Went back tonight and am still in love with this place. There has been an ownership change and a few tweaks to the menu. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. He gave great input into his favorite items and I got the cochinita pibil. It was very good. Tons of flavor and made correct. My wife had the enchiladas suizas which were amazing. There was three and a great value. Lastly my mom got the beer battered fish tacos and she said they were the best she's had in Phoenix. So glad this place changed hands but still hits all the marks. Walked in around 4 PM and the place was so quiet I almost missed it, but I'm so glad I didn't. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely out of this world. Honestly, it was even better than Javier's in Newport Beach. Everything was full of flavor and beautifully made. I definitely recommend coming here to try it. This place was an unexpected gem in a random plaza. We saw that on weekends we should go early due to limited size of place and we got there at 5 on Saturday. Seemed to be a good move on our part. We started with margaritas and agua frescas and they did not disappoint. We opted for chips and guac and were stoked because the guac was fresh and the salsas and bean dip was delish! We had both rojo and negro mole as well as quesabirria tacos and we couldn't have been happier. Everything was so fresh and incredibly tasty. Service was excellent. Probably the worst Mexican food ever eaten. The chicken in the Fajitas was such a joke and we felt we were eating at a Chinese restaurant as it was shredded and not sliced. They had no authentic Mexican flavors and were sautéed on a skillet with salt and black pepper. It was not even charcoal grilled as other high end restaurants do. The salsa and chips were ordinary and had no wow factor. The server even charged us $2 extra for 2 tortillas that we ordered. She could be more transparent and communicated that to us prior. We like to try new places and Corazon De Agave caught our eye. While the exterior is consistent with the typical mall restaurant drab design, inside this eatery is utterly charming! Comfortable seating, bright surroundings, and a true Mexican vibe lends itself to feeling like you're on vacation. There is a cute bar and a combination of high tops and customary tables and chairs. Unfortunately the day we visited there was only one server on the premises but we will presume that someone had called in sick that day. You can't go wrong on the food. Scrumptious quesa fundidos with chorizo crumble was served but I recommend they bring more than 3 tortillas to the table. Steak tacos were good and the chicken tortillas were totally delicious!! The prices are on the high side, making it somewhat difficult to try an assortment of offerings. Drink prices are also high, and I believe slightly lower prices would result in more rounds being purchased. The flan is to die for. I loved eating here and will definitely return. Cadillac margarita was very good. My friends and I shared the Queso fundido with chorizo. They ordered different enchiladas plates and I got a mix of three different tacos. The food was delicious. Well prepared, and nicely plated. The service was excellent. The menu was described with passion and any option you need to alter or enhance the flavor or spice was offered. I got the feeling that they know their food is good, but want to make it exceed your expectations. I liked the design and decor of the inside also. It made for a nice ambiance. We came in on a Sunday for lunch after reading some reviews online. It's a cute place with a modern design. The bar area is small but well stocked. It has an upscale feel and the restaurant area was very clean. We were promptly seated and our server brought a small plate with nice thick tortilla chips, 2 different sauces and a small dish of bean dip. The menu had a great selection of items including choices from their lunch menu. My husband ordered Taco De Pescado and I chose Quesabirrias With Consome. I enjoyed my lunch (although my dish was a bit greasy and needed an acidic element to cut the fat) and my husband really loved his tacos. The service was also stellar; our server was attentive and check on us several times. Their green chili sauce was seriously good enough to drink! We will be back! read more

