For years, I thought this place was just a convenience store -- so I was pleasantly surprised to stop by and discover it's actually a coffee shop (and so much more). I dropped in on a Friday morning, and the shop was buzzing with local regulars. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and the vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. The staff greeted me warmly. I ordered a large latte and asked for a "samich" recommendation. They suggested The Jacob. The sandwich was delicious -- I'd absolutely order it again. It comes with bacon, eggs, cheese, and avocado on a jalapeño bagel. Yum! The latte was okay, but next time I'd probably go with a regular drip coffee or an Americano. That said, my meal was on the pricey side -- $20 for the sandwich and latte, and with tip it came out to around $25.

This place has been around for a long time. It is a great spot to grab a coffee and bite to eat and then go for a walk on the bay. I have been here many times for coffee. Today I got the cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter, bananas, and honey. I sat out front in the sunshine. They have a side patio and some seating indoors. They have a small parking lot, but it was also easy this time of year to find street parking.

The beverages, food, and service are consistently great at Crown Point Coffee. There are a few tables inside, and plenty of seating outside. You can even get a special treat for your pup!

I don't know how I have never left a review for this little gem! My family and I have been coming here for years and with the recent expansion, it is even better than before. The breakfast sandwiches and the açai bowls are a true standout. Their ice cream is the best I've ever had. The line is sometimes long, but it moves quickly and it is worth the wait. Everyone is helpful and friendly. The outdoor patio is a pleasure you definitely will enjoy this local spot.

We ordered the Milky Way and Brown Sugar Cinnamon lattes, the Brown Sugar was a little too sweet but the Milky Way was okay. The best part was the breakfast sandwiches, the Jacob was our favorite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cafe has some seating and a cute book area, we loved the poems they had displayed. The line got busy but we didn't wait too long.

I've never been in this area of "Pacific Beach" before. Crown Point Coffee is located across the bridge that is positioned over Fisherman's Channel. It's located across from a Market & Liquor Store. Crown Point Coffee has a small lot, but plenty of parking in the residential areas with no parking limitations. They have a small interior seating with bright color choices (hot pink, sunshine yellow, ocean blue) and a busy decorated interior (things hanging on the ceiling, against the wall, etc). There is also some outdoor seating on the right side of the cafe with umbrellas. It looks nice, visually, but there are too many flies hanging around the space...due to their compost green bin and their recycle/dumpster also being located there. The flies were resentless and a total annoyance to anyone standing or sitting at those tables. They should def try some remedies or something to reduce the amount of flies in this space! It's no wonder why that seating was empty. Onto the menu! They have coffee, teas, fruit bowls, protein smoothies, ice cream, sandwiches for breakfast & lunch, bagels, parfaits, and more. At first glance, I believed that their coffee items were priced too high. But upon futher look, they have two sizes: 16 oz and 20/24 oz. I usually get 12 oz at other places so the pricing usually is around $5.25-$6.75 at most. And then typically a 16 oz would cost about $7.25- $7.75. But usually the drinks that are priced at $7.75 are specialty/seasonal special items with housemade syrups. And from what I saw, most of Crown Point Coffee prices are around $7.75 for their 16 oz and then $8.75 for their larger size (20/24oz). I don't believe they make their syrups in house, if I remeber correctly they use Monin syrups. It's pretty nice that their larger cups cost under $9, at least for coffees. Anyways, for a review about the coffee. My friend ordered an Iced Honey Latte (espresso, honey, cinnamon, and almond milk [I am unsure if they made any changes with the milk- but the menu defaulted to almond milk for this particular latte]) and said it was deliciously balanced! The honey wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and they enjoyed it. Anyways, I didn't get an iced latte like usual-- surprisingly. I went with their 16 oz, $9.95 (but since I paid with CASH it was $9.57), Mocha Java Smoothie: this has banana, coconut milk, chocolate, espresso, and protein. I actually wanted to ask the woman working if I could have it without the protein, but the distance between me and her was very large, so it was diffucult to convey this as she already prepped the cup and everything in the back. I am unsure why they made the distance so far away but it made me feel very... detached as I attempted to order. I think the drink was OK, I noticed it was on the thinner side (of a smoothie, but still had a "thick" texture when you attempt to suck it up - due to the protein powder). I am unsure what kind it is, but I don't think I liked the taste of it in the smoothie. They give you thin straws, I think they'd benefit with slightly larger straws to make it less difficult to drink smoothies. On their cupsleeves, I saw that if you bring it back to reuse for your next visit, you could get 10 cents off your next coffee or specialty coffee beverage purchase. That's quite a unique thing that I don't think other coffee places have implimented! Onward to speak about their lunch item, my friend ordered the $17.50 Totally Tuna Sammich on a Croissant (+50 cents). The croissant looked a bit dried out and the pastry itself was a little disapointing. But the interior of the sammich was very fresh and vibrant, flavor of the tuna was good. It was a fulfilling lunch! It was packed full of spinach, avocado, tomato, cucumbers.... I think for this price, adding the option of chips would be a lovely lunch special! Anyways, this is a very noticably health forward cafe as they focus on providing people with fresh vegetables, diverse fruit options, alternative milk options, gluten free options, collagen powder/protein whey/vegan protein powder, etc. And their menu is quite large so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Also, if you pay with cash you get a discount where it reduces your payment by ~ 38 cents. I'd recommend the spot to many people that come to this area, but I hope that management does something about the flies situation!

