The white mocha latte they gave me tasted like basil/pesto? it tastes like instead of white mocha syrup they put pesto and basil leaf in the coffee? Genuinely strange and off putting savory panini pasta flavored coffee? very strange.. Forgive me if i'm missing something, maybe that's their version of a WM? but that was undrinkable. The shop itself is nice though

We recently found Coffee Cycle and brought my in-laws to try some fresh coffee. My husband and in-laws enjoyed the lattes they had and I ordered a tea latte with their house made lavender syrup. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I don't drink coffee, so I asked (the owner) what teas he recommended and he mentioned that they're also known for their teas and had different house made syrups to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed my tea latte. The shop itself is small with the "cart"on one side and a couple bar stools inside where the merchandise is. There are tables outside where you can sit and wait for your drink after ordering. Overall, service is excellent and the drinks were tasty. Solid cups too! Highly recommend checking out Coffee Cycle.

This is a real coffee shop. You can see where the beans are sourced from. The coffee and food are delicious. I saw a guy eating a delicious looking burrito at the table in the front of the shop. I asked him to excuse me because I wanted to look at the menu in front of him. He said "you can ask me anything about the menu". Turns out he was the owner. How funny! Super cool guy. This place is legit. Great food and culture. I'd be happy to support this place. Great environment!

I've been going to Coffee Cycle in PB for years, my favorite by far for many reasons. I went to the Coffee Cycle in OB which opened up last week, all the great coffee, people and bike vibe of PB with more space! Great job on the new shop!

CUTE AND CHILL VIBES (5 stars) First time here and first time having sugar-cane processed decaf coffee beans. Okay okay, we all know, I am a lover of decaf, specifically through SWP. To discover a local coffee shop that decaffeinates through sugar-cane processing is something new to me. I've always read about it but haven't tried it until my visit here. What is that? There are multiple ways the decaffeinate. The regular chemical way, swiss water processed (natural no chemicals), and sugar-can processed (also natural no chemicals). "The sugarcane process gets its name because ethyl acetate, or EA, is used to decaffeinate coffee. EA is a natural compound derived from cane sugar that can be found in fruits and other foods. Being derived from sugar, EA bonds to chlorogenic acids found in caffeine. When EA bonds to chlorogenic acids, the separation of the caffeine from the coffee bean begins." DECAF VANILLA LATTE - good beans. It was balanced but did have a very slight hint of acidity even with vanilla flavor. I like my beans with more notes chocolatey and nutty than fruit notes because I like that smooth and rounded flavor. The acidity was barely noticeable and quickly dissipated. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAI DONUT - this was cool! Thai tea flavored icing on a cake donut. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Will mosdef be back! JABA APPROVED. Until the next review...

My wife and I love coffee and when we are traveling , we always try local coffee roasters. We were in Pacific Beach and decided to try Coffee cycle. When we walked in you immediately notice the coffee kart , well that's their roots What I like was the careful consideration the young man gave to each cup of coffee he was making, you can clearly see he sourced out everything he uses to make his coffees , that what sets him apart from the others and makes his coffees memorable and great tasting, if you are a coffee lover, don't miss this place, a note to the owner, " I love your logo "

Coffee places are normally a dime a dozen. Many places just take your order and charge you $3-$5 for something pre-made or watered down specialty drinks. NOT HERE!!! Coffee Cycle is a "Divine Coffee Experience". The owner Chris has perfected the average cup of "Joe" into art. From the moment you walk in, it's a personalized experience designed for your taste. Each cup is made just for you. It's a must do for anyone who enjoys coffee. From smelling the beans, watching them ground and prepared. This place isn't average by any means. I went here for the first time because I was in the area, and I loved it!! The baristas/staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Kenya drip coffee and the house Americano. Both were 10/10~! Definitely one of my new favorite places in SD, can't wait to be back. read more

Awesome. The Costa Rica Cafe Corazon was clearly freshly roasted and pour over drip aroma was a morning pleasure. Definitely makes you want to forget that burnt mass market chain store coffee. read more

Do NOT go to Starbucks!!! Go here!! Such a cute place with in house made syrups and cashew/macadamia nut milk--so good!! This place is great! I asked them to make my coffee hotter because I forgot to ask for extra hot and they said they couldn't do that but insisted on making my drink over!! So nice of them to do that! The guys working there were super cool and friendly--will definitely be back! read more

I didn't think this coffee shop could get better, but it did! Much better. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Now they are roasting their own coffee and it is fantastic. Tried the Guatemala medium roast as espresso this morning... incredible. Bought the dark roast for home, can hardly wait. My go to place for coffee. I love coffee, the actual taste of a good bean. Roasted to perfection and prepared correctly. Not whipped cream, flavored syrup, or candy toppings. This is where you get it. I'm not saying they don't offer candied coffee, just that they have coffee that that doesn't need it. The owner knows his craft and it shows. read more

