They make all their chocolate in‑house, and it's 100% vegan, which is amazing. They offer truffles, "nibbles," chocolate‑covered nuts, and tons of different flavors. They even have little samples of each, which is such a nice touch. I went with the strawberry cream chocolate, and it was so tasty -- creamy, flavorful, and made with oat milk. Many of the chocolates you can sample are also available as truffle flavors, so it's fun to try a few before choosing. Sadly, I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and the espresso machine had just been cleaned, so they couldn't make espresso‑based drinks. I opted for an iced tea instead. They offer matcha, coffee, tea, and chocolate drinks, so there's plenty to choose from. I'd definitely come back for sweet treats or gifts. The wrapping is adorable, the name is intentional and memorable, and I love the story behind the brand. A charming little spot worth revisiting.

This location is shared with other businesses and it's pretty unassuming from the outside.. it does have both street parking and a private parking lot which is great. I'm sure it's busier during the week but on the weekend. While I was craving a Matcha, my husband was craving something sweet. We definitely both scored. Since I prefer my lattes half sweet with just a subtle flavor so I can still taste the coffee, she was super accommodating and made mine with just a little bit of their lucuma syrup/mixture. It was SO good! The flavors were perfectly balanced and I could still taste the coffee, exactly how I like it. Parking is super easy since it's in a strip mall. Definitely coming back to try more of their drinks and food!

The crumb was blue, not fake blue, but like they had mixed crushed or blueberry juice with the dough.

I love a well balanced latte of milk, add-ons, and heavy espresso. Extra points of the milk and syrups are made in house. Gold Soul didn't quite hit the mark for me. Their lattes really lean into the sweetness. I even added in additional milk and espresso once we got home. The girl working the booth was an absolute pleasure and I love their cutesy branding. I wouldn't seek this place out on a return trip to SD, but I truly enjoyed the overall vibes!

There's a beautiful mural that captured my eyes though. Their walk up counter was pretty high so short ppl-- aka 5ft2 and under will have hard time seeing the screen for tapping your card. The woman working the front had great vibes and was super sweet. At the time we went, it was only her taking orders & making drinks. The line behind us began to grow, luckily I think 2 workers showed up a little while after. She asks for our name so they call it out when it's ready, although that can be muffled when the dj set is playing. I got one of their specialty drinks, a combination I really love: ~$5-6, Iced Milano Latte (Espresso, Honey, Lavender, Milk). I think they have a specific cup size choice for iced drinks, I usually go with 12 oz but I may have gotten a 16 oz this day. The lavender flavor came through, but it was subtle. I think next time I'd love to try their Roma Latte (Caramel) or a seasonal (which wasn't on their official menu, but written on a board placed on the ground). My brother ordered the Iced Pistachio Latte with Oat Milk. I think that the oat milk and pistachio were fighting for dominance and the oat milk won. It was still an ok latte, maybe it would be better with whole milk-- as the oat milk (in my opinion) was the more prominent flavor. I'm not sure if they use a syrup or not...but I think if they were to use a pistachio butter with the espresso, it would make the drink creamy and even more delicious. We would most definitely be coming back to Caffé di Talya in Pacific Beach. A lovely morning spot with plenty of seating, great music, and tasty drinks. Not only that but they have pastries and later on they have lunch items too.
