Grossest sandwich every. Came super cold like out of the freezer. Paid 3.7 for bacon 1 strip of bacon and 1 ham on the " ham on the pretzel sandwich. Wtf is this trash. Food literally feels like it was frozen a night before and they put it in the bag and sent it. Even bacon was freaking cold and my office was only 0.5 miles away driver picked up and brought to me instantly. Oh and salad had bunch of old lettuce. I tried to eat but it's just gross

    Chicken Carbonara and Chicken Pomodori

Came here because a friend told me about this choose two of any pasta, salad, sandwich or soup for $6.99! Since my mom hates waiting long for her food at restaurants, and we both love a great deal, I decided to celebrate my birthday here. The four of us each got the choose two and highlights include the chicken pompadour sandwich, tomato basil soup, the broccoli cheddar soup, shrimp linguine, and chicken carbonara. Clarence took our order and he was friendly, funny and fantastic! I liked how he told us how much it was first then after he applied the discount! He even asked me to fill out a survey and you get a free cookie! Because we had an early dinner, we were the only ones there which was nice! We all enjoyed ourselves and thank you for such a great deal! Mention this deal when ordering as it ends on 1/31/26!

I ordered a hazelnut latte and a muffin. The staff were very friendly, everything was prepared quickly, the latte was delicious, and there's a cozy outdoor area where you can enjoy your coffee and procrastinate a bit.

So far, my favorite Corner Bakery location. The service was helpful overall, the food was great, and the place is in a pretty area of Pasadena. My wife and I have been loving this two for $6.99 deal they've been running at Corner Bakery (in fact, it's been our favorite deal of the year so far). We have really enjoyed getting to know the menu, and in particular trying the pastas and the great sandwiches with the made-in-house breads. This location is no different. The place is surrounded by large windows, which makes it feel nice and open, and there's plenty of seating inside, no matter how busy it gets (and it can get busy). I ordered the chicken pesto pasta and the green chile chicken sandwich and a caesar salad. The pasta was flavorful and the sauce is generously portioned, which I appreciated. The sandwich was solid - the bread is fantastic, and the green chile and chicken worked well together. I still think I prefer the pomodori sandwich, but I'll get it next time. For $6.99, this deal feels like a steal, and we'll be back at least one more time this month. I hope they keep the deal going :) One small note - it seemed like they had a little confusion going on in the kitchen, and our cashier seemed to keep getting dragged away, or called to by other staff members. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did make the ordering process a little challenging. Other than that, loved it, and we'll be back.

    Bad avocado in our sandwich
    Jessica S.

Was SO disappointed in our meal. Hate wasting $40 on terrible food. We got the "choose two" from the menu. One of us got a club sandwich and half of the avocado was bad. We also had to send our soup back because it was room temp. It seemed like they re-plated our soups and microwaved them. We also had Cesar salad with our combos and some of the lettuce was bad... dressing had a weird fishy taste. We used to like Corner Bakery, but hadn't been there in years. Definitely won't be returning.

This place is hopping for Friday afternoon. Ordered the half and half option. Due to the lunch hour it's best to be patient. It was a little bit of wait before picking up my lunch at the counter today. Everything was made fresh, I love the harvest salad that includes all my favorites , apple bites, walnuts and cranberries. Loved it ! The pink lemonade was refreshing and tasty as well. Park in the back for optimal choices. The front parking is always taken. They take all payment options

Turkey Avocado Cobb and Shrimp Scampi Linguine aldo Cheddar Broccoli Soup (V)
    Miks C.

Hi! 3.5 stars - Had lunch here today.. the good: good turkey avocado cobb salad! They give a lot!!! Shrimp scampi pasta was good just bland and lacked flavor.. the pasta was slightly overcooked for me but still good! I added more cheese! The broccoli and cheese soup was yummy!!! the improvements needed: the floor was wet at the soda areas and near kitchen / counter.. the place itself was a bit untidy.. the tables not wiped down, the carpet looked like it hadnt been vacuumed, the tables outside the cafe werent clean had plates etc and trash that was left and werent picked up. Just left there. Personally i think ppl (customers) should bring it back in and be polite! The staff seemed beat and tired no smiles. Just kinda blah. Anyway i still recommend corner bakery cuz its fresh the price is right and very good! :)

Ordered a Roast Beef Sandwich bread hard not fresh I didn't know that it would be this if i new i would had Panini style didn't know 1st time. Nice place to eat outside but tables need to be clean. Otherwise a good place to eat ambiance nice.

My only remaining sibling died this week. Went to the fancy Macy's on Lake to buy her outfit to be buried in. Afterwards we thought we could use a pick me up. I wanted to go Erewhon but my daughter chose Corner Bakery because the one in Northridge Mall she said is really nice. Then @cornerbakery served me this jacked up chocolate croissant that they left in the microwave too long. (First, the brought it to me ice cold) It was inedible. I also orded a chai latte and what I got was a cup of milk with a splash of chai. They didn't even forth the milk. The Amazon kcup chai tea Is superior to this dreck ! Overall, I've had better quality food and beverage on an cheap airplane. Thanks for taking my money for nothing Corner Bakery. If my family instilled one thing in me it's that there is never an excuse not to do your best. So clearly, this sad ugly croissant and glass of ice milk is the best you can do. Now I feel like the crossaint: overheated and melting. You are terrible @cornerbakery I really needed that tea and croissant and your people just made a bad day worse. #neveragainbecauseyouarebad

    The potato soup.

