How is this company still active? Who gave them a contract? I manage a property in Nort OC and been in this business for over 5 years, I never had issues with my waste company. But here, they miss pick up dates, they don't take the bins if they are HALF way filled, they don't come on pick up request dates, when I call HC they always seem to let "dispatch know" but they never do anything about it. I thought my building was the only one- but looking at all these reviews, I am wondering how they are still in service. I am soooo understanding it hurts! Worst trash company I ever dealt with, we are forced to use them as there is no competition and they treat customers poorly. See my story for some examples. What happened: I contacted CR&R to arrange a pickup and get a yard waste bin. CR&R had two miscommunications with their staff and ended up (1) not doing the pickup and (2) dropped off two yard waste bins on two separate days instead of one on the day they scheduled. I have been on the phone with them for hours about this, it takes weeks to get them to do anything (4 weeks to schedule a pickup??), and they take no accountability for their mistakes. I am disabled and had to bring out and back in my large items to pick up because of their mistakes which took me a long time and was physically very difficult. They never apologized or express any sympathy. They claim their calls are recorded and they can refer to them later, it turns out they can't. If I could give them 0 star I would. read more

I am a disabled veteran, recently decided to clean out the garage and demo an old tool shed. Hired two guys at $20.00 per hour to help me. We stood around all day yesterday waiting for a dumpster exchange that never came. Here we are again today waiting around and still no dumpster. I am absolutely disgusted by their services recently and if I had a choice I would have chosen a different company. In the past few months and as recently as past two weeks they have missed my compost bin twice and even though I called (6 times) and asked them to pick up the can it has not happen yet!!!!!! First off, it's a 50/50 chance the greenwaste driver dumps all of our greenwaste. However, the last time I asked for the guy to return to get all our waste, he took the the can!! He actually drove off with our canister! So I called. The rep said there was a mistake by the driver and they would drop off a new one in a week - the following Thursday. Thursday came around - no greenwaste can. So I called. "Oh they got messed up on the delivery." So I elevated it to the CR&R Supervisor. He PROMISED me it would be here the next day - Friday - no problem. So I called TWICE on Friday to be sure it would arrive in time for our landscaper to fill it. This company is disgusting! A negligent driver wearing earphones didn't even stop his vehicle after something fell off his truck. I had to pay for the damages out of pocket when I had photo evidence. As you can tell from the photos this was not a rock that hit my windshield, this was definitely something large. This company is so unethical. They are the only ones that service the area. We're contracted to provide 4 - 3 yard dumpster trash service at a remote site. We had a broken locked top and asked for it to be replaced because we need 4 working bins. They delivered an additional 4 bins totaling 7 and didn't bill us for the additional service for 9 months. We receive a bill for 10K. Had we known they were delivered with the presentation of a timely invoice we would have instructed them to remove them. Now service has been discontinued. Show me the work order!! We didn't order an additional 4 bins. We've talked to no less than 5 customer service individuals and they've all provided different answers. Trash pickup is as expected, & driver is professional & polite (though a replacement driver ripped up my chain link fence when picking up my small dumpster, & didn't even bother to leave a note. it was Obvious the lift bar went into the fence, even though there was plenty of room between the dumpster & the fence. My call to complain fell on very polite false promise to repair, or reimburse for damages. I Had to stretch & repair myself to keep dogs from escaping). Now they're just More Expensive, especially since most other counties Include Trash, Recycling & Green Waste pickup with their property taxes. CR&R KNOWS we don't have other suitable options, & takes Full Advantage of San Bernardino Residents, and allows public officials to fleece property taxes into their pocket. Recycling from CR&R is a SHAM. Drivers Admit to forgetting where to pick up from. 7 months since residence were Forced to use recycling bins, they have only picked up 10 times, instead of 28 times (7 mos @ 1 a week). It took Numerous calls Every Month to complain recycling blown over & out in the desert, due to Never being picked up. Finally, 2 weeks in a row, after 7 mos. of complaining, & major increase in monthly service over 10 months ago. If I could give CR&R ZERO points, I would. CR&R promises four large pickup items a year. We arranged for one such pickup OVER 4 WEEKS AGAO. Despite our daily phones to CR&R and their daily lies to us, claiming "we'll be there tomorrow to pick up your items," they have failed to remove any of our items from the street. They have failed to pick up my trash on 2 occasions. Most recently was the 1 day delay for Memorial Day. I called Wed and Thurs b/c they kept forgetting. - All this while my neighbors are thinking, why I don't bring in my trash bin Finally got it resolved late Thursday night!!! Not sure how drivers forget to pick up trash, when we live on a cul-de-sac and they just picked up my neighbors trash. If I pay your bills on time, I would expect you to pick up my trash on time. A CR&R trash truck driver spilled trash from my trash container on my street and left it there. The next time he came to pick up my trash I complained. He cussed me out and flipped me off then said my mother was a horror that he had sex with. She died before he was born! He looked like he was either high on drugs or drunk. I felt he tried to entice me into a fight. I turned in the driver that services my address to CR&R headquarters to no avail and no apologies were given. At a much later date he used his truck to destroy my trash container which permanently damaged a wheel so badly that it could not be used on the container again. A gash two foot long opened up on the side. This made it unsafe and extremely difficult to use. He laughed at me when he saw the damage. What a piss poor attitude he had. He could have passed for a member of a motorcycle gang. Every