Parking is rough, but they know their coffee and make a fantastic cup of pour over. It was well worth the walk. The barista let us smell the different coffees that were available. We ended up getting the Kenyan and Ethiopian single orgin offerings. Bother we're delightful. read more

What a lovely spot. I've bought whole bean coffee here a few times before and it's always been excellent. We stopped by on Valentine's Day and bought a pour over Ethiopian coffee, and it's wonderful. The people working inside are so nice and helpful, the clientele always seems so happy and kind, and the coffee is great. Highly recommend. Grab a coffee, walk a half mile to Kate Sessions, and drink in San Diego. read more

Best coffee in San Diego! The coffee flavors are awesome, home made, natural and not too sweet. I haven't tried all flavors, but I love the lavender Bliss! I love going there for the coffee and for the staff! Best customer friendly service I've ever seen! They make you feel very special and that you're with friends. One time I mentioned that some days I miss getting a coffee, because I can't be there before 2, the barista gave me a number to txt when I want a coffee but I'm running few min late. Next time I did that, they prepared my coffee and waited for me to get there. Who does that? True genius and genuine small business worthy of our loyalty! read more

I live right next door and finally just checked it out. Excellent coffee. Chris took his time with each and every step - and it shows in the taste and texture of my coffee. He has plenty to choose from and will ask your taste preferences and guide you to something delicious. His homemade syrups were all great too. He made a little flight so I could taste each one. Needless to say, you are not going to get this attention to detail at your chain coffee shops. read more

Super friendly and helpful staff and consistently makes the best coffee I've ever had. There's a LOT of coffee joints around PB and this one definitely stands out. By far the best coffee experience I've ever had. A taste of vagabond inspiration, a drop of entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with ridiculously delicious gourmet coffee. 5 stars, 10/10 and a knod from the queen of England wouldn't even do this place justice. Used to be someone who rode around on a bike selling coffee - they still use the original cart. Super small (no place to hangout and work) and super cute. Staff was amazing - explained everything and were incredibly kind. The coffee was good. We got a pour over with their house made simple syrup and an americano with some of their house made oat milk. 10/10 would return! read more

Love this place! Followed Chris here after being a fan of his at Bird Rock Coffee -- he does not disappoint! So excited to see that he's opened up shop on Grand Ave. The coffee is really really good, you can tell that Chris puts a lot of love and care into choosing each one. He also makes all the syrups in house and they're amazing! All the drinks are super good and reasonably priced -- got an iced chai latte there with almond macadamia milk (excellent non-dairy choice, mixes super well with all drinks and tastes really smooth & good!). Chris is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Feel free to chat him up before you place an order, he'll help you make the right choice (everything here is amazing)! read more

Chris and the gang at Coffee Cycle are the BEST! Not only do they serve some incredibly delicious coffee, but every person who works there is so genuine, engaging, and friendly and will always make your coffee stop a highlight of your morning. I personally love the yogi cafe with their homemade cashew macadamia milk, but everything else I've tried is fantastic too. I would give this 6 stars if cats were allowed but unfortunately Chris is allergic to cats. I found this place through some coworkers and in spite of the fact I can get the finest Peet's Coffee from Gelson's next door to my house, I find it quite enjoyable to start my day with an Iced Americani (o) crafted from the finest coffee nuggets served with the wittiest banter found outside the greater Britannia. This is just literally the most friendly and unassuming coffee joint I've ever encountered and even though they want to sell me crafty coffee cocktails, I insist on the "Coors Light" of their selection which every time blows me away. Even though Chris is a rockstar and a scholar, Brittany and May are the real gems of the show. They sincerely make every visit idiomatically distinctive and intimate in the way they personalize every visit to this exquisitely fashionable caffeine pharmacy of what we call the greater Pacific Beach. What I am getting at with this excessively, immoderate, inordinate, extreme, extravagant, exorbitant, too much, too great, disproportionate, unnecessary, unreasonable, uncalled-for, overmuch, superfluous, redundant, lavish, prodigal, overdone verbose is: Coffee Cycle is Community and therefore should be supported and appreciated! When I noticed he had used oat milk instead of whole, he immediately offered to remake both drinks. I told him not to worry about it -- honestly, the lattes were SO good it didn't even matter! But what happened next truly blew me away: he told me my entire order was on him for the mix-up. I insisted on paying but he wouldn't hear of it, and on top of that, he wanted to give my daughter a muffin too. I was speechless. That kind of genuine, above-and-beyond hospitality is so rare. The biscoff latte is an absolute must (even with oat milk), it was incredible. And the beignets with chocolate hazelnut filling? Do not skip them. The setup itself is charming! Unfortunately, this experience has left such a bad impression that I won't be returning. There are plenty of other bakeries in the area, and I'll be looking forward to trying those instead.

I really enjoyed the rice - it had a smoky, earthy flavor from the mushrooms that added a lot of depth. The hamburger patty helped balance out the saltiness well