Most people will think why do I give most of my reviews a 5 star? Because I thoroughly investigate a place and look at the establishments food pics before I go. I'm a foodie person!! Most times I'm accurate!! It's a cute small hole in the wall location that we ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffees!! It was delicious!!!I had a breakfast wrap with egg, sausage, jalapeño, bacon, cheese and a cream cheese spread!! Excellent!!! The other order was a jalapeño cheese bagel with egg, bacon, cucumber yogurt sauce!! Excellent! We also had another order of a bacon, egg and cheese on English muffin! And 2 Mexicali coffees!!! Great service and you can eat outside! We all loved it!

$9.75 before tip for a small banana smoothie that wasn't even that good

I work over in the area so decided to come by. I know they had banana smoothies on the menu but it was like banana peanut butter and chocolate or banana strawberry. So I asked the lady working at the counter if I could just do banana and she said yes. So that was great. I ordered a small. So then I pay at the counter and she was like we don't have banana smoothie on the menu so I just put in something else. I'm thinking why didn't she just put in the banana strawberry smoothie but just do no strawberries and double banana. Well apparently she put in a large smoothie as I was charged $9.75 for a small banana smoothie. And yet I paid even more as I included a tip. To me that is ridiculous for a banana smoothie. I will not be back because when I was overcharged to begin with and two it's already expensive. And it wasn't even that great to be honest. There is only outside seating. It's a few picnic tables. And they do have parking.

What a cute local spot in Crown Point to grab some coffee and tasty eats. I was a little hesitant to order a specialty coffee, because they sometimes end up tasting like milkshakes and the coffee flavor gets lost. This was definitely not the case, I ordered the 100 Grand (espresso, caramel) and my husband had the Brown Sugar Cinnamon latte and both were so well balanced, you could taste all of the mentioned flavors along with the high quality espresso. I loved the variety of the food menu too, they have a large menu of sweet and savory options. We tried the Ingraham St. Sandwich on an everything bagel and the large acai bowl with almond butter. The sandwich had a delicious scrambled egg and the bagel was yummy. The acai bowl was stacked full of fresh fruit and granola, one of the better ones we've had in a while.

Food - 4.5 service - 5 Got a Milky Way iced coffee and a levain sourdough breakfast sandwich (didn't take a picture) with egg and sausage. The coffee was a 4 - I wish it were creamier but I asked for 2% so maybe it was my fault. Asked them to add whipped cream to sweeten and thicken it and it helped. The sandwich was delicious. I love Soroush and the bread had a lot of the flavor and was soft and chewy at the same time. The egg and sausage was a generous portion. Wish I took a picture. There was a line but the wait for all was not too bad at all. They have a good selection of breakfast, salad, ice cream, doughnuts and drinks. Parking is tight but it's like this everywhere in San Diego. Cute spot.

