelly King here. Granted, for me, Melo Melo, was the first coconut jelly store and the coconut jelly flavors here look similar to Melo Melo. On this visit, ordered the black sugar boba tea and got a durian pancake for the GF so I won't be trying that. They have an above average selection of durian products (jelly, pancake, crepe cake) for you durian lovers. Looks promising and for sure the coconut jelly prices are about $1 less than Melo Melo. And, a lot of the coconut jelly flavors were sold out so that's a good sign that they are good! read more

This was my first time buying from this place and I wanted to try it out since I was introduced to the coconut jelly dessert at the 626 Night Market. I was disappointed that I was scammed from their menu as I was charged more than what was advertised on the menu (see photo). When I brought this to the cashier's attention, she stated there has been a price increase and the owner had control over the menu board. I don't fault the part-time worker but she should be trained or allowed access to make price adjustments for false advertising. The HMart manager tried to investigate with the worker as well but HMart has no control with the cash register. The food tasted ok, I just wouldn't pay over $12 for the jar. This was my first time trying coconut jelly in such a way and I absolutely loved it so much so that I had it again the next day! The price is a little much but maybe it works for some people. The mango one is the only one I've had and so far it has been fresh mangoes. It's located inside H mart so might be confusing if you're looking for their logo outside. It's worth grabbing and they give you a cute little spoon with it as well. It's also located in the same plaza as Fika Fika so can stop by there too and grab somethign delicious. They close earlier than the supermarket, and you can't check out at the H mart cashier as they have their own cashier during their store hours. If you recycle 10 jars then you get 1 free but they are planning to have new containers soon so this program will discontinue. They sell out of some flavors on weekends. They only had 1 durian left on Saturday around 4:30pm. I like that the durian comes with junks of durian rather than the runny version at Melo Melo. read more

The texture is not like Jello but soft and creamy, more like soft silken tofu or a French style yogurt cooked in a pot (e.g., Oui). It's lightly sweetened and tastes like coconut cream. The coconut jelly came in a cute, clear jar along with two of their own custom spoons that were really nice and definitely worth keeping. Never knew a shop like this existed let alone knew what Coconut jelly King was all about. We were visiting the HMART market in Arcadia and noticed the Coconut Jelly King at the Food Court. Judging by their menu they mainly specialize in drinks and jelly made with coconut but they had other items on their menu. We got the Pineapple Coconut Jelly and the double Coconut jelly to try out. They were packed in a dessert jars and refrigerated. To be clear Asian jelly is made with Agar or Arrowroot. It is not Jello which is made with gelatin derived from animals. The Pineapple Coconut Jelly had shredded Pineapple base topped with Coconut Jelly made with slightly sweetened Coconut milk. I like Pineapple I thought it would be my favorite. I liked the Double Coconut Jelly a lot more. The base was a jelly made with Coconut Water and topped with Coconut jelly made with sweetened Coconut Milk. The dessert itself was light and refreshing. The flavors were subtle but it was delicious and turned out to be my favorite. iCYMI, Coconut milk is made from steeping dried Coconut flesh and is usually sweetened for drinks or desserts. It also is used for used as a base for Curries. I just found that they have a location in Lad Vegas so I'll be stopping by soon and try some different flavors. Sorry Yelpers. I purchased three of the coconut jelly desserts, double coconut, mango sago, and matcha. All three of these flavors were absolutely AMAZING. They were all out of the mango sago but the cashier was kind enough to make it for me, I just had to wait about 3 minutes.
