Two stars for having decent stuff but this is more oriented towards the design services. Folks, don't waste your time!! I started at CB2 with a budget of $20-$30k to completely refresh a lot of my apartment. I was told a specific date the "design specialist would get back to me but even a week beyond said date, no word. I submitted a Yelp review and was assured I'd be supported, coming from someone named Tyler with the title "Owner" from crate & barrel. I decide to give it a shot at Crate & Barrel and end up speaking with Tyler Cox, another "Sr. Design Specialist" (and maybe the Tyler that responded to my first review). We have a good chat. I explain my budget now that I've bought some things on my own, is down to about $10-$15k. He gives me his card and says to email him for scheduling so I do. Three days later after no response, I email again...then, completely out of the blue, I get a response from Julius from CB2 who says he was sick and provided me with some of his recs. Pretty basic overall, not impressed in the slightest and hilarious that he would think that I'm going to spend $6k on an area rug when the next most expensive item is the couch for $2k. Maybe just inspo but come on, throw down something reasonable so if I like it, I can just add it all. All around a terrible experience. The sad thing is, I'll probably still go there and just get what I want on my own because again, it's decent stuff and you can't beat 0% financing when your savings account is paying 4%! Just beware the design services and keep your expectations about as low as possible! read more

2 weeks ago on Friday, I was looking around with my daughter for drawer and mirror on the 2nd floor around 5:50 pm When a light brown/ ash blond hair Caucasian employee with military hair cut, about 5'8" tall, passed us smiling & saying " it's called a mirror ladies, just pick one!" and passes us laughing. Everyone else was nice inside the store ( the cashier and other representatives were very polite. But sadly there is always one rotten apple that spoils the whole barrel. He ruined our experience with his racist and insensitive remarks. If he thought that was humorous, he should be ashamed that he was the only one laughing!!!!! I have ordered a piece of furniture four months ago I have yet to receive. They also charged me in full from the very beginning. At the moment the estimate shipment time has doubled I am currently at 20 weeks waiting time when it was told it would be 8 weeks.Very unfair, rude and mean to be this inconsiderate with peoples money and time. read more

Worst service on the planet. Not only did I have to wait two months for my living room furniture to be delivered but when it was scheduled to be delivered it wasn't because the proper COI paperwork wasn't submitted. That was one of the main things I made sure to address to the person assisting with my order. My apartment complex requires COI for every furniture delivery. My order was then resheuled for a week after. I called this time to make sure the COI was submitted on time and they no longer had any of my furniture pieces and said I had to wait until late July. How in earth does this make any sense to practically wait half of year for my living room furniture to get delivered because they fucked up. My house has no furniture it's empty. What kind of customer service do they provide. Not only did I spend over 5k on my furniture but for them to give away/ disappear my order and have me wait another 3 months is bizarre. I paid for my furniture and it should get delivered when said at least held in possession until it's been delivered. I'm never shopping at crate & barrel and will let my fellow friends and family why I have no furniture for half a year. read more

Swung by here earlier this week to pick up an order that I purchased online. It's one of the few stores that carry the items that I want to buy online and "pick-up" in store. Some of the stores don't carry the items I want, but this store happened to have everything, especially the clearance/sale items. Parking is in the lot next to the store, and it can get filled up quickly because it's free for the first 2 hours. read more

Crate & Barrel has great online customer service and their texting feature is awesome. They were very responsive and came across as eager to help. Unfortunately, this is not the experience I felt when I went in stores to pick up an online purchase. Not sure if the guy who helped me was the manager, but throughout my checkout process he definitely seemed annoyed and rolled his eyes at one point after I asked him a question. I wasn't in the store very long - just enough time to pick up a Breville toaster oven on sale. This 5 star review is for one salesperson - Darrin managed to find the one in their ordered in their stock room on what was a super busy day. He said it was heavy and asked if I could bring my car around the back of the store. I already had a great parking space I wanted to keep, so he left the store, walked almost two blocks carrying the box and deposited it in my trunk. Give this man a raise, Crate & Barrel! read more

