I didn't actually order any food, but was so impressed with their kindness that it prompted me to leave this review. I was waiting for a car repair and thought it was a good place to hang out . I only ordered a cup of black coffee. They let me sit and sip, stopped by a few times to see if I needed a refill. When I went to pay, they simply said , No, it's ok- there's no charge. Perhaps they knew that car repairs are always hundreds of dollars and they could brighten my day with that cup of coffee. Jesus in action. Husband and I ordered takeout at lunch here and maybe that was our mistake as we should have tried the breakfast? In any case, we won't be ordering food here again. The only way I can describe it is bland. Like, shockingly and amazingly bland to the point I suspect the only reason people rate this place high is portion size. I ordered a burger and my husband ordered the French dip sandwich. Neither of us bothered to even eat half. I tried his thinking the au jus sauce would help and even that had no flavor and did not help the dry meat in his sandwich at all. So disappointing. The onion rings were crispy so I'll toss them an extra star for that. A friend suggested this place. I will probably eventually give it another chance, but my husband never will. We stopped for a late lunch. I got a chicken sandwich and salad. White toasted bread, breast of chicken w/ cheese melted on top....that's what it was. The salad was out of a bag and a little limp. Husband order a corned beef sandwich and cup of chili. The sandwich looked good.....but......the bread was toasted, the beef was just shortly out of the freezer/frig..icky AND there was no more beef after a HUGE piece of gristle was removed. The chili was a can of beans opened...no, not chili beans, just a can of beans which were rinsed and had a very small amt of cumin on it. Very disappointing over all. Hands down this is one of the best local restaurants in town so good we come here almost every Saturday or Sunday. Why, because the food and customer service are the best. This place is hoppin! It has a homey feel to it with the decor. It was Ssuper busy however the wait for a seat was not long at all. They have an early bird specials and daily features. Our waitress, Angela, was right at the table with coffee and to take our drink orders and they arrived to the table shortly after ordered. When Angela came to the table to take our order one of us was on the phone so she took some of our orders and came back for theirs and Angela handled it very well, did not show irritation at all. I got the bacon and egg breakfast (This Is the first place that I have been asked if I want my bacon crispy!) It was prepared exactly how I asked and I got coffee cake instead of toast!!! We ate here a couple of years ago. I guess it wasn't memorable since we haven't been back until today. I went with my wife and my son visiting from Texas. I got the huevos rancheros. It was excellent. The pork green chile sauce was tender and flavorful. Not hardcore Hatch sauce, but very tasty. My wife got the veggie scramble and said that it was excellent. My son ordered the country fried steak and loved it. I like that you can get your bacon cooked the way you want it -- soft, regular or crisp. When we got here it wasn't as packed as I thought it would be after reading all the other reviews. We got seated right away, and got served our coffee right away. But the only thing that lagged was our waitress. She came to our table three time to tell us she would be right with us. I watched her the whole time she kept chatting it up with the guest and filling empty coffee mugs. It wasn't till 20 minutes after being there she finally came and took our order. Terrible service and food. We found ourselves near here this morning and stopped in for breakfast. We were seated pretty quickly at a corner table near the exit. About five minutes later, we were given a single menu for the two of us. I asked for a second menu and ordered us two cups of coffee. The second menu never arrived but our coffees did with two creamers only each. The coffee was super strong and bitter so we asked for more creamer which also didn't arrive. Hubby ordered corned beef hash and eggs with home fries. I ordered bacon and eggs with tater tots. While we waited for our food, other diners arrived, ordered, ate and left. We had to chase our waiter down to ask about our order. No one comes to refill coffee either. Hubby's hash was from a can but cooked well as were his eggs. My eggs were cooked well but arrived broken. The tater tots were so overcooked that they shattered on impact and were inedible. Not a place that we will be returning to. read more

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. I have been coming to this place for years and never had any issues. The food is good and usually the service is also. My family and I went in for breakfast and it was very busy. It took over 15 minutes to have someone take our drink order and we waited 15 additional minutes for the drinks. When we didn't receive the drinks. I politely flagged down a waiter and asked for our drinks. He yelled at me from across the restaurant saying he is doing his best and will get them as soon as possible. I told him no problem. When he arrived at the table I advised him it was unnecessary to yell as I was simply asking him for drinks. I told him I understood he was busy but he kept yelling at me saying he was very short staffed and admittedly frustrated. He continued yelling at the table so the entire restaurant was staring. I advised him we would be leaving and he yelled "good, please go!" He is a young man and very clearly overwhelmed. His unprofessional behavior was an embarrassment for this restaurant. The elderly couple sitting next to us said he was rude to them as well, but they were afraid to say anything due to his erratic behavior. We used to frequent quite a bit. Used to consistently be one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. We hadn't been in several months, but excitedly went for the first time in awhile only to be disappointed. From the moment we arrived I could tell something had changed. Usually there would be a line out the door and a 20-30 minute wait on a Sunday morning. All new staff, but very friendly and attentive. We ordered our usual and immediately knew something was off. I asked our server and she said ownership had changed hands, but the cooks were the same. This is a cute little brunch spot and the food is okay. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my husband ordered an omelet topped with gravy and we were both satisfied and full when we left. I found this place on Yelp in a search for biscuits and gravy. It's a cute little Cafe (20 tables) in a strip mall near the interstate. The service was quick and friendly. Waiter Josh took care of me and we enjoyed a friendly chat while I ordered. The biscuits and gravy (plenty of both) were quite tasty and satisfying.
