    Strawberry Cheese Pie
    Xixi H.

Popped in to Coco's for Pi Day (March 14th) and was thankful they still had a lot of pies to get! The strawberry cheese pie was amazing - it's sort of like a creamy cheesecake with giant strawberries on top. Highly recommend! We ordered for takeaway so I didn't get much of a chance to experience the service or ambiance but it seemed nice and I'll definitely be back to dine-in in the future.

I love Coco's and always have since I was a child. My parents and I would take my grandma and uncle every Sunday after church and it was always delicious! Sad to see that most of them have closed now and that this is the only one left. Came by with my mom for breakfast this morning since her doctor's appointment got cancelled. Staff were super friendly but this place is super run down. Dirty floors as soon as you enter and there was a giant dead cockroach by the entrance this morning. Sooooo nasty!! Glad I saw it on my way out or else I probably would've lost my appetite. The menus are super beat up to the point where the bottom is ripping off. They have some discontinued items I guess, that were covered with a white address label. Overall though the food was amazing. Probably the best buttered sourdough toast I've ever had and love how well the omelette and potatoes were cooked. I believe our waitress' name was Kim, Vietnamese I think, she was so lovely and super patient with us. She came by to make sure our food was good and if we needed anything else. I love this place and hoping they stay around longer but definitely clean up. IG: @ammysalamii

Its fairly big like most Cocos and maintained ok. There are a lot of different types of pies in the display case. Thats why we stopped by, for some pie. Our server was nice and you could see she was attentive to her customers and helpful. I got the chocolate cream pie. It was sweet and the crust was flakey. The whip cream on top was a bit hardened. Like its been sitting there. Overall not bad. The choc cream was more like filler than cream though. Not sure how to explain it. Kind if glossy? A decent visit. Thank you!

The food was great our hostess was super sweet and nice , she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our breakfast . The ambiance was normal nothing too much .

One of the most comforting bakery/restaurant chains I've ever been to! Even though the outside is a bit outdated, once you step inside, the comforting feeling of a classic 90s diner comes back to you. Even going on a Saturday wasn't busy or overwhelming like most other restaurants. Food portions were surprisingly generous and our server was one of the nicest men I've interacted with. If you're looking for old-style comfort food with a comforting neighborhood atmosphere, I definitely recommend this Coco's

The food was delicious. I ordered the Triple Mega Breakfast. I must say that my eyes were hungrier than what I thought. I also ordered a cinnamon roll. It was decent that it killed the craving of having to go to cinnabon. Overall taste was good and I will probably order it again in the future. ' It's convenient. Located on Sepulveda Bl, almost next to the entrance of the 118 freeway. Plenty of parking available. They have specials on certain days. Overall, I've had a good experience and will be returning in the near future.

    Cockroaches
    Tina D.

This place is literally disgusting! The floors are filthy, the bathroom floors were so dirty and gross with dead bugs smashed on the floor. Then as I walking through the dining room I seen cockroaches on the floor!! What the heck?! How are they even open for business? I took 2 pictures of cockroaches as I was walking through on my way out, sadly after we had already eaten. Makes me want to throw up! Not to mention, there was a hair in the food! Who is running this place???!!! And why hasn't it been shut down??

When we got there, there were only a few tables with guests in the whole restaurant, likely because we got there at 8pm and they close at 9pm. But we stood at the front for a few minutes before anyone greeted us, and when we finally were "greeted", a man just came up to us and looked at us with confusion and didn't say anything, just raised his eyebrows. I said, "Hi! We have 5 adults. May we sit outside please?" He said sure and guided us outside to our table with not much said. We waited quite a while before a server came over to us, and it ended up being the same guy that brought us to the table originally. He came over to us and said, "Drinks?" It was sort of awkward how unwelcome we felt. That was pretty much our entire experience with the server: very slow service, and very few words. Once we put our food order in, we grabbed the Uno deck at a neighboring table to play until the food came out. That was actually really fun! But we waited for the food for so long - playing multiple games of Uno with 5 people and still not having our food. It was painful - especially since it seemed there was not much going on around us. Our hope was the food would be a saving grace here to our first time experience at this restaurant, but unfortunately it was not. My father-in-law liked his salmon dish, and my husband said the steak melt was decent, rating it at a 6.5-7/10. My mother-in-law said she liked her French dip, but barely touched it. My sister-in-law's short ribs had way too much sauce on it and too much salt, so she could not finish hers either because of that. My truffle burger was overwhelmed by blue cheese to the point where you could not taste anything else, so I also could not finish mine because of that. In the end, we all spoke about it and the highlight for our family was that they had Uno available for tables to play. But unfortunately we all agreed we would never be back.

Unfortunately, what should have been a nice experience turned into a very disappointing one. I sat waiting for quite a while and eventually had to wave down a waitress just to get assistance at the counter. The waitress, Margarita (aka Maggie), had a very unfriendly demeanor from the beginning. When I asked a simple question, her response and attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I even told her that I was willing to pay the difference if my meal exceeded the value of the coupon. I was not expecting anything special--just basic courtesy and good customer service. I honestly felt as though I was being treated poorly because I was using a complimentary meal coupon. If you are going to provide these coupons to customers, they should be honored with the same respect and courtesy as any paying customer. I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. Customer service matters, and unfortunately, this experience left a very bad impression. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. Not a happy customer. Staff was just as friendly as before, and the place still has that lived-in, homey charm. I ordered a pair of tacos: BBQ Beef and Crispy Shrimp. Both come with shredded cabbage, sliced jalapeños, cilantro and a creamy, mayo-based sauce. The shrimp taco worked perfectly, with a crispy, tasty coating giving way to plump, fresh shrimp. The sauce melded into the cabbage, almost making a slaw you might get on a po' boy, and the peppers added a nice heat. I added a squeeze of fresh lemon, and that rounded things out nicely. It was a great bite of seafood. The BBQ Beef was less successful. The mayo and an extra dollop of chipotle mayo were too much for the small taco, and overtook the flavor of the beef. The beef had a nice flavor, but was a bit too dry, and had been chopped a bit too finely -- I would have liked larger pieces to really enjoy the flavor. In fact, others were eating the BBQ Beef plate, and the beef there looked far more appealing. So, I'm not discouraged. I'll come back for the full plate treatment, and see how things stack up. I still think this is a great place that deserves your attention and support. Good people.

So I really feel cheated and I was frigging hungry -hungry. The pork was dry and couldn't be swallowed without the bbq sauce and drink. She ordered a hot link with ribs and added a side of ribs for an additional $24. The sides came in a small container I had Mac n cheese and greens which every bite I was like wish I had cornbread to add to these greens. While she had greens and the sweet potato (which by the way was the best thing they had going on) the Mac was average I'm about to reheat and toast again before I hit send for this review. Reheated the side of ribs, greens and Mac and it's a bit better than the pulled pork, but this definitely isn't a bbq spot I'd advise anyone to go to nor would I dare try without bbq sauce and a lot of it. The pastry was golden and crispy, with a gentle firmness at the base to bed the Beef. The Beef Wellington was perfect!! It was tender, cut through like butter and was perfectly seasoned, which awakened your palate. I don't know why I ordered medium. I should have ordered medium rare. Note to self. The pommes puree was firm yet smooth. I couldn't get enough of it. I think I licked my fork I was driving so one glass of Cabernet would do. I ended this spectacular meal with a slice of cheesecake.
