This is a fun place to get a unique cake gift. They sell large and small cakes, with frosting and a bit of decor, or major decorations that are bigger than the cake. They can do just about anything you can imagine. I've been drawn into this shop a few times, while shopping for gifts, or after going to Veggie Grill or Trader Joe's next door. They usually have free samples available and they are confident in the taste of the product. Although I'm not big on eating cake very often, they do have some nice moist, tasty cakes! The prices can be a little steep, but you are paying for both the product and presentation. If you buy one of these cakes as a gift, it will probably go over well, as they are memorable bundles of fun! (Also, the employees are really nice and want to help you find just the right cake and decor for your occasion, or just your hunger if that's all you're there for!) read more

We've gotten several cakes over the past year and a half! They're absolutely delicious and so beautiful! We got a positive Covid test the day we were supposed to pick up a cake. I am SO impressed with their vegan/gluten free cakes!!!!! My mom is on a special gluten free, dairy free diet due to her diabetes so I was in search for a diet friendly cake for her birthday. the BEST bundt cakes my taste buds have ever had!!! we got two mini cakes during covid-19 sheltering. we called in our order, + they promptly had it ready for us within the hour. we handled our transaction over the phone which made it easy for pick up, all we had to do was call in + tell them where we parked + they come out with a bag of yummy cakes! they also dressed up one of the cakes beautifully for a birthday. we got the banana butterscotch (UH-MAZE-ing) + the carrot cake; both were devine! they offer gluten-free options as well. definitely our new go-to for celebratory cakes + sweet tooth fix! read more

We ordered two things. Chocolate chip ice cream sandwich and the carrot cake for 1. Total was a little more than $15. The ice cream sandwich is big enough to share. I let the cake sit on the counter to come up to room temperature. It was very good. Nice and moist. The frosting was a little sweet for my taste but still very good. I probably would like about 40% less on my cake. I would come back and try another cake. read more

The cake look so delicious but was hard as a rock. I even warmed it up a little bit. It was still hard. The best part of it was the Icing. Then Long Beach has too many fees. So paying $15 for 2 single servings was too much. I will definitely stick to Nothing Bundt Cakes. read more

I have followed this business for almost 30 years. I discovered then when a friend sent me a cane after breaking my ankle. I have mailed them, had them delivered and picked up more than I can count. I do not like this place especially when placing an order online for grubhub. This place is overly priced, plus they charge 3 extra dollars for a sign? The cream on the cake wasnt good. And the cake itself was too dry and tasteless and waay too bland. I would definitely not recommend place to anyone. Sorry, but this place is way too overpricey for their cakes. Definitely a go to spot for quick, easy and flavorful cakes to have for any celebration. Our favorites are the French vanilla and personally anything lemon! Love that they offer slices so you don't over indulge. They also have super cute party favors & cake decorations, although on the pricey side (for me) so I typically window shop and will spend on the desserts instead. read more

This place was GREAT! I had company in town from NY and they all have a gluten condition. I saw that this place was the only specialty gluten/vegan cake shop that's open on Mondays. So I came here after work (3pm) and showed up. I see the worker putting things away and I explained how I'm sorry I showed up late, I had no idea they closed early on Mondays 3pm. She did not hesitate to help me out especially that it was the only gluten vegan shop open that day. I was really appreciative of her. I never got her name so I can mention her in this review but I just want to say Thank you. You made my family from NY feel really special. They loved the chocolate cake and carrot cake. read more

So we got a Birthday cake for my beautiful mother. The cake alone was beautiful and it tasted good. I'm going to say good and not great. The cake comes frozen and you're supposed to thaw it. That's pretty normal except time given us didn't seem to thaw the cake out pretty well. Also this cake was really small for $48. I wanted to order from Nothing Bundt Cakes but we opted for this one. Like I said it was good but not as good as I thought it could have been. The next day it's a little crumbly. Overall I give this place a 4 mostly because the decorations were so nice. Came in here yesterday for my first time to pick up a vegan & gluten free carrot cake bundt cake for my co-worker. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly face and a smile. Inside is decorated so cute! They have party supplies for you to purchase which makes it super convenient if you're picking something up last minute. You can place orders ahead of time or just stop by! They have a BIG selection of bunts cakes, brownies, cookies, and ice cream sandwiches that you can pick up on the go. The store looked super clean and everything looked fresh! Although I didn't try the bundt cake my co-worker said it was delicious, fresh, and moist! I have purchased many a bundt cake at Creativity Cakery since the beginning when they were located on Redondo ave. I ordered ahead for pick up in the afternoon. It took for ever to be waited in as it appeared that possibly they had only one clerk working. As it turned out there were three clerks inside. I had to repeat my name 3 times and I also even told them what my order was. I was addressed with abruptness and rudeness. So I did not tip and was not even told thank you. I'm re- thinking where I will get my bundt cakes from here on. read more

