I was in Cross Grain on 8/11/2019 around 6 or 7pm in Boise. My group consisted of nurses mostly. The host of my group has been coming to this place for 3 years and bragged about it. Staff was really negative. They were out of certain beers. They did not want split checks. They were saying they could only serve so many drinks at a time. We were told they didn't have the staff to take care of us. This all happened in about 5 minutes of them coming to our table. I got up and left before they got to me. They were so rude and unhelpful to a group of nurse's!!! We spend all our days caring for others, HOW DARE YOU!!! I know the best way to hurt a business is not to give them your money, so that's what I did. The manager with long blonde hair up in a pony tail and the cook made sure they told us they were coming out to help the waitress. Sorry fellas, not really unsung heroes when you come out and badger your guests who are NURSES!! Next time be more humble and just help. Not sure other than making my group feel bad that you made any difference by stating what your job in a restaurant is. The good was great my beer was good, my server was ok, but the other girl working, Not so much, she stood there on her phone giving me dirty looks the entire time while playing on her phone and flirting with the guys... I'm all for using you phone, in the back, where it should be, not planting you butt on a counter while your buried in your phone. read more

There's a good reason why Perry the bartender or Aly the waitress can't get a job anywhere but an airport restaurant. Their personalities are bitter and angry and customer service skills are non-existent. Perry showed his true colors when he shook his head in disgust at my sister pushing our mother in her wheelchair up to a table, and then continued to give us dirty looks throughout our meal. All because we entered as soon as the doors opened. Really?? Aly doesn't greet, smile, offer cream or sugar for coffee or refills, not does she say thank you when paying and departing. Management needs to take a look at who they employ here. Seems we aren't the only ones to have poor customer service here. read more

Before boarding our flight, my husband had the best club sandwich he's ever eaten here at the Boise Airport. Everything was fresh and the toasted sourdough bread was exceptional. It had a large chicken breast and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The flavor of the light sauce on the sandwich was just great. The fries were freshly made and really delicious. I was waiting for my flight in May 9th and decided to stop by and have a drink. As I was looking out the window I over heard a blonde girl either yelling at a co-worker or talking loud to them with a rude tone. I was hesitant about asking her for anything. Not sure if that's normal for Cross Grain employees to interact with each other but that's not normal in my office. read more

Cross Grain Brewhouse is amazing! A peaceful place to spend time before a flight! We had a two hour layover and Norma, our waitress, was so helpful and friendly! Well after 9:00am we were patiently standing at the entrance awaiting acknowledgement, although we were clearly visually acknowledged, the employee seem determined to place bottles of water on each & every table. Waitress was picking her teeth with more than one fake nail while asking what we wanted. When asked to provide details on the beer selection, she begrudgingly listed one beer... After touching our IDs with the same fingers she had been digging around her mouth with, we decided not to order and left. Stopped while trying to catch a flight on a sunday morning. Had to leave without our food, as did others in line, because the service was SOOOOO slow. Girl at counter unable to multitask, didn't have the correct ingredients for our sandwiches, and apparently doesn't know how to use the espresso machine. Don't know the waitresses name because I literally sat here for ocer 30 minutes and NEVER ONCE was asked if I wanted anything. It wasn't busy, I was just ignored.
