Pretty solid little Mexican place. The carne asada and chicken was very flavorful. The rice and beans were good, beans were definitely homemade, wouldn't be surprised if they were cooked with lard. This place is really cute and makes you feel like you are on vacation, not in bishop! The food was pretty good but overpriced and I probably won't be back. I ordered several additions to my tacos (paid for them) and they were all missing even though they were written on the order sheet. They also completely left out a dish that we'd ordered. We got our food to go so we didn't notice the mistakes until we got home. We were the only ones there so I'm not sure why all of these mistakes were made. I'm more likely to go to a food truck than to come back here. If you do go, I recommend the esquites and refried beans. Their green salsa is also really good. read more

Stopped in here for lunch on our way to Lake Tahoe. Bought some of their pork with red chili and jalapeno and cheese tamales to take with us. The pork tamales were tasty but could have had a bit more meat. The jalapeno and cheese were some of the best I've ever tasted. The masa they use is delicious, very soft and fluffy. This place was so cute and unexpected! The menu is simple the food is great quality! We had the asada burrito and the pork adobada burrito both were great! The salsas are fresh and homemade! Red is spicy in a good way! My kids had the regular elote and mangonada and watermelon drinks both loved them! They have asked to go back on our way back from mammoth. Such a cute hidden GEM in Bishop. My family & I came to charge our Tesla across the street ,when we noticed people eating outside. The whole time I thought it was just a Mexican market but nope they had a mini bar & you were able to order Mexican food. Great staff & the food was so DELICIOUS. I definitely made a great decision when ordering food for a party of 30 people. Food was prepared on time, the corn with cream and cheese was so delicious that everyone was having 2nds and 3rds. My only itty bitty complaint is that there is nowhere inside to sit. And it was a hot day. But I'm confident with it being a new joint they will eventually add some indoor seating. Very cute and ambient space. The inside is a small mercardo with food options to order as well at the register. The 2 girls working were very kind and helpful with any questions we had regarding the food. The food itself was also good and if I had to guess one of the best mexican options around. Overall my experience here was much better than expected and that's even taking into account we read other reviews beforehand. If I were to pass through the area on another trip I would definitely stop here again. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a solid mexican bite to eat. read more

This is some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life. I got a hot Cheeto elote and tacos and my husband got a burrito. This place is hands down good!! Coming from Los Angeles we noticed this spot by its eye peeling building . I got the tacos with their signature soda refresher and my wife loved their concha bread with ice cream in the middle! Aside from their delicious food they have great snacks that we were able to take on our trip back home. The environment is great and the people that work there are super nice and humble . We spotted this hip little Mexican market while driving around Bishop. It's just a block off the main drag. When we were looking for place to eat dinner we were so happy to see the near perfect reviews and that it was right across from the Tesla charging station. We both had the vegan trio of tacos and they were so tasty! Hope they add more veggie/vegan options. The market had nice selection of fruits and veggies and other Mexican staples. This was a fun discovery on our way through Bishop! I had the Plant Based tacos, the verde and the "carnitas" made from jackfruit. They were so good!! The flavors are amazing! I especially loved the green salsa! My girlfriend had the Asada Bowl, and she loved it! She is very particular about her Mexican food, and she couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. We even took home the salsa verde and the hot salsa. I highly recommend a stop if you're in Bishop!! read more
