Pretty mid flavors. I got the butter chicken burrito and mango lassi. Lots of chickpeas in the burrito, not a lot of chicken. Flavor was alright, not that creamy or flavorful. The mango lassi tastes a bit off, maybe I got a bad batch? I do like that it's in a bottle than a cup. Service was pretty fast.

Sometimes a bummmm-mer ends up being a good thing. As you know, parking is a premium on Valencia Street. We found parking and paid for an hour. We were headed to Valencia Pizza and Pasta to get our last end-of-the-year $10 smash burger only to find that it's closed on New Year's Eve. Like I said, "bummmm-mer". So, we walked and realized that a lot of restaurants were closed. Then we stumbled upon Curry Up Now. Why not? We ordered a tikka masala burrito and to our surprise it was really delicious. It was not too spicy or not too mild. It had enough satisfying heat! We saw someone order the tandoori chicken sandwich and said "next time!" We will return. The restaurant is very clean and the service friendly and attentive. Curry up and give it a go!

This spot has plenty of seating, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a table. The service is top-notch! Peter, the store manager, was incredibly welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of -- truly a great host. The food is consistently solid. I've had the Tikka Masala Burrito before (with added spice), and it definitely packs some heat but is super tasty and filling. If you're new to Curry Up Now, I'd recommend starting with that. This time, I was just in the mood for a snack, so we went with the Peri Peri Fries and Holy Moly Fried Ravioli -- both were delicious, especially with the sauces they came with. Overall, a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. Thanks again, Peter!

I ordered the tandoori chicken sandwich and it was really good. Got a beer to go with it. Really enjoyed ambience and I enjoy the neighborhood. Definitely coming back.

Spacious and clean, curry up now is a street food, sit down restaurant with a full bar. On the sign, it shows there's happy hour plus free chai with a parle g cracker! The chai is a bit spicy but great for a cold day. The chicken kebab was tender and tasty. The entree came with 6 patties, naan, and a choice of daal, Chana masala or rice. I love that they give you options for the side. I also ordered a side of Chana masala, which came in a cup and was $6. Overall, quick, clean, and yummy.

How do I like the deep fried cheese ravioli with Tikka masala sauce that I purchased from Curry Up Now? Hella vegan lickin' good!! No need for utensils as long as the deep fried cheese ravioli was deemed as a finger food. Just had to try one during Valencia Night Market last Thursday evening. Service with the smile on the chef's face! Might one day visit their interior spacey flair whose Indian spices are a warm welcome to my palate since Saluhall.

Good Indian food available on Valencia (and the occasional food truck). My personal favorites are the mini samosas and the chicken tikka masala burrito (anything in burrito form immediately gets a thumbs up from me). The employees have been very friendly to me every time I've been there. The location is often quite empty (likely because other people like me just grab items to-go) but is a fairly bright and inviting space.

Note: Restaurant accepts 1 DoorDash dine-in discount per party, even if you are ordering separate (eg double date). Just an FYI Location: convenient on Valencia, easy public transit Ambiance: spacious, quiet (except for music), empty, casual Parking: limited Seating: indoor only, lots of seats Food was extremely quick to come out. Mango lassi was okay- I would prefer if it didn't come in a single-use bottle, especially for dining in. Chicken tikka masala bowl with lentils was also okay. The chicken tikka was spicy but not as spiced as I would have liked. I also prefer a more creamy (rather than more tomato) based tikka. Lentils were okay, not the most flavorful. Deconstructed samosas were the best dish I tried, would recommend if you go to Curry Up Now. It was quite a large and filling portion, and had lots of flavor from the various sauces & toppings.

First time here and the tikka masala burrito was delicious! I almost ate the whole thing in a few minutes but had to control myself and save half for later! I def recommend if you're looking for a fun twist on Indian food. Their interior design is also super fun and pretty!!