It's a cute little coffee shop down near the beach. Came here for the crème Brûlée, but they only have certain flavors on certain days so unfortunately I didn't get to try that particular flavor. The sweet girl helping was kind to answer my questions I had on coffees. I ended up getting a cinnamon latte espresso iced. I have yet to taste it , but they give you options for full , mild , or no sweetness. Which is aweosme !!! I also picked up a banana , chocolate bread. No nuts! For my trip back on the road and I'm excited to eat it with my hot coffee later !!! There's seating outdoors , not inside. I can imagine parking can be horrid as there's sight saying when they get long lines. (Only means it's a good spot !! As I'm writing my review waiting on my drink and first impressions .... drum roll FIRST SIP... SOOOOOO SMACKIN GOOD!!! I am sad I'd leave San Diego and not find a drink close to it ' it's sooo good. I am trying to think if I can handle a second cup bc I want to go back before they close. 5 plus stars !!!

Not only does Crown Point Coffee have really good coffee they have really fresh savory and sweet eats. If your in the mood for an ON POINT breakfast sandwich Crown Point is the JOINT! If you have a busy toddler or 2 and want to meet up with a gal pals to catch up while getting your coffee buzz on, there is a little kids corner to buy you some quality time. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of room to park on the street just West of the shop. read more

Stumbled upon this place for breakfast while visiting San Diego. I was so excited to see that they have vegetarian protein options in their smoothies and food! I wasn't expecting to eat all that healthy while on vacation but this place allowed me to not just eat healthy but to eat delicious food as well. I got a breakfast bowl with egg whites, veggie "sausage", spinach, and their sauce on top. It was delicious! My daughter and I shared a smoothie that had veggie protein powder in it as well and even she loved the drink. My kids were happy that they could get bagels and my meat-eating family members could still get bacon and regular sausage too. So it was a win-win for all of us! It is a little pricey but I kind of expected that because it's San Diego. It did take a little while to get our food, but that was okay because they have a little kids area so my two girls were entertained while the hubby and I talked. They did add gratuity simply because our order was over $30 which I found a little odd-not sure if that's just their way of getting more money from non-locals or a San Diego thing or what, but didn't really expect that and thought it made them appear a bit snooty. I mean, it's not a sit down restaurant, you literally order in a hut and then sit outside and wait for your order. The food is pricey so if there's more than 2 people ordering food your order will easily be over $30...my breakfast alone, a breakfast bowl ($9) and smoothie ($7) was $16 fyi. So yeah... I would say it's great food, but the cons are that it's pricey! read more

A hidden gem on Ingraham street, you gotta really want to be looking for it to find it. Its an amazing little spot and the employees get you what you need, FAST! There is usually a line in the prime time of morning but need not be bothered by it, they do it right to get you through. Parking can be tight so I would park on the street if I were you. If you want to have the best hangover food, go for one of their pitaya or acai bowls, they blend them right then and there and put some awesome fruits in it. My go to choice is the Breakfast bowl with Veggie sausage (just like the real thing trust me) you can also get an option of turkey instead but its not sausage. The cool contrast of the tomato, onion and avocado balances out the hot egg white you get. The sauce is to die for! The amazing Breakfast sandwich is also great as well which comes on a buttery croissant with jalepeno! Who could say no to a bacon breakfast sandwich. The coffee is superb and I go with the white mocha and its one of the best you can get, my buddy always gets the hammerhead and he loves it! Try to find this gem and enjoy, great hangover solution here! Yum! read more

My first years living in SoCal were spent driving from LA and visiting New England friends in San Diego, specifically Pacific Beach. Here, there were a few great cafes in the neighborhood to get your morning started. None of those compare to Crown Point Coffee. Between the delicious smoothie options, breakfast sandwiches, coffee ... and outdoor seating, and sweet, friendly staff. I can see why this place is always a solid go to for the Crown Point community. read more