week for the next six weeks I asked CR&R corporate office to replace the damaged container. Every week they promised to replace it but never did replace it. They always lied to me and played me for a fool. I got so disgusted that I drove 40 miles to exchange the container at their yard. As I was walking to the office a worker driving heavy equipment pulled in front of me and blocked me from going to the office. He gave me a nasty look that made chills run up and down my spine. He was big and weighed about 300 pounds and he could have hurt me pretty bad. When he turned his body to look the other way, it looked like he was wearing a semi-automatic pistol. All of the employees there looked like they were members of a motorcycle gang. Just then a supervisor came up to me and I was in a bad mood and I criticized his corporation for always lying to me and for the poor service they were continually giving me. He was in a bad mood too. Right away he threatened me and I was in fear for my life and I got out of there the first chance I got. Those CR&R employees scared the hell out of me. I am a frail 75-year-old elderly man with a bad heart. I contacted my local county supervisor and he did not reply. It looks like he is taking kickbacks from CR&R. So much for like seems like corrupt government officials being on the company payroll. Such a horrible heartless corporation to deal with. They treated me like dirt to earn my dollar. This company has now turned to thievery. I pay for trash service that is one pick up per week. When missed, which happens often I would get a full credit for 1 week being missed. Now after multiple missed pick ups they will only credit half of the missed week instead of the full amount. They say they are still collecting all of my trash, so that is why. It is wrong of them to assume this and I have to find another option to get my trash out for the missed week. I pay for 4 pick ups a month! CC&R needs to restructure their management team badly. Their BMP's are terrible, if they even have any. I feel horrible for the customer service reps that work for CC&R due to such poor leadership. We are having a bathroom remodeled and CR &R dropped off a dumpster early this morning, right in the middle of our driveway, blocking our cars in the garage. They didn't call first or knock on the door. Now we can't get our cars out. I called them and told them to move it, and I got a lot of excuses. They said I had to call our contractor, which I already had. They said Saturday wasn't a regular delivery day, that today was a special delivery. They said they NEVER contact the homeowner, and I told them that policy is irresponsible and needs to change. They were very resistant about moving it. The driveway is slanted to the street, the street then goes downhill (think The Matterhorn at Disneyland). He recognized the ONLY place to leave the dumpster was in the garage. His co-worker refused to take the dumpster out of the garage the next week. After going around in circles with "customer service" the dumpster was picked up by Raul in the garage, exactly where he delivered it. Since they have started, I get one-three text messages or 800 phone calls a day apologizing for their "Operational Issues" My cans rarely are picked up on their scheduled day and no timely consistency has been establish... It seems like the over promised the city and did not have the Operational Band width to support their promises.. what a mess.. while I'm at it let me also state, their Trucks are outdated, poor looking, stink to hi-heaven and lack the current bells and whistle components to do the job correctly. this is truly the worst waste service I've ever experienced in my life. I never had the types and magnitude of problem with other providers that I have with this one. Where do I begin? They often don't come on the schedule day. In my area trash day is Friday and you expect them to pick up the trash, recycling and green waste all on Friday. this almost never happens. They might pick up one thing but not the other two, or they pick it up the following Monday. They should just change trash day if Friday is so difficult for them. Even worse, they broke my trash bin and I have asked them several times for a replacement and they won't provide one. They also took my green waste bin for no reason and now I do not have a green waste bin. Their employees have no respect for their customers. They leave trash bins willy-nilly all over the street and in the middle of the driveway so that you have to stop your car, put on flashers and move bins out of the way before you can park in your driveway or continue going down the street. I've contacted customer service multiple times about these issues and on the phone they are pleasant enough, but this company is all talk and no walk. Nothing changes, nothing improves. I really hate this company and I wish Huntington Park would renew their contract with a different company or let people choose what service they want. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the absolute worst company. No one in this organization seems to care in improving. There is countless poor reviews. I have filed many complaints with managers and supervisors about poor service, more like no service. They are a bunch of hand ringers who could care less. You are put on a scheduled pick up day but your lucky if twice a month they come pick up your trash only to pick up several days after you call to complain. This company needs to be shut down. Trash pick up always leaves one can unemptied, EVERY SINGLE WEEK and has done this for the past two years. They either pick up trash and leave the recycle or pick up the recycle and leave the trash. CR&R has daily records of us calling (and all of the neighbors on my street as well), yet do nothing to take care of their lousy employee work and improve customer service. I live in a cul de sac in East Orange. CC&R's "green waste" driver has been skipping our cul de sac pick-up (3rd time in last 2 months). We call the office, but most times no one picks up. My townhome community now has CR&R since they took over from Waste Management. While we are supposed to have trash pickup twice a week, as I write this, it has been two weeks since the last pickup. Their customer service rep. continually lies to our managers about pending pickup. Since they took over from Waste Management, not once have they picked up twice in one week. This company is the absolute worst. I would say that management of this company should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt very much that shame is a feeling with which they are familiar.
