Katsu curry was excellent however i love lots os add ins for my curry and that's what makes curry expensive. So i had some of my husbands curry and it was good. But I'd rather make my own at home still. The katsu portion was great, that i do not do at home haha. I got the spicy oyakodon and liked it a lot but I think regular would've been more to my liking. First tried this place at their original location inside the Cheongdam Foodhall. We were back in town, and my BIL mentioned they opened their new location, which happened to be in the same plaza as Sushi Neko (IYKYK). He wanted to try it, so off we went! We came right when they opened for lunch, so there wasn't a wait. The interior has plenty of seating, spacious, and very clean inside. Service was great the day we came. Ordered the Curry Udon, which had good flavor and came out piping hot (be careful!). I've had their Ribeye Steak Curry before, which I prefer much better than the curry udon. I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of their Katsu Curry dishes, especially classics like Tonkotsu (pork) or chicken. Prices are surprisingly reasonable here too! LOL. This place just opened up! I went to the one in Cheongdom Hall and it was good so I was excited to try this one out. Tried the shrimp curry rice and it was so good!! The curry was rich and flavorful, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the portion was just right. Simple, comforting, and honestly deserves more recognition!!! read more

We started with appetizers some gyoza and karaage chicken. These were good choices, very tasty and very well cooked. In to the main course I got tonkatsu with Kurobuta sausage and cheese. I have to say that cheese was not my favorite. This was like cheese wiz and not the real cheese that other places use. The miso soup was good and the cabbage salad was great with that miso sesame dressing that they give you on the side. My friend got the oyakodon with the same cabbage salad. Everything was cooked perfect and the taste was amazing. This place has good food and a really great menu selection I will return to try other items here! Loved the minimal decor and how intimate the set up is. Menu offered more than just katsu but not overwhelming. Their second location is inviting and spacious, has plenty of seating, and good music playing songs by Boys II Men and Journey. If you want to be transported to Japan for a lunch in, this is the place to do it. The vibe legitimately made me feel like I was in a curry house somewhere in Fukuoka. Our server (whom I didn't get the name of) was a very sweet Korean ma'am. The food was excellent. I had the pork katsu curry and the accompanying dishes were phenomenal, especially the miso soup. I also had the takoyaki and it was better than some of the takoyaki I had in Japan. They just opened a month and half ago and I suspect that in another month and a half, it will be hard to find seating here. I can only recommend this place. It is worth the drive. read more
