    Kathi roll

Why does this place have such a low rating? The food and ambience were amazing! Went on a rainy Sunday afternoon for brunch and the tall windows overlooking the rains made for a perfect atmosphere. Husband got the Kathi roll with paneer filling. It came with a spicy pico and frauds. He said it tasted great and would gladly eat it again. I got the paneer shammi kebab. Its a good low carb dish which came out on a sizzling platter. There were about 4 pieces of melt in your mouth paneer covered by the same pico. This dish was a bit spicy but the paneer was so tender. We also got vada pav for takeout and we'll tasted like the ones we get in Mumbai. You can really tell how excited I was about the food here:) Its going to be in my fav list for sure.

I don't understand why reviews are so low in my opinion , I am very picky with my Indian food palate and the flavor here is not rudimentary , there is depth without the overwhelming of aromatics or whole spices , food was hot and ready to demolish haha and not overtly spicy. I would say just as good as some of my close friend's home cooked versions of these dishes . The restaurant itself is a nice base building that has apartments and overhead tenants above it, overall really good and open late I'd come back just for the consistency to their flavor profiles compared to other Indian cuisine eateries I've been to before . Last but not least service was welcoming and restaurant dining area was packed .

My son surprised me at work by saying let's go for lunch. And he got me too curry up now. It's such a great location and parking also we found plenty knowing it was lunch hour. We got greeted and seated in few mins. Ordered the chicken burger which had fries along with it and son said meat was super tender and nice crunch to it. Fries tasted so much like peri peri. I got the blasted samosa platter or something which was wi heavy couldn't finish so packed it home. The sauce were amazing and so were people out there'. Read they have free chai from 3-5pm which is fun. Keep up the good job. Great location and great decor

I ordered the American Punjabi thali and it was really good except the onion seed naan that was slightly undercooked around the edges. Other than that everything was on point, great packaging and overall quality. The portion was generous and the pav was perfectly soft with a bit of crisp. The bhaji was especially amazing. I also tried the cauliflower rice which was okay. Many places don't consistently maintain their standards but this spot seems to live up to the expectations. Can't wait to try more items from the menu!

I think I would give this place another try. The food was decent, the staff were very kind and welcoming though. Unfortunately didn't get a pic of the food but I got some varies room of the chicken tiki masala, wasn't a fan of the rice.

The food is ok.. it's westernized Indian food. The curries are too heavy. The chaat was ok but some were too sweet. This just seemed like a fancy place if you don't like the authentic Indian food. The ambience is sort of nice, but gets too noisy. We asked the waiter to close the blinds because the sun was falling on our faces but they didn't seem to care. They also got us the check very late.

I really want to give them a lower amount of stars based on how little I care about the food but the place doesn't deserve a bad rating. The main issue is that the food just isn't that great and I'd only come for the pani puri. Everything else is small in size and not worth it. Really, the only shining star is the mortar and pestle bar that is connected to this restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, pani puri, and samosas. They need to offer fries or something more filling than those fried crisps. Also the vibe of the bar and the restaurant just don't mesh well. I won't be coming back for the food. But if I do end up here, I'll be ordering drinks from the bar and pairing it pani puri.

    Naughty Naan (paneer)

Went to Curry Up Now with some coworkers on a Wednesday around 4:30pm. It was not too busy and we just so happened to be there for happy hour which is from 4-6pm. Cocktails were $9 so we ordered the mango sangria and the spicy margarita. Starters/snacks were buy one get one free so we ordered 2 bun samosa, one guac and chips, and one fried ravioli. Then we ordered the naughty naan. Mango sangria (2/5): The waiter put some perfume on it so it smelled good but otherwise it did not taste great. It tasted more like carbonated water and I didn't taste any mango flavor. The cocktail itself was not very strong either Bun samosa (4/5): This was solid. The samosa tasted good and there was a lot of butter on the bun so that tasted good as well. I liked the idea of a samosa burger. The peri peri fries that came with the samosa were alright. Guac and chips (2.5/5): This was average. I did not like the guacamole that much. It could have used more seasoning like salt, pepper, and lime. Ravioli (3.5/5): Simple but tasty. Deep fried cheese ravioli with tikka masala dip. I liked the cheese and the dish was nice and warm. Giving it a 3.5 since it is very straightforward Naughty naan with paneer (3/5): Looked delicious. There was lots of cheese and sauce on it. However, we were not fans of the sauce. It was a little sweet. I would have liked for it to be a little spicier Service was on the slower side and it took time for our food to come out. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our drinks and appetizers. After we placed the order for the naughty naan, that took another 20-25 minutes. Some of the appetizers seem to be frozen and reheated and the happy hour cocktails are not that strong. My coworker also tried the complimentary happy hour chai and he said it did not taste fresh. Some good things were the ambiance and the background music. Our bill came out to be $80 which was not bad for a group of 4 but considering it was happy hour and the food wasn't very fresh, I didn't leave feeling very satisfied. I don't think I would come back