This is the second time I eat at this restaurant and the potatoes are very sour! Gross. The first time I had the breakfast potatoes they were unreasonably sour. So I sent them back and they said they would make them crispier... still sour tossed them. Today I had their potato soup, not knowing they likely used the same gross potato and they were disgustingly sour. At first it came to the table like warm, the cheese did not even melt. I asked if they could make it hotter and c they kindly popped Irving they microwave. In had to vigorously mix it, and it's was not good. I've ate about 1/2 before I had to throw it away. When the staff checked on me and noticed I was not done with the soup I had to tell them to take it because it was not good. They did not question me. Not appetizing and although the staff is very nice but the food quality is low. Not going to do it a third time.

We had to circle the area a few times to find street parking. It would be nice if they had a designated parking lot in addition to street parking because some of the businesses around there had that. There was seating inside despite the store being pretty small, so my bf and I just ate inside. The cakes were pretty good! I got the Matcha Yuzu and he got the Kinako Chestnut. I couldn't really taste the yuzu until I tried only the first layer of cream. The matcha overpowers the yuzu a lot because there was two layers of matcha cream and one layer of matcha cake. Still really good and can taste that the matcha is high quality! As for the kinako chestnut, we couldn't taste the chestnut much but there were some chestnut pieces hidden in the cake! I would love to try the peach one as well but this place is quite far. Hopefully I'm in the area when they have the peach seasonal again.

Most of the cakes cost $9+ and the sandwiches were $10+! Got the Egg Heaven Sandwich ($13) and it was pretty much an egg salad sandwich. The bread didn't taste fresh and was quite dry. I was expecting the bread to be soft and fluffy but that wasn't the texture at all. The egg salad was quite heavy on mayonnaise and had too much pepper for my preference. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the sandwich unfortunately. The Sunny Side Up (Coconut Mango Mousse Cake) - $9.50 - was delicious! Love how it was nicely packaged in a cute tin! The mango mousse was so creamy and I could tell it was made with sweet mangos! The cake was so moist and fresh. The coconut cream on top made it even more delicious! Definitely recommend! The Tiramisu ($9.50) was so good! It was so creamy and every bite was nicely layered with mascarpone mousse/coffee jelly and topped with cocoa powder. It wasn't too sweet and the cream didn't feel too heavy. The cake was very fresh and soft! Overall, I didn't enjoy the sandwich but the cakes were incredible and definitely worth getting!

I love a good sandwich, but a lot of sandwich places have sandwiches that never seem to be enough food for me LOL. Ggiata's does the job! Ggiata's sandwiches are very hearty! My favorite is the Classic Italian. My wife's favorite is the Prosciutto Panini. FYI - For those who don't like thick bread, you may not like the grilled sesame baguette. But you can totally ask them to replace with the grilled ciabatta! Parking in my opinion just sucks all around Highland Park in general. There is a parking lot at the corner of Meridian / Ave 51 around the corner, but we've never had any luck getting a spot in there so just expect to have to find street parking.

While the menu is the same, the Highland Park spot on York Boulevard has more ample seating (with a diner-style setup along with some sidewalk tables), and I've also found the service to be more welcoming than the other Ggiata location. While both locations manage a lot of to-go orders, I've found that my orders are completed promptly when I've ordered in person at this newer branch. During my most recent visits I ordered the crispy chicken Caesar wraps, and my experience has varied. While I enjoyed it the first time I ate it, the filling ratio was off the second time (with an inordinate amount of Romaine lettuce compared to chicken). While I would not go out of my way to order at Ggiata, it's a decent option if I'm in the area and craving a sandwich.

Hubby got the Classic Aussie sandwich and the bread pudding, while my son and I got the Beef Pho meat pies and Popcorn Pork meat pie rolls. The beef pho meat pie definitely had the pho flavors and aromatics. This was absolutely delicious! The Popcorn Pork was good, not as aromatic as the pho pie. The flavor was lacking on the Taiwanese popcorn chicken basil flavor that it claimed. It reminded me more of a Vietnamese meat pie (pate chaud), which is peppery with a smoother texture that this one did not have, but it was still flavorful. The bread pudding was good but the texture was more dense reminding me of a banana bread loaf. I didn't care for the dollop of yogurt on top, which took away from the flavor of the bread pudding itself. Hubby said the Classic Aussie was good but was expensive for the size of the sandwich (small burger size). Hubby got the Long Black coffee which was good, but sadly my iced matcha latte was lacking in the matcha flavor. It was very pale in color and tasted mostly of milk. Service was quick and friendly. I will come back for the meats and try the other flavors of the meat pies next time.