But I think they were for birds with the portion size so small. Ordered drinks, they were good, but not very strong and small for the amount. Next had the quest with chorizo... the cheese was good, but way to stringy... hard to eat... next we had the steak fajitas, only comes with guacamole, rice and beans.. no other sides.. it was pretty bland with the the steak a little tough.. we also had the enchiladas.. those were pretty good, but a bit underwhelming. Then we had church's with soupy ice cream. The ice cream was so melted when they served it to us.. not even sure the Churro's were fresh.. they were warm but bot recently made. The food is excellent with a great flavor profile so unique from your standard Mexican restaurant. We really liked the sopesitos as a starter. The carne asada tacos were excellent as was the garlic camarones. The flan for dessert was a good size and very good. They lost a star due to the plastic glasses for both the water and margaritas. This is not inexpensive so plastic really takes away from the experience and terrible from a waste standpoint. Also a lot of things come in servings of 3 which doesn't work well to share. Amazingly friendly service and delicious food! The Queso Fundido very literally made me want to lick the plate! The fresh tortillas took it to the next level! My friend had the chicken fajitas and was as impressed by the flavors as she was by the huge portions. The cochinita pibil literally melts in your mouth! Spiffy new place in a suburban strip mall with high end Mexican cuisine and a modern vibe. Sis and I went for a Thursday night dinner after 7pm. No wait for seating in this overly bright, white room with wood lamps and green plant accents. Lovely bar along the back. Our server was friendly and efficient, with a very quick turnaround on drink orders and water refills. We started with guacamole and chips, which was an immediate photographic opportunity because it looks different, using cubes of avocado for a beautiful change of pace. Chips were light and not too salty. Sis ordered garlic shrimp and I had the chicken enchiladas Suizas. Both came with a different rice. The shrimp were fully cooked but not as browned as we would prefer. Nice flavor. Salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and avocado came with the shrimp. The rice with this plate was a buttery white rice. The enchiladas Suizas were gooey with a succulent green sauce, crema drizzle and packed with shredded tender white meat. I ate only half of the three. The red onions on top were way too thick. Otherwise lovely. This dish was accompanied by a nice orange Spanish rice with a few peas. Very enjoyable and good quality and preparation. I also had a house margarita for $5 with a tajin rim. It was a pretty large glass, although not super strong it had a nice flavor and was clearly not from a bottled mixer. I appreciate an affordable cocktail even outside of happy hour! There's no one to greet you at the door. People were working but literally nobody acknowledged us and they made us awkwardly stand by the door while they acted like we didn't exist for about five minutes. Once someone did greet us they acted confused about our reservation and disappeared in back leaving us to wait again. Once we finally got our table, they didn't bring us menus or water or anything for a solid 15 minutes until we finally got up and walked out. A complete and total disorganized mess. A beautiful place with modern decor, I especially loved the light fixtures. Our server was kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We were the only people dining-in the whole time we were there, but it did seem like there were a few take out orders. I love Mexican food, but was in the mood for a salad. The salad was amazing with lots of generous amounts of all the ingredients and the shrimp were perfectly grilled. The salad had all the toppings in little piles on top; as I struggled to mix it without making a mess, I wished I had asked for a plate to serve it on. By the time I reached the bottom, the ratios were off and it was mostly just the lettuce. I also wish the music had been a little quieter, we struggled to hear each other talking and felt like we were shouting. They were kind and did turn it down when we asked, but this is a detail that should be considered by the staff from a weekend night volume to a weekday lunch volume. read more

Lovely ambiance - A warm, inviting space, perfect for a leisurely meal... if only the meal would arrive. The Bad: Service is painfully slow - Plates arrive at random, if at all. Orders forgotten, sides missing, confusion reigns. Portions are small - Delicious, yes, but hardly a meal. One expects satisfaction, not a snack. Inconsistent experience - Some tables served quickly, others ignored, as if a lottery determines who gets fed. Final Thought: I came in hoping for a feast and left contemplating a second dinner. I grew up on Mexican food and I saw this place and decided to stop by to eat. Right away, I noticed the nice modern Mexican ambiance on the inside, there was Mexican music playing and nice decor with Spanish quotes on the wall, the bar along the wall is a great place for groups especially with the variety of cocktails. The food, firstly I was given free tostadas with a delicious refried bean dip with a cheese crumble, green and red salsa which tasted fresh. I ordered the Queso Fundido con Chorizo as a starter, unfortunately no picture included, mainly because I devour it very quickly, the gooey cheese and the hint of chorizo is an addicting combo, it also comes with 4 corn or flour tortillas, great for sharing. For my entree I got the Enchiladas Rojas with a side of red rice and refried beans, the enchiladas are stuffed with chicken that could've been an entree on its own, but in addition to that there is a delicious red sauce, crema drizzle with a cilantro and red onion on top, which is a nice addition to the already delicious enchiladas. The red rice was also great, not to mushy like other restaurants make their red rice, but it was a great flavor and consistency. Finally, for dessert I've had the Flan, a really smooth and sweet dessert with a caramel drizzle, and whipped cream. The service was exceptional, but to be fair it started getting busier as the night went on, and it seemed like there was only 2 servers that night. Unfortunately I didn't get my servers name, but he did his very best to make sure I was taken care of, despite the busy night. Overall I recommend this place to everyone but especially to groups who are in the mood for Mexican food and cocktails, as it is a great place with a great ambiance that serves great food. read more

1st, I am an accomplished cook, and an accomplished and seasoned 'Foodie'. This was Absolutely the Best and most Authentic Mexican cuisine I am aware of in the North Phoenix/Scottsdale area. The general Manager, Luis, knows his market and his craft which shows in the way his staff makes you feel like the only people in the planet. The decore and layout is clean and stylish. Everything we were served, from cold refreshing water to tortillas to cocktails, to three courses (Chips and a very generous portion of Guacamole, maybe the best Chili Rellano I have ever had in my life and , spectacular Red Posole).