Extremely friendly group of people working there. I have tried almost all the teas and several coffees. All are outstanding. The Iced Tea Sunrise is my personal favorite. Glad to see they are successful enough to expand into the neighboring empty spaces next to them. Highly recommend this fun little business. read more

A solid spot in crown point. Small on the inside, but a decent amount of room on the outside. Great drinks beyond the norm, eats and non-dairy milk. Small parking lot with plenty of street parking. Dog friendly, speedy, and super nice staff. If I lived closer I'd go more! read more

To respond to the owner, I didn't say anything because I got it to go. I didn't know it was gross until I got home. Don't appreciate the implication by the way. In general the way you guys prepare eggs is pretty bad for a restaurant. My girlfriend got an "egg" on her avocado toast and it was the same thing as the sandwich. A soft, round ball of mush. Clearly packaged egg whites out of a bag (not the fresh eggs), cooked in a microwave or oven (reminiscent of a McMuffin) instead of on a skillet. Also what kind of shop sells breakfast sandwiches and doesn't have Kaiser rolls? read more

This a cool little coffee shop with a quaint little outside patio. That being said I had them make me a medium Americano for $2.50. I actually happen upon this place because the place next door did not have any hot coffee. The Americano was very good. It was for the most part smooth with a little but slight harshness on the back end of a drink. I came with a good kick. If you like teas, they carry a variety to choose from. This place discretely charges an automatic gratuity of 20% for orders over 40$. They actually penalize you for buying more and for doing bulk orders. I am fine with tipping and probably would've done so anyway but for a "takeout cafe" this is such an insane business practice that it's hard to overlook. read more

We stopped in again today and I have to say, it's becoming a habit! The girls behind the counter today were some we hadn't met. They were amicable, very helpful and nice. Each one of them were working on things, keeping busy. We got our caffeine lattes, then left to go pick up something to eat & take to the beach. I like this place and will return. It's a chill spot and I'm all about peace and quiet, which they have here. I'm not a fan of overcrowded cafes, where kids are running around wreaking havoc! Really diggin the chill vibes here. :D read more

