Expired bag of chips - guaranteed fresh until November 18, 2025. Today is April 22, 2026.

I'm really grateful that Corner Bakery recognizes administrative professionals for Administrative Professionals Day and I was fortunate to have redeemed the free meal. However, I was shocked to see that this location may not check expiration dates for their items. I was given chips that expired 5 months ago and didn't notice until I was already back at my office and about to enjoy my meal. Please make sure to check the expiration date of your bagged chips before you leave. Hopefully they go through their inventory so this doesn't happen to you.

This location is always clean and service is fast so customers are in and out quickly. In the cal plaza, I know their food is consistently good and their team members are friendly. For breakfast, we got power bowls, pancakes, and iced coffee. I like that there's an additional coffee add-ons station as well. The bowl was very filling and pancakes were fluffy and sweet. The coffee is very strong!

Since I've started working in the area, Corner Bakery at the 1Cal Marketplace has been in my lunch rotating quite often. It's nothing fancy but it never pretended to be! The employees are all nice and hardworking. My only small gripe is that sometimes it's hard to get their attention when you're there for pickup. Speaking of which, always order ahead if you're here for lunch as they get quite busy/chaotic. But they really do bust their backs to get all the orders out in a timely manner. I appreciate that they always check the orders before handing out the food to make sure nothing is missing. My usual go-to order is either the Carved Ham & Swiss or the Club Panini. I also tried the Meatball Panini but I wasn't a fan as the panini is smushed down so the meatballs are pretty thin/barely there (it comes with a dipping marinara sauce). The menu is not really complicated and you can modify any order so you're bound to get something you like. All in all, this Corner Bakery will get the job done if you want a little something for breakfast or lunch. Most get their food to go but there's plenty of tables inside if you want to stay (not to mention a plethora of shaded tables outside in the marketplace if you want some fresh air). This is probably the cleanest Corner Bakery I've been to and the employees deserve kudos for dealing with entitled businesspeople/brats on a daily basis.

Super. I had black coffee and an avocado breakfast wrap. Out the door for $11. Perfect amount of food. I didn't have to lug around 1/2 a burrito all day. Friendly. Clean

The restaurant was kind of small but it was clean. Everything was so flavorful and delicious! Seafood kalguksu 9/10: it was def filled with various seafoods. The flavor was super bold and a bit spicy but not intolerable. I love the texture of the noodles. Perfectly cooked. Bossam 9/10: also such an amazing dish! Perfect ratio of fat to meat. I do wish that for this large plate they gave us more cabbage. We ended up ordering more for $5 but I think it should be included given the amount of meat. Parking was valet and it's a small lot. I think we paid $5 for parking. I think there's also street parking but we wanted to play it safe and just do valet. Overall it's such nice place to eat with a group of friends. You line up outside to wait and the turnover is usually fairly fast. They will take your order as you wait in line so by the time you're seated, you're not waiting forever for your food. My go to is their spicy seafood kalguksu, which contains plenty of seafood and always hits the spot. I've also had their chicken and clam ones as well, which are both super flavorful. I enjoy the squash and potatoes that they put in their noodles though sometimes the potato is less mushy/cooked through than what I prefer. The portion sizes are generous so definitely come hungry or you can share as well. I've tried their bossam and jowl combo as well and both are definitely great in their own way, but I absolutely love the minced garlic sauce that comes with the jowl. The jowl is a fattier cut while the bossam is meatier.

It's a huge space that gave more industrial vibe to me than traditional Taiwanese theme, but it's totally a very convenient dining spot for both small and big group. We tried some from the menu and were pleased by all of them. They might look small but very filling actually since all the bowls were filled to top. The Dan Dan noodles have flavorful peanut sauce with it perfect noodles texture. Would recommend add extra sides for proteins, which we opted for pork belly and minced pork. The belly was extremely tender with thick juicy slices. The minced pork was equally palatable. They're generous in portion for being sides, we even packed some home. We obviously didn't skip their Hakka Mochi for dessert, which were still warm chewy yet moist when served and covered in overflowing black sesame and peanut powder. I wasn't usually a fan of black sesame but decided to give this one a try anyway and ending up no regrets at all! The powder was such spoiling mix of sweet and salty in one bite.

Dashi was VERY good. Generous amount of grated daikon. Assort. Tempura: Saw this being served while waiting. Looked really good and it WAS! Large shiitake mushroom. Fan cut Japanese eggplant, kabocha pumpkin, shrimp tempura & two (2) shiso leaves. All VERY crisp not oily. Warm dashi side had deep umami rich flavor. Probably made the legit kombu & bonita flake method. #1 ordered the Miso carbonara: garlicky carbonara served with their signature house-rolled out udon. Wonderful dish. Portion sizes were adequate. #2 ordered the Uni carbonara: same garlicky carbonara with uni bits strewn about. Estimating one whole uni broken. This actually works for ease of eating. Plus, uni ranges in the $18/oz on the low end to $60 or more/oz on the higher end. Yes we love & appreciate their gonads. Udon noodles were chewy, bouncy & worth the wait. It's Hella lot of work! Yamachan produces large scale udon/ramen in San Jose. It's fine. Let them work out the dough to water ratio. Also portion size was decent since we shared a couple apps.
