If you can make it past the backwards frat hats and dip spit you might be able to order a drink. Good food and good prices, bad service.

I've been to this location a handful of times, and have had a great experience. Like many, my friends and I were looking for a good spot to watch the Viking vs. Packer game downtown, and made our way to Cowboy Jacks. However after yesterday, they have lost me as a customer. I am absolutely APPALLED with what I witnessed. On two separate occasions, Cowboy Jacks security legitimately attacked two of the guests at the bar. As a server for more than ten years, I understand the role of a bouncer is to maintain peace and weed out the ridiculously drunk-- but these attacks were completely unwarranted. I was mid-conversation with a friend of mine, when he was tackled to the ground by two large men, resulting in him being taken by ambulance to the hospital. Later, I saw two other bouncers take a gentleman outside, while punching and kicking him (as if that wasn't enough), ZIP TIED HIM TO A TRAFFIC SIGN and continued to beat him. I have never in my life been more embarassed for an establishment. This is a disgrace, anyone who comes here for a "good time" be warned. I will never be back. read more

I had gone here with my boyfriend during/after a twins game when they were having a 2lb bucket of wings for $5.50 special. I was so pumped and had ordered it plain and asked for boneless. After a few minutes I confirmed with the bartender Ryan that I had ordered boneless and he informed me that the special was only for bone-in so that's what I had ordered. I was disappointed but said it was fine and that my boyfriend could have it. I continued with my drinks and shots and Ryan kept asking how he could fix it and kept insisting that we had to fix it. I kept saying it was fine and that it wasn't a big deal, but thank you for trying to help fix it. They brought the wings out and Ryan was honestly still disappointed for me but I kept insisting it was totally fine. A few minutes later Ryan brought me a plate of boneless wings and said that they had bought me the plate of wings because they didn't want me to be disappointed. I'm serious about my chicken (and was a little tipsy) so I was almost on the verge of tears. The service was fantastic, Ryan went WAY above and beyond what I have ever experienced anywhere, and it made me incredibly happy that we had gone here instead of anyone else. Typically I'm only here on Friday or Saturday nights with friends for the bar, but after tonight I'll be here more often for the food and service. Thank you so much Ryan!! read more

The cheesiness is strong here, but there's certainly some fun and value to be found as well. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the food is pretty decent as far as bar grub goes. The bartender was very friendly, and quick to give advice for an out-of-towner. Overall a fair place to go and just chill. read more

Also includes $3 domestic tap and bottles which'll save you a pretty penny before going in the stadium. Great nightspot with a variety to most genres. The rooftop is a great breath of fresh air until the smokers eliminate the serene date night ambience. The food is bar food like and the designated dance floor is missing. However the entertainment is made up by the sight of the drunken masters of mechanical bull riding. Went in for $5 bucket of wings tonight, too good of a deal to pass up. Sat for about 25 minutes eating peanuts without being acknowledged. I don't really feel it's my job at a restaurant to ask for service at my table so after two rounds of free peanuts I left. No one who worked there spoke to me the entire time I was there other than to confirm that I should seat myself. Very disappointing. Staff seemed more concerned with socializing with one another than acknowledging paying customers. Won't be back, the good deals don't make up for non-existent service read more

They have a sign that says Saloon? Their motto is "Come back to the Wild West"? We stopped the Friday night before the Kenny Chesney/Jason Aldean concert. We were thinking we could have a few drinks and listen to some Country Music...boy were we wrong! What we found is that this is just another run of the mill club. I think we heard 4 Country songs all night and that was after our friend had a conversation with the Manager. The manager said he had to keep everybody happy and I have no problem with a variety, but 4 Country songs in 3 hours? at a (Saloon)? We will never return! read more

I was excited to go to Cowboy Jack's. It looked like a fun western style night spot for this girl, and on a cold Minneapolis Saturday night, a few beers and a burger would really hit the spot. The experience, however, would quickly turn my excitement into despair. After finding a table, an attentive waitress was no where to be found. When the waitress finally appeared after 15 minutes, we ordered the standard burger and beer. The burgers were bland and dry. You expect a little bit of seasoning and flavor for the $9 price tag. The mediocre food could have been excused because the beer was cold, but what happened next was inexcusable. A small amount of snow was collecting on the edge of the patio on this cold fall night. The snow was of a dry icy consistency and a man passing by our table thought it would be humorous to sprinkle some of the snow over my head. I guess that is flirting at Cowboy Jack's. Well over the next few minutes, I returned the favor with a few softly lobbed snow balls in his direction. Just playful girly fun. Cowboy Jack's staff didn't see it that way. I was approached by a mean surly man who informed me that ladies having fun was not allowed at Cowboy Jack's and we would have to leave immediately. He bumped and blocked me and my friend as he pushed us out the back door. Ladies, if your looking for a fun night out, Cowboy Jack's is definitely not the place to go. If you do end up there, make sure you eat your dry burger and keep quiet; otherwise, you might find yourself being pushed out the back door. read more

Went to breakfast yesterday before the Vikings Game...absolutely the worst breakfast I have ever had...& paid for. The so-called omlets were basically scrambled eggs with a slice of cheap velveta cheeze melted on top...looked disgusting! The hashbrowns I doubt were even potatoes...they also were uneatable. The great thing is that the Screwdrivers were completely watered down...oh wait, that is bad as well. Never again will go there for any type of food. This place is totally packed for happy hour and weekend night outs. The electric bull is a fun attraction. The few times I have gotten food, I haven't been too impressed, but if you're here for a night out, you're bound to have a good time. read more

Paid a sizable VIP fee for the SB52 watch party and came away extremely disappointed; went in early to get a good seat and was asked to move (!), then security didn't know how the event was supposed to go so I was barred from heading to the special top floor set up until all the good viewing locations were taken (!!), and finally, the main reason I was going was to get a chance to meet one of my favorite Vikings players (Randy Moss), but after waiting 9 hours, when I asked staff when he might be coming, they said "he might come (!!!)...what? Talk about false advertising to get me to come to the party. Came here on a Sunday after Vikings game. Enjoyed cheap beers but left completely overwhelmed with how rude both female bartenders on rooftop were. I am in hospitality and could not believe how miserable and unprofessional the girls were. Besides eye rolling and short tone, one called my friend a bitch after asking twice for water and the other forgot our food and was not willing or able to get us a copy of our receipt to make sure we weren't charged twice.