The staff was friendly and the food looked good, but never got to try it. I ordered coffee (black), two smoothies, and a sandwich. Took about 10 minutes for the coffee and another 20 for the smoothies. I never got the sandwich but they were kind enough to refund me for that. The coffee itself was good, smoothies were OK. Crown Point Coffee is my favourite coffee spot and overall chill spot and I love that it's in my own neighbourhood. I go there at least once a week. They have my favourite cold brew on tap, the staff is always super friendly and able to give recommendations. For over 4 years, I've been coming here. My favourite items are the amazing breakfast samich on a croissaint extra jalapenos. The amazing lunch samich is just as good. And if you want something not on bread, their green eggs & lemon bowl is bomb. I've also tried their health burger add jalapenos and bacon and it's a sort of coming together of the breakfast and lunch amazing samich - minus the cream cheese. Haven't tried it yet but I could tell the cup had no weight when I picked it up. Photo is my large latte and I haven't had any yet. That is ridiculous! Staff was also unfriendly. I come here before and was looking forward to being in the area and getting a latte but won't be back. Update: didn't taste good anyway. This place is a solid neighborhood favorite coffee bar. The store front is teeny tiny, but there are two patio spaces outside perfect for groups or solo---- yes, some of the tables are shaded, some open to sunlight. Coffee is tasty. This is the best stop for ice coffee on the way to the beach or to a Bay walk or on the way in or out of Crowne point. My favorite part is the flavored ice coffee made with flavored beans NOT with syrup shots. It's fun to see what the various daily flavors are and gives us something to look forward to in the morning. I am psyched when there is vanilla nut or Hazelnut. Currently I am pairing my ice coffee with a seasonal pumpkin muffin. I also like the cinnamon buns especially when I toss it in the microwave for 8 seconds and eat the middle first. Recently my husband ordered the veggie breakfast sandwich and added eggs and it was fantastic and a great item to split with a pastry. The new Apple Pay option is fantastic thank you for adding this!! Makes my stop efficient and touch free. My boyfriend lives walking distance to this adorable coffee shop in the heart of Crown Point and we finally made the time to stop by one early afternoon for a bite to eat and a drink. Do not let my 3-star review fool you, the shop is so cute, the staff friendly, the menu expansive and the ingredients fresh. I know that my next visit will prove to deserve a higher rating! We showed up around 1:00 wanting two sandwiches, a coffee and an iced tea. I asked for the Cali Turkey Samich to be made on the jalapeno cheese croissant and it wasn't until after we paid and were waiting for our food that they informed me that they were out of the jalapeno cheese croissant and avocados. Those were literally the two ingredients that I wanted the most and we were in a bit of a hurry so I just had the sandwich without avocado on a plain bagel rather then try to figure something else out. They did offer to add hummus on it and I don't like hummus, but I did appreciate the offer. My Iced Tea was steeped and made fresh and I always enjoy fresh-brewed iced tea best. My boyfriend ordered the Italian Turkey Samich on a sesame seed bagel and loved it. He also greatly enjoyed his Iced Latte, although he really wanted the Iced Coffee of the day, which they were out of as well. The small outdoor patio is delightful with high walls to block out the Ingraham street road noise and coffee-puns written sporadically around. It is also dog friendly with complimentary poopy bags and water bowls. Like I mentioned, I absolutely plan on coming back to try the Turkey Samich as it is supposed to be made as well as some of the other sandwiches and bowls. Such a great weekend stop for a bite and coffee. We like to use this joint as a starting point for strolls along the bay. There is a small parking lot but the nearby streets also provide spots often. You order at the counter and be prepared for the line to be out the door regularly. The patio has some tables and seating - I do think its a bit run down and could use a good power wash and some new plastic chairs. The food is delicious and the smoothies are generous is size and particularly excellent. Preparation is a little on the slow slide, so between the crowds and the time food takes, be sure you're in a leisurely mood. You can't get much better. What a great group of girls that work here. The food is DELIGHTFUL. The Amazing Breakfast Samich is a lot, but something you must have at least once. I love the Riviera. Convenience for coffee 10/10 Value 8/10 Breadth of offering 10/10 Personally I just needed a place to get my caffeine fix and my order had been messed up a couple times over the course of my tenure living in Crown Point. They definitely have the espresso, different types of roasts, etc. but I never quite felt like I got what I paid for. That being said, I am still a fan of this place and would recommend it. A stamp loyalty program is hard to come by and gets me every time. I never came here for the food, but was always impressed at the breadth of their menu and for the simple fact that they have fresh bananas for something on the go. I can only hope that I can be one of the lucky individuals that gets to spend a casual morning with my dog and a baby catching up with friends on the patio. read more

I have never been to this little coffee shop, so I figured since I was on my way home from the airport, now is as good as ever to try it out. I parked in the lot and immediately noticed they are doggy friendly, which was awesome because I had my little fuzzball with me. I went inside to order and noticed not only do they have coffee, tea & pastries, but they also do breakfast, smoothies, fruit, acai bowls and a variety of other items. Bonus. There is a decent sized patio area where you are welcome to hang out with your doggies and enjoy the morning/afternoon. They have a variety of options for both coffee, tea, smoothies, etc and I appreciated that they cater to all kinds of people because they offer almond milk and a few other options for those who are lactose intolerant. The staff was incredibly nice, accommodating & knowledgeable of what they have to offer. There is plenty of parking in the lot and they do take credit cards (which is handy). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone especially if you live close by. Definitely go and support your local coffee shop. Bonus points: There are other fuzzy dogs there so you get a cute factor also :) read more