Do not buy from this business, period. Although they have beautiful pieces, their quality is just not there. We purchased multiple items for our home, and after receiving defective item after defective item, we're simply stuck with choosing between the "least" damaged piece. As a wedding gift registry place, the service couldn't be beat. To start off, I don't think I ever even stepped foot in to one of these stores until we registered here! The store is super clean and everything seems to be made up of some sort of glass. Because all the glass objects were stacked on top of each other, It was somewhat scary to walk through there! They do have some really nice items though, but for an apartment??? Well I 'hear' that it's a great place to register and so this is our first place on our list. Let me just tell you that this place was by FAR the BEST service I've had at a retail store. The registry process was easy. Scanning was easy. Everything is automated. Gifts came neatly packaged. Everything was electronically referenced. And returning was a BREEZE! We actually received a few items broken in the mail. We called. No questions asked, they sent another set! When returning, we just brought our car full of boxes to their truck loading in the back. A nice dude comes out to greet us and helps us load all the boxes onto his dolly. We go inside and give them the packing slips and return receipts and everything is taken care of. Fast, quick, simple, AND ELECTRONIC. Again, everything is electronic and updated instantaneously in their system, so its really easy. They sent a check and less than a week later, the money is in our account. Great service! read more

We spent almost $20K and about every piece has been a disappointment . The sale person has no patience and is short in conversations. They promised a delivery date then item is not stock. The store itself is well stocked and well maintained. It's large and has most things you'd want and need and located right next to the parking lot which is convenient. That said, customer service was terrible. I had come in to exchange some things I had received from my registry that had arrived with some blemishes and also to pick up items that were purchased online. I stood at the registry of a nearly empty store for five minutes as the employees chatted about their weekend while occasionally glancing over at me. Finally got one lady's attention who looked into my exchanges and she said that the blemished items are not really blemishes and that all wooden items came with scratches and scuff marks. I had received 12 set and only 3 items had blemishes while others were perfect, but she acted like I was inconveniencing her by asking her to exchange them. While she went back to check on my items, the employees at the register kept chatting on and on about their weekend and summer clothes they liked even when I tried to get their attention for a question on an item at the store that caught my eye. Not even at Celine do I get ignored like Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman. WOW. Needless to say, this particular store will not get my business. I am so frustrated, I ordered a bedroom set in early February and the sales associate said it would come in 3 weeks and it's now been 3 months and they still won't guarantee me when it's coming. I paid close to $4k and I would hope that there would be a little bit more reliability and accountability with a big company like crate and barrel. In February, they said it would be ready in March, in March they said it would be ready in April, in April they said it would be ready in May and then in late April they said it would be delivered may 7 and now I called and it's pushed back a week to the week of May 10. When can I get my bed?!?!?! I've been waited this long so I guess I can still it out another few weeks but I wish I could get some sort of compensation or that someone can just tell me the truth. They waved delivery but I don't think that's enough for being lied to 4 times and late by 3 months. I ordered a bed in March and was told I would have an August or September delivery. A 5 to 6-month wait is a long time for a bed, however, I decided to go with it anyway. I just checked the status of my order and it is now giving me a November delivery. I believe an 8 months wait is ridiculous. Based on what I have read from other reviews, I won't be surprised if it is delayed again. In my opinion, they shouldn't take furniture orders for merchandise that can't be delivered in a reasonable amount of time. This store is in the heart of Beverly Hills. I've been here a few times and all the times, the staff have been really nice and extremely helpful. So helpful that even a few minutes after closing, they were willing to help me finish up without rush. This store is kept impeccably and they always have a great selection. This is one of my favorite stores to visit in BH. Parking is easy and close by. I am not sure about all the negative reviews. I just don't have that kind of experience when I go there to shop. This location has the worst customer service that I ever experienced at crate and barrel. I just went in there for my online pick up. The old lady at the online pick up station and the lady at the cashier were very rude. I almost thought they have racism against Asian. There was another customer who is not Asian at the pick up location, the old lady was very friendly to the other customer. However, even though I got there first she told me she wanted to help the other customer first because I was looking for my order number which took only 1 min. She only explained how long it will take to the other customer. Her attitude was very rude too everytime I asked her something. Also the cashier at the counter didn't even say hi or avoiding conversation when she was nicely chatting with previous customer. Only person who was nice to me was the young lady who handed me my order. Never going back to this location. read more