Had some fast made Indian food at this place in the Mission District. It may have been fast but the quality didn't seem to be affected negatively. Curry Up Now is a good place if you're in a hurry. Of course you want to take enough time to enjoy it. There's plenty for meat eaters and vegetarians both to get some good stuff. A pretty slick looking inside and it looked like it could have been a chain. It's not though as this is the only location. There's a counter at front to make orders. After this you go wait and wait for the order to be called. They provide free chai tea. Had us quite a bit. It's about $16 for a meal. For sure kind of expensive. The portions are big though. I had the Hella Vegan Bowl. This is chana masala with chutney, pico, samosas, and vegetables. A pretty spicy and tasty combination. There's a few other plant based options. Good for those okay with Americanized Indian food. It's for sure not authentic but it has the spiciness you associate with it. There's plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Towards the end of our meal around 8:15 restaurant was mostly full but still a few open spots. Food: Okra Fritter - okay, solid portion size, sliced okra in a pakora like batter that added a hint of nuttiness and a touch of spice, served with tamarind and mint chutney for dipping, fried crispy, fairly dry and not oily Onion Persarattu - a thin dosa sprinkled with diced raw onions served with 3 chutneys and rasam soup, dosa was very lightly seasoned, didn't see any of the green gram mentioned in the description, dosa lacked crispness and ate a bit soggy, chutneys were okay but fairly bland Paneer Tikka Masala - minimal spice, creamy with a hint of tomato, okay portion size wish there was a bit more paneer to sauce in terms of ratio, need more seasoning and wish this was a touch saltier Service was lacking, tables were set with plates napkins silverware and two bottles of water which was nice. The rest was a pretty mixed bag, felt rushed to place our order once the group was seated they checked in twice in the span of 5min to see if we were ready. Food pacing once orders were placed was fine maybe 10-15min for dishes to be prepared and served. Once we were done eating staff did not check in to close out our bill for 10 min, when we finally did flag a server down we wanted to pay with blackbird so they told us to checkin and we waited another 5-10min before we were actually able to pay the bill. There are so many other great Indian spots in the Mission, would suggest those over this spot.Food felt under seasoned, service was lacking. I will say price point felt reasonable and maybe the kitchen and staff were off the evening I visited.

Copra is an absolute masterclass in coastal South Indian cuisine that completely recalibrates your palate. The Fillmore space itself is gorgeous--dripping with lush greenery and high-end tropical energy--but the absolute culinary obsession happening on the plates is the real story. We ran through a massive spread, and honestly, the flavor profiles are loud, complex, and unapologetically bold. The Standout Drinks -Jaggery Sour It hits that perfect balance of sweet and tart, with the jaggery giving it a deep, complex molasses-like richness that pairs beautifully with the spice of the food. -Salty City: refreshing and addicting Food hits -Mysore Masala Dosa: My personal favorite of the night. The dosa itself has that elite, perfect crisp-to-chew ratio. Pair it with the tomato and coconut chutneys, a heavy dusting of podi, and that rich onion sambar, and it's pure perfection. -Thayir Vadai Chaat: A total texture bomb and another personal highlight. It's got this incredible contrast between the cool yogurt, sweet date chutney, and the crunch of the Madras mixture and cashews. -Varuval Sea Bass Collar: Absolutely phenomenal. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection under that heavily spiced varuval crust. The karavelli curry it sits in is incredibly rich, and pairing it with the clean, bright snowpea poriyal and basmati rice made it an elite main course. We also dug into the Shrimp Vennai Roast (smothered in a brown butter chili chutney that is pure crack) and the Slow-Cooked Octopus with that sharp jaffna rub and grapefruit. Dessert -Jigarthanda: You must save room for this. The frozen caramel milk bar combined with milk jam, nannari, and the crunch of candied cashews is elite-level dessert engineering. It's sweet, cooling, and the perfect antidote to the spice of the meal. Last but not least, you must try their filtered Indian coffee. It delivers a strong nutty subtle sweet flavor. Service is sharp, fast-paced, and genuinely passionate about the menu. It's vibrant, energetic, and entirely worth every bit of the hype. A shout out to Ser taking care of our group of 6. She helped us make decisions for orders as we were divided in what we want. Lol

Overall, we enjoyed the food, although I felt it was a little expensive for the portion sizes. We made a fairly simple request to have one ingredient served on the side, but it was missed and never acknowledged. At one point, I asked for an extra napkin, and it was carelessly dropped onto one of our dirty plates. We were also asked to clear the table almost immediately after paying to make room for upcoming parties (as is their right, but they could have easily notified us of this earlier so we could plan accordingly - and the service hadn't felt particularly considerate or attentive up to that point). I understand they may have been understaffed, but the way the service was handled felt very avoidable. I wouldn't recommend unless trying authentic dishes is your top priority.

Now for the lunch buffet, there was a good variety of both meat and veggie curries along with basmati rice and a few appetizers (pakoras, etc). I enjoyed the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, dal and a veggie curry with spiced potatoes and peas. The dal had a nice flavor and a little kick and was a bit spicy, but paired well with the rice. The staff also brought over fresh naan, which was pretty good. The pakoras weren't too good, a little too salty, but the chutney helped. Customer service was friendly and attentive, with staff checking in occasionally on if we needed anything or wanted a refill of naan. I will say I assumed the chai was included with the buffet, and totally missed the signage that it was an extra cost. So, it was a slight surprise when we got the check.