    Samosa Chaat

Curry-Up Now has truly outdone itself with their modern California twist on traditional Indian cuisine! From the vibrant atmosphere to the creative dishes, every aspect of this restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience. The cocktails, like The Mortal & Pestle and Summer Whip, were not only visually stunning but perfectly crafted to balance refreshing and bold flavors. As for the food, the Samosa Chaat and Bhel Puri were authentic yet had a contemporary flair, while the Guac Sev Puri was a delightful fusion that took street food to a whole new level. For mains, the Paneer Naughty Naan was cheesy and satisfying, and the Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito delivered a creative take on comfort food. The Lamb Sexy Fries were indulgent and flavorful, and the Tandoori Fried Sandwich was a crispy, spicy masterpiece. To end on a sweet note, the Hot Balls on Ice was the perfect dessert--an exciting blend of hot and cold with a unique presentation. Chef Das was very kind and staff made sure the service was good

While I loved the half restaurant half bar vibe, the food itself was mid. The lamb plate was soooo spicy I could barely finish it. I would probably only come back for the drinks which they have a wide selection of cocktail.

    Daal Lentil Halwa
    Meeta A.

Was craving for moong dal/lentil halwa and decided to pick up from Curry Up. Opened the paper bag to find this small bowl once I reached home. It costed me over 8$ for an average tasting few spoons of this halwa. Expensive and disappointing.

Not sure how the rating is so low. The food was great. The drinks were good, but small. The prices were reasonable. I did knock off a star for the cost due to the small size of the drinks. It has a chill vibe, and the bartender when we were there, I think his name was Fernando, was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Had such a great dinner at Valley Goat!…read more I went to Valley Goat for an anniversary dinner and could not be happier with my experience. Tristan was my server and he was so friendly and kind! The space itself is really cool, with lots of plants for decor. For my drink, I got the hot spring spritz, which was a really refreshing choice for a hot day. I asked Tristan how many dishes we should order from the snacks and plates section since I did want to order something from the bigger plates section as well. Tristan recommended one from the snacks and one from the plates to accompany a bigger plate. It was more than enough food for two! The crispy quinoa tuna poke salad was my favorite thing of the night. I loved all the flavors, and the fresh herbs really rounded out the dish. The tuna was super fresh and the quinoa added a nice texture. The disco fries were super unique and had sweet and salty elements, but it wasn't my favorite dish of the night. The sticky pork shank was super tender and I loved the salads on the side it came with. The sauces were tasty too and complemented the pork well. Since we were celebrating an occasion, we were gifted a mango sticky rice for dessert, which was super nice of Valley Goat! The dessert was one of the best desserts I've had at a restaurant. The coconut foam was perfectly light to go with the sticky rice, and the mango ice cream had great flavor. The watermelon granita also added a fun flavor to round out a perfect bite. If you're looking for a nice dinner, definitely check out Valley Goat! Parking is easy in the attached lot.

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

It was very authentic and refreshing. Chicken noodle soup was amazing! I don't know about the 8 hour boiled chicken since it tasted like chicken breast broth and not bone broth but it was super delicious. The noodles were slimy and it was very comforting. No chili oil was provided on the table. The server spilled some broth on our table while carrying a hot bowl of soup. I recommend asking the servers to use a serving plate to bring over food to the customer's table. Spicy chicken with honey and potatoes- We've tried this dish at many different restaurants, mostly without potato chips and we didn't like it here. Some pieces of chicken were bland and others absorbed most flavors. The honey did not help the dish at all. There was no balance of flavors. I did not like the addition of packaged wavy potato chips into the dish. Dai style seafood- This dish was very disappointing. It was served cold which was the highlight of the dish but nothing tasted fresh. This dish took the most time to come out. The dressing tasted well made, it was sweet and savory but the seafood hadn't absorbed the dressing. There were mussels, clams, squid and calamari in it and the balance of flavors was out of proportion. Laksa shrimp fried rice- Good wok hey, chewy mushroom bits and little pineapple bits but shrimp was very hard to find. The addition of egg was nice. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce- Nicely fried very tiny pieces of chicken with 1 tsp of tangy sauce. Good dish. Nothing extraordinary. I would come back for the chicken noodle soup on a cold night!

The inside is decently sized although there's no space for you to sit and enjoy your food inside and outside. There's a tablet at the register for you to submit your order. I opted for their ham and cheese isaac toast and an egg salad sandwich. I appreciate the food being made fresh and the workers were efficient, but the isaac toast had one slice of ham and A LOT of cabbage, both fried in a puck and non-fried. The egg salad sandwich looked good, but didn't have much flavor to rave about. I tried them all and everything blended together so perfectly. This restaurant concept is self-service--we prepaid for the food and picked it up when it was ready. Since it wasn't busy, the staff brought the food to us and took our dishes away rather than us having to drop the dirty dishes in the assigned area. The staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the service is top-notch. I will be back to check out other dishes. Highly recommend!