Crate & Barrel's 15% off postcard (sale ends at 6:00PM today), as well as, the city of Beverly Hills' mailer encouraging residents to shop local confirmed I was taking a stroll to find replacement stemware for my neighbor. For those of you not within walking distance, or if I had intended to make a larger, heavier purchase, there's two-hours-free, underground, public parking in the lot north of the store with stairs and elevators to deposit you directly at Crate & Barrel's street level entrance. My kinda place where a modest investment can turn a room around, spruce up the bath or add a timesaving kitchen gadget. I allowed myself 3-minutes to browse before conquering my task's criteria. Four red wine glasses and spend under $20. OK, I can do that. I did do that. Plenty of pleasant staff made checkout a breeze. They'll either print or email your receipt, very green! How could my neighbor not like such classy glasses scored under budget? She didn't. So, back to Crate & Barrel this morning where the return was handled as graciously as the sale. I try to avoid ever stepping foot into Crate & Barrel. It is a dangerous place, full of temptation, where one's sense of time becomes blurry, and frugality seems but a silly and irrelevant concept. I always leave this store with less money in my bank account, never fails. This Crate & Barrel is right in the heart of Beverly Hills. It is a gorgeous store, two floors high, with all the goods to excite anyone who is passionate about home decor and entertaining. I love the selection, simplicity of design and fair pricing of their products. I appreciate that this location has an abundance of staff members who are knowledgeable about their products and multiple cash registers. Even at the busiest times during the holiday rush, I never had to wait in a long line to check out. I organized my wedding registry at this location awhile ago and it was seamless. The process was simple and efficient with an app that you download on your phone. I did quite a bit of gift shopping at Crate & Barrel this holiday season, and I appreciate that they have a wide range of price points to satisfy any gift exchange. They also wrap presents beautifully at no extra charge. Tip: 2hrs free validated parking in the structure! read more

Zero stars if I could. Let me elaborate. I ordered something off my gal pal's wedding registry for Bridal Shower, and low and behold I pay for the item for back door pick up. Everything is smooth and dandy and I think great I ordered her gifts and a few hours later, I get an email saying that one part of my gift has been back ordered and I will have to pick up that portion of her gift later. Now this is the frustrating part. I'm waiting here for weeks wait for an email notification regarding her pedestal. So the week of her shower I call the store to see if my item is ready. AND THEY TELL ME THEY DON'T HAVE THE ITEM ANY MORE! Like wtf. Maybe you should call the people that have paid for your fking invisible non existent item, so they can get a refund! So I just wasted 1 hour of my life (being put on hold, being hung up on, etc) working through crap that the C&B Customer Service team should have handled on the spot (for example calling the customer as soon as they find out the item has been discontinued). Instead, I gave Crate and Barrel a mini loan for a non existent item. Can you believe that crap? This review is overdue, but I had the best customer service experience from this location over the phone. In August 2013, I'd been looking for the ultimate wicker picnic basket and everything I'd found online either came with a dining set and was too expensive or didn't appear sturdy enough. I finally found one online at Crate and Barrel. The Ventana picnic basket was perfect, and on sale for $30! But sold out. I called around but had no luck finding it. When I called the Beverly Hills location, one of the sales associates, Marc Anthony Lee, helped me track down the basket to a Crate and Barrel out-of-state that had one left and placed an order for me to be shipped to my home free-of-charge. I was ecstatic. I've now had this basket for over a year, used it plenty of times, and it's still in great shape. It's been awhile, but I wanted to praise the excellent customer service from the staff. If Marc Anthony is still working here, I highly recommend asking for him to help you with anything in-store or over the phone. read more

This Crate & Barrel far exceeded my expectations!! I mean...I've been to the one at the Grove a multitude of times and yeah, it's pretty cool, but you have to contend with the Disney-esq crowd and that darn trolley just to get in the door! This location is EASY to get to...the parking garage door pops you out smack dab in between the C & B and the Z Gallerie...can't beat that! And it's free...FREE...for the first hour before 6pm. Two floors like the Grove...kitchen stuff and pillows and the like are downstairs while the upper floor offers up little room set-ups to show you the furniture and bedding all put together in a nice package. Funny how I went in to buy some plates and I came out with a bottle of SAND...yes, dirt...and some candles. lol It's one of those places you'll buy shit at just because you can and you think it will look cool in your pad. (I put the sand in a glass hurricane and put the candle on top!!...Swanky). Also...great place for a wedding registry. read more

I love living in Amsterdam, but I am not going to lie that I miss the hell out of shopping in LA. There is no place in the world that can compete with shopping in LA when it comes to home decor.