Walked the boardwalk along the bay to Crown Point Coffee from our condo - what a perfect morning walk! Crown Point Coffee provided an online menu and a to-go menu at the restaurant. Great options that were mostly healthy! I got the Chocolate PB Bananarama smoothie (very good), iced pumpkin spice latte w/ oatmilk (PHENOMENAL), and a jalapeño cheese bagel w/ cream cheese (unique yet tasty). The employees were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable yet all while very busy. The line to order is worth the wait! Crown Point Coffee also provides seating along side of the building that's very well shaded in clean. Sometimes it's so good it absolutly makes my morning. other times it tastes like burnt, bitter coffee with not enough of the sweetner. Incredible Service! The staff are perpetually inviting, happy and accommodating. Their menu is long and they are dependably so cheerful to modify any request or make recommendations. I've had huge amounts of diverse things on their menu and everything has been incredible - breakfast, smoothies, espresso, mixed beverages, tea, everything. In some cases the line gets a bit long (in light of the fact that their espresso is so great!) however they are dependably so quick so don't be stopped by the looks of the line! All in all, great local spot that really works with the vibes of the area and local people. The food isn't going to knock your socks off, but you will enjoy dining here and will find yourself back soon enough! read more

Established in 1983.

Located in the middle peninsula traingle near Sea World, Mission Bay & Sail Bay lies Crown Point Coffee, the favorite coffee shop for area locals & newcomers alike. Owner Summer Abu-Zahrah took over the business in 2009 & has completley remodeled the interior as well as expanded & upgraded the the 2 patios where patrons love to gather, many with their dogs & take advantage of the free wifi. The menu has grown significantly to include more breakfast & lunch items, necessitating longer operating hours. On any given day, a steady line of customers extends out the door during peak hours, but the well trained baristas work fast, know most patrons by name & have their orders ready before they even get in the door.

Summer started her career as a barista when she first moved to San Diego from Michigan in January '04. Don Yoon was the owner of Crown Point Coffee for over 10 years & gave Summer her first job opportunity upon moving here. "Don taught me everything I know about coffee, but most importantly, about our customers & how to treat them. “Make everything with love,” was Don's motto. Summer had grown to love the coffee shop as if it were her own during the 4 years of working there & beacuse of her passion, Don offered the shop to her. With her strong drive & a passion to make the business she loved succeed, she set the path for the legacy of her brother & friend. "Live each day to the fullest & be happy!" says Summer.

Some people might consider the downside of a place like this to be the small kitchen, as it can impact wait times and the kitchen's ability to accommodate specific requests. However!! I think this just makes the experience more special-- having to slow down and savor a dining experience instead of rushing from place to place is truly a treat. Although not always speedy necessarily, I've had amazing service every time I've visited here. On one occasion we had longer wait times for our food and were treated with a delicious cake at the end of our meal. On another, we had a very minor snafu happen where a server was adjusting an umbrella and accidentally knocked something over on the table next to us-- the staff comped all of our meals out of consideration which was just so generous and understanding. It wasn't our first choice, though, as all of our selections were sold out for the afternoon. The food was bright and colorful, but did take a little longer to prepare. My bowl had plenty of red bell peppers and onions, which I did eventually get tired of eating. I loved the crispy kale and wish they included more of it or some seeds on top for more crunch! That day they were out of stock on everything we wanted, so I will have to give it another go if I ever get the chance to revisit. Overall, the service was very kind from the ladies and the coffee is notable!