Quality/Quantity - So good to meet our friends. We only get to see them once or twice a year;…read moreeveryone in this group travels the world often. So it creates a challenge to get together. And finally, the last person in this group will retire at the end of 2026 (well earned)! So if we are not all traveling, maybe we can actually get together more often...? Dare to dream. Okay, today we got the following. It was more than enough for all us light eaters. Actually, I was surprised how much we all actually ate, compliments to the chef. Beef Shawarma - Tender beef, good mix of beef and veggies. Good flavors. Chicken Shawarma - My plate, I finished most of it and had my daughter finish the rest. I got rice, falafel (my daughter ate 3.5 of the 4, lol), and fries as sides. I could have used more fries, but that was probably a good thing I did not. Mansaf - The lamb was so tender. My daughter took half of this to-go. Lamb Shawarma - Again, a very tender lamb Salmon - Was okay, the healthier choice. Tender, I would have preferred it less cooked. Salad - Another healthy choice. Lamb Kebab - A more hearty lamb. Actually this is my preference over a tender lamb. Tabsi Salmon - Again, I would have preferred the salmon less cooked. Was not dry, but would have preferred it to be more tender. Sides we all shared - Hummus, lentil soup, rice, falafel, fries, veggies, salad, carrot walnut (this was actually really good), freeken, etc. Dessert - Baklava assorted; my daughter took all of this to go... She did NOT share with the group, lol. Drinks - Mango Yogurt, Pine/App/Lem/Mint Juice, Franziskaner Hefe (can you believe I did NOT drink today :) ) , mint lemonade, fountain drinks, etc. Overall, the food was good. Ambiance - Huge location. Not busy at all. They closed the "private" room right after we got here. Nice decor, this used to be a Mexican restaurant. Plenty of seating. But we did have to move some tables around to accommodate our 9 person group. Full bar. See pictures. Plenty of mall parking - Be safe; see the sign of car break ins. Open 7 days a week - 11am to 9pm or 9:30pm. Clean bathrooms. Well, they are NOT signing the log; see pictures. Service - Counter service. Self service - Drinks, napkins, and sauces. We have to walk back up to counter for more utensils. Bus your own tables, etc. Price - $261 + tip; our generous friends paid!!! Thank you! Averaged $30 per person which was not bad for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success and with your 6 locations.

Never thought I say this but TikTok brought me to Basquia Bakery (inside Mega Mart, a Korean…read moresupermarket). Well kinda... I usually get the same item at Basquia Bakery: Korokke, a Korean style fried bread with a crispy panko exterior, filled with savory mash potatoes. For $3, it's a good deal for a snack. Some of Basquia Bakery's baked goods are not labeled so I would have totally overlooked their Korean mochi bread if it weren't for TikTok. Last fall, Korean sweet potato mochi bread (goguma ppang) went viral. For months, the commercial frozen ones were sold out at Korean markets. The supply has since been replenished (along with frozen kimbap) but if you can't commit to an entire bag like myself, then this is for you. Plus, this may be the only bakery in NorCal selling freshly made Korean mochi bread. M E N U Along with mochi bread, Basquia Bakery sells cakes (slice + whole), roll cakes, fruit tarts, cream puffs, bread, buns, k corn dogs, etc. For drinks, they have non-caffeinated lattes (e.g. black sesame and beer). M O C H I B R E A D Available in pairs ($4) or a variety box of the five flavors ($9). I went with the latter. Visited Saturday morning around 9:45 am and the had about a 50% supply left. Can we talk about how adorable these are?! The mochi bread is shaped based on their flavors. The mochi "bread" is mochi with a chewy exterior filled with a mashed filling. This is my personal preference but I like mochi that has more of an elastic, bouncy QQ chew which this didn't quite have. The texture did improve after air-frying the leftovers. Flavors: * Sweet Potato // 4 stars Looks and tastes exactly like the real deal with sweet, fluffy mashed interior but hits different with the slight gelatinous chew. Tip: Eat this with kimchi. It's adds a delicious tang and heat to contrast the natural sweetness. * Corn // 4 stars Enjoyed the creamy corn filling with kernels for texture. * Potato // 4 stars Savory, creamy mashed potatoes. I wanted to pair this with a steak. Lol. * Chestnut // 4 stars I love roasted chestnut but this has cinnamony, chocolatey notes from the dusting of cocoa powder + cinnamon. There were chunks of roasted chestnut. * Kabocha // 3 stars Again, tasted like the real deal but too sweet for me. Overall, glad I tried this cute novelty at Basquia Bakery. I'm now convinced to buy a bag of the commercial frozen ones, yanno for taste test comparison purposes. ;)