First and foremost, the cakes are delicious. That's the most important thing about a bakery. I've tried the red velvet, chocolate, lemon, and carrot, and all were killer! The cakes look great and make for a great party favor. There was one time where they forgot the ribbon on a birthday cake. Unbelievable. Do places like this still exist? Can there still be a business that cares about the customers satisfaction and has an incredible product as well? They do. I've seen it, I've been here and I am inspired. So let's get to the core of the business. I've been here a few times to grab a quick treat after a family outing to one of our favorite eateries that is very close (Wahoos). Always been very happy with the self service case (need to be an adult) that has some amazing little individual serving size portions of their goods. Have had the mini-bundt cakes on more than one occasion and their lemon bars which is a must with a toddler that loves the sour. Never been disappointed and found the cakes to always be moist and flavorful. I've had the lemon, red velvet and chocolate and have never been disappointed. The most impressive thing, customer service is impeccable here seems like it is family owned and the wonderful lady here seems to very much care about the customers. Will surely be back. read more

Creative Cakery is one of those places that makes such cute desserts that you almost have to assume that the flavor is going to suck. BUT, I have some good news for you...Creative Cakery's cakes and other little other delectables taste as good as they are cutesy and pretty! This is one teeny tiny little store located by Trader Joes off PCH and 2nd Street. Seriously, with about 3 customers in here this place feel jam packed and crowded. Everyone who works here is so friendly though, and this makes up for the fact that you can feel like a packed-in sardine here during their peak hours. I have used Creative Cakery for a few things over the years, from Prom back in high school, to various birthdays, the unique and gorgeous design always makes a statement at a gathering. I'm not usually a cake person, but the bunt cakes from here are dense and flavorful. When I've ordered cakes for a birthday, I think I've always always gotten chocolate (because I'm a repeat offending chocoholic!) and that is one chocolatey and good bunt. We have also used Creative Cakery for a bite-sized treats party for a party, and they were a huge hit. We picked an assortment of goodies, and as usual, they made brownie-bite things taste good and look adorable. The friendly staff will work with you to try to create the theme that you're looking for. If you want to make an impact with great presentation and wonderful flavor, then I suggestion Creative Cakery for a party when you're required to bring the dessert or if you're hosting a party. And it sure doesn't hurt to leave the shop with a brownie to take home after you've placed your order. Watch out for the refrigerator with the revolving dessert tray...it's deadly because it's packed with delicious bites! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Juliet and Haydee S.

When a serendipitous moment arose and presented Juliet Marshall and Haydee Sentianin with an opportunity to carry on the Creative Cakery tradition, they jumped on it. The vision was clear. They would become the new heritage keepers of Creative Cakery, creating the amazing celebratory cakes just as they remembered having as children themselves so that new generations of families could create similar memories. What I was disappointed with is that you would allow me to select the coffee cake I wanted even though I should be able to choose if I am paying for it. I was told that the coffee cake has to stay balanced and I couldn't pick the slice from the bottom. And you put both items in the same container. The brownie was not good it tasted very dry it didn't taste fresh at all. For being a first time customer. I didn't have the best experience in returning.

While I appreciate that the misunderstanding may have been caused by Yelp, the customer service (when in the restaurant) could have been more respectful and not dismissive/judging. The yelp page says they have gluten free options but that isn't the case. They had no gluten free options and the employee working acted as though the question of gluten free options was ridiculous. We pointed out that the yelp page says they have gluten free and asked if that's charged, but they rudely responded and said they don't pay attention to yelp. Maybe they should pay attention.

I got the tres leches latte & i got my boyfriend the horchata latte (both $5.50). The tres leches latte definitely tastes like what you think it would, it was good but I would add cinnamon powder to enhance the flavor a bit more. The Horchata Latte was delicious! I definitely prefer the flavor of the Horchata a bit more but both are delicious. Either way, you HAVE to try Saints and Sinners.