I don't frequent San Diego, so this was a special occasion for me. I was excited that they were able to accommodate my 8:30 p.m. reservation. In fact, it meant so much to me that I even canceled our sunset cruise so we could enjoy dinner there. We arrived on time and were immediately impressed by the beautiful ambiance. I asked one of the hostesses if it would be possible to be seated on the rooftop because of the beautiful lights everyone raves about. She told me there was a waitlist but promised she would continue checking since it was my birthday. Unfortunately, that's where the experience began to decline. Our waitress greeted us initially, but as the evening went on, we noticed we were receiving very little attention. She only had three tables, all within our view, yet she consistently attended to the other two parties while we were largely ignored. After we finished eating, we sat for over 30 minutes without anyone checking on us or acknowledging that we were ready for our check. To make matters worse, a photographer came through our section taking photos of every table except ours. While that may have been unintentional, combined with everything else that happened, it added to the feeling that we simply didn't matter. Eventually, we asked a concierge to locate our waitress so we could get our check. Fifteen minutes passed, and still no one came. I finally got up myself and walked to the hostess stand to ask for assistance. Only then did a manager come over. I explained how disappointed I was with the service. She apologized and offered complimentary desserts and cocktails, but at that point I had no desire to extend my stay. The issue was never about free food or drinks, it was about how unwelcome we had been made to feel. As a Black woman, that feeling is heartbreaking because you never want to wonder whether you're being treated differently. I can't say with certainty what motivated the treatment we received, but the consistent lack of attention, being overlooked while others around us were served, and how invisible we felt left me questioning whether we truly belonged there. The manager ultimately comped our entire meal, and while I appreciated her taking responsibility financially, no amount of money could erase what should have been a joyful birthday memory. The waitress never returned to our table after the manager became involved. As we left, several staff members stood at the host stand watching us. The manager had promised to bring me her business card but never did. Instead, she simply watched us walk out. I had anticipated an unforgettable birthday dinner for all the right reasons. Instead, it became unforgettable for all the wrong ones. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Born & Raised. Every guest should feel welcomed, valued, and treated with the same level of care and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I had on what was supposed to be a very special night.

My boyfriend and I were in desperate search of coffee one morning, and we've passed Crown Point a few times. So, we decided to try it.. and I'm glad we did! When we walked in the first thing I noticed was all the CHOICES of coffee drinks! I usually stick to my usual Triple-Shot-Medium-Vanilla Latte with no whip cream, and here was no exception. However, I had about 25+ other options I could choose from, which was nice to see (if I in fact decided to change my mind.) But, it was REALLY good. Dare I say it... a bit better than Starbucks (which I love). There's just a different, original taste to it! The girls at the counter were very friendly, all smiles. There was only one other couple when we walked in, but by the time we ordered our drinks, nearly 6 more people were packed into this small coffee shop. The 2 girls working kept their cool and acted really professional. I know I would have been stressed with all those people in such a little area! I actually kind of felt bad for the little food place next door, which is bigger, but had ZERO customers. Maybe they should take some pointers from Crown Point. The only thing I wish they did was take credit/debit cards. But, it's not a huge deal... there's an ATM right across the street to take care of that issue! read more

Crown Point Coffee reminds me of a Mom and Pop type place, comfortable and familiar, with high quality products at low prices, something too lacking today. It's perfect if you're in a hurry on the way to work or want to relax on the patio and read. The best coffee around with lots of selections and the baristas can make it "your way". The smoothies are by far the best I've ever had anywhere and the price can't be beat. New breakfast foods have been added with more to come I hear. The ones I've tried so far are quite good. A long time favorite of area locals but expanding. It's hard to spot while driving but if tourists and non-locals knew about this place it would be a hit. I always drove by Crown Point Coffee on my commute to work and was curious to see what they had to offer. This morning I stopped by to get an iced coffee and bagel w/ butter. Both were great... especially the iced coffee! I'm an iced coffee snob and found this one to be a perfect morning kick start. I'm only giving 4 stars though because their outdoor coffee area is pretty messy.. if they cleaned it up, maybe a DIY project that made it a bit more appealing, it would definitely be 5 stars.. especially with their outdoor dog patio that had a cute bulldog this morning hanging out in his dog house. read more

I love this little local hot spot for so many reasons. Great coffee, delicious food and smoothies on the go. Bacon, egg and cheese on a jalapeño cheese bagel, add avocado and lemon pepper is my go to sammy. They have different specials every week and make everything the way you want it. The service is genuine, warm and welcoming, with a strong sense of community. They are happy to make everyone happy and have a great day. Just blocks from the bay, board walk and beach. Pet friendly.
