I love better buzz but this location has a very poor layout. The drive through backs up onto the street and can only fit 2-3 cars. Impossible to enter from the opposite side of the street. I've also had them tell me to pull forward past the window which blocks the whole drive through anyway if they aren't ready with your drink and then people behind you get angry and honk. Unless the drive through is empty I would say to skip this location. Tried their pumpkin dream puff iced espresso. The cream puff was super sweet. The marshmallow cream on the bottom was a bit odd. The pumpkin cream and espresso were excellent, would get just this combo again. read more

I ordered a regular cappuccino with my croissant and requested a receipt. I never got the receipt and the drink was only half full! The line is from foam dissolving, I hadn't even taken a drink yet. I returned a week later and mentioned it and was served a regular amount, which again the foam dissolved by the time I got home. I guess I'm going to have to check every time. read more

My daughter and I wanted to try the Matcha drinks because we did not get enough at 12-hour Matcha. So we ventured a few stores down to "Better Buzz Coffee" to order food and try their Matcha beverages. This place is very cute and esthetically pleasing to the eyes. We ordered two Matcha beverage. Also, since 12-hour Marcha did not serve food we had to eat something as well. I ordered an Açaí bowl and my daughter had a breakfast sandwich. We enjoyed both of our orders. My açaí bowl was loaded with plenty of fruit, hemp hearts, and cocoa nibs. So flavorful and delicious. My daughter's sandwich looked so good. It had egg, ham, and cheese in a wrap. She loved it. Unfortunately, the Matcha drinks were not good. They were bigger in size, but tasted bad. They mixed the Matcha with water instead of milk. Really? Anyway, I give 4 stars because the food was good, however, the Matcha drinks were not. . We ended up throwing them out. Yikes! read more

We found this great coffee spot while on vacation and are so happy we did! Also sad because we don't have any back home. Their coffee choices are remarkable and so delicious. We had a caramel frappe and customized it with cinnamon and the extra thick option and it was amazing! We also had their signature Best Drink Ever hot with heavy cream and were equally impressed. It's a cute and clean little spot. No indoor seating at this location but a cute little high top nook outside was comfy for us that morning. They were super busy so we waited "a little longer" for the hot drink but the server was super apologetic even though we didn't thunk it was that long of a wait-maybe 8 minutes. If you're in this area in Mission Bay you must try them! read more

I ordered the avocado toast and the best drink ever with coconut flavoring for delivery. The avocado toast had microgreens and lemon as garnish and the bread slices were hearty and surprisingly filling. The coffee was very strong but not bitter at all. The sweetness was perfect and the coffee was not watered down at all. It definitely lived up to the name of the best drink ever! read more

Located close to the beach. I wanted their chai latte but since they use powder, I opted for the matcha latte. It was very , very sweet. If you're into the Starbucks style drinks (lots of sugar, powders, and lots of varieties) this might be the place for you. My favorite coffee, "Honey latte with whipped cream on top!" It's the best coffee ever but lately the temperature is not hot enough! I introduced it to a very special friend of mine and it is now his new favorite coffee too, except he orders his with extra honey. However, it gives me jitters (maybe it's just me). Oh man I think this is worse better buzz location. I used to come here a lot when I used to work at PB and the place looks not cute at all. I've been to better buzz in poway, Mira mesa, fashion valley, Miramar, and Rancho penasquitos and this is probably the most unaesthetic and super small place. Worst of all, I ordered Cortado, I think they made me latte... . Everyone looks like they were busy and I didn't want to confirm if they gave me Cortado or latte... it's too much volume for Cortado for sure.. Better buzz is a special treat! All of the drinks I have had there are delicious. I often get a lavender buzz. It's best to order that not ahead of time so you still get the blended drink vs it melted down. The service there is a like a well oiled machine. I often use the app to get points which yields free drinks or specials! Once I had an issue with ordering my free drinks and they helped me no problem. This location is mainly drive through but does have two parking spots. You can also park in the neighboring fast food parking lot quick if you need to pick up a to go order. The driver through exits to an alley so drive safe! read more

While on vacation the last few years we have always gone here. They have delicious smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, lattes & more. The service is pretty fast for how long the lines get. It's a quick walking distance from the beach house & makes for a quick morning bite on the go. I love their mango smoothie! My daughter loves their iced lavender matcha latte. Wish they would have ask me or told me about the rewards program. We discovered Scottsdale has one so have been ditching Starbucks & Dutch bros to come to better buzz. read more

The annoying thing about this place is they are slow at the drive thru. Cars are hanging out in the street and they are just slow to take orders. Its dangerous. It's mind blowing. It's just coffee. I just don't get it. Their coffees and teas are good. Don't order any food, you'll be waiting even longer in the parking lot. read more

Turned out to be way too sweet for my liking, I might have overlooked that but it was way too milky and not so much coffee tasting. Cute coffee shop by the beach, great coffee, and good service. I ordered the Caramel vanilla iced latte w/ oat milk and my sister ordered their coconut drink w/ coconut milk. Both were so amazing, it was perfectly sweet and coffeey. I would highly suggest getting the coconut milk for the coconut drink and the oat milk for my Caramel vanilla latte, it made a huge difference in taste! Highly recommend! read more

Ever since my daughter turned me on to Better Buzz because she likes the hot chocolate creaminess better than the Green Mermaid's blend, I as a non-coffee, devoted to Chai, loyal customer of Green Mermaid will take the extra 10 minutes to drive to PB East 1909 Garnett location For: HAZELNUT DIVINITY (w/almond milk) sweet nectar. Yes, I know, it's coffee - but it's so so good! Better Buzz made a brilliant recipe!! Yes, I know there are other colony locations. Believe me, in a pinch, I'll buzz up to their counter. It's a different experience though - recipe is inconsistent esp at Grand local. At PB East the crew, new hires and old brood, always look up from their tasks to greet the open door. They are usually laughing and doing the kitchen "waggle dance" to operate in the cramped honeycomb. They work together, genuinely like each other and recognize their community as we pass through. My drink, and my daughter's hot chocolate at 140*, from PB East is stored in my Favorite Orders tab in the app. A feature of the app that makes ordering from specific locations super easy! I can modify others' drinks with the many modifier options in the app. I wish I could consolidate leftover gift card amounts in the app. That requires reaching out to cust. service. Oceanside made a fantastic Avocado Toast. My Jr Lifeguard kiddo feels grown-up when she orders from the Mission Beach mayhem spot. They treat her with maturity not like a "kid" surrounded by "real" customers. Fashion Valley has their hands full with long lines and still they smile and enjoy naming the butterflies and birds that frequent their window. PB West is a bigger space, often tourists drop by. The crew drones stay pretty distant from customer interaction and it's nice to relax upstairs with view of beach while we wait - and it is a wait at this location- for our BB. I still pick up Green Mermaid drinks for my hubby and other kiddo. That staff is also friendly. They say they miss me. I blush and almost immediately start craving a bee-bop to pollinate my Hazelnut tastes. So, I fly back down to Lindsey and the hive she cultivates with their ease and compassion and familiarity.
