    Shrimp curry with cheese
    Najiha M.

This place just opened up! I went to the one in Cheongdom Hall and it was good so I was excited to try this one out. Tried the shrimp curry rice and it was so good!! The curry was rich and flavorful, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the portion was just right. Simple, comforting, and honestly deserves more recognition!!!

This was my first time here, we were greeted by the host and seated right away. The place was empty but I was hopeful as the menu looked good. We started with appetizers some gyoza and karaage chicken. These were good choices, very tasty and very well cooked. In to the main course I got tonkatsu with Kurobuta sausage and cheese. I have to say that cheese was not my favorite. This was like cheese wiz and not the real cheese that other places use. The miso soup was good and the cabbage salad was great with that miso sesame dressing that they give you on the side. My friend got the oyakodon with the same cabbage salad. Everything was cooked perfect and the taste was amazing. This place has good food and a really great menu selection I will return to try other items here! I still am not sure why it was empty as the foods is great here! Maybe just slow day for them.. anyways give this a try and happy eating!!!

First time eating at this location. Tucked back in the corner next to Broken Coffee. Service was great- the woman helping us was welcoming and helpful. Loved the minimal decor and how intimate the set up is. Menu offered more than just katsu but not overwhelming. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, Pork Katsu Curry, Ribeye Steak curry and a Katsudon. The prices were definitely great and affordable for the amount of food they serve. Food was exceptionally delicious! Omg. Husband and I compared it to another place we like but this place might surpass that. Overall this is definitely added to our list of favorite places!

Chicken katsu curry and a side of cabbage!! You really can't go wrong with this hot curry dish. It was very tasty and a good portion however for $2 extra we got corn and I think we could have gotten a lil more for that price. Surprisingly quick service on a Saturday. If you're in the mood for curry this is a spot to go to! Lots of tables in the food hall to sit at. Good music & vibes all around.

I came here for dinner on a rainy day. I walked in and was surprised at how spacious the restaurant is. It has a very nice minimalistic vibe. We were seated towards the back and given water right away. I ordered the meat lover curry and my son had the tofu curry. Both plates were so savory and delicious! It definitely hit the spot and was the perfect comfort food for this gloomy day. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was tasty. Highly recommended!

Was craving something like Coco Ichibanya here in Vegas. Curry ya's pork katsu plate was pretty affordable at 12.95 which included shredded cabbage with a sesame dressing and miso soup. Tried the Kara-age and gyoza. Gyozas was not as crispy as I liked but the filling was good. Kara-age was solid. Service was quick and staff were friendly! Restaurant is new and clean.

Upon coming into this restaurant, I was shocked on how pretty it is on the inside and the decor. I've been coming to their 1st location and it's my favorite curry in Vegas and the price is unbeatable. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The curry always comes out in a generous portion and fresh. I wish this establishment all the success and I'm excited to keep coming back.

Gyudon meal set and tonkatsu udon

First time trying this location! It was just as good as their location in cheongdam food hall. This curry ya is also connected to the broken coffee next to it so you can go get a sweet drink after. I got the gyudon and my friend got the tonkatsu udon. My gyudon came with a side of miso soup and cabbage salad. Everything was good and I'd rate my food a 8.5/10. Only downside was that the rice was a tiny bit mushy in some parts. The place is well decorated with table seating and bar seating. Our server was nice and they have an option for self checkout when presented the bill which is convenient. Overall would definitely come back again!

Absolutely obsessed with this place! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by that cozy, homey vibe and the amazing smell of Japanese curry in the air -- instant happiness. The food? Incredible. The curry was rich, savory, and had just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting. Every bite felt like a warm hug. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better -- you can tell they really care. Whether you're a curry lover or trying it for the first time, this spot totally hits the mark. Shoutout to RJ, Joey, Abby, and Ella as well as the awesome kitchen staff for preparing these delicious comfort meals! I'll be back!

I went in for lunch on a Friday and was seated right away. I ordered a classic pork katsu curry with rice and it's served with a sesame salad dressing and miso soup. Everything was delicious but the miso soup could have had more miso paste in it. Will definitely come back again to try the curry udon and the donburi bowls. The ambience of the place was great, they opened last month so everything looks new and I like the Japanese decor. Joey was my waiter and he provided excellent service. Definitely would recommend this place.

Ambiance is spacious and the art is cool! Service is attentive. I ordered tofu katsu curry extreme spice and it comes with miso soup and cabbage salad. I usually eat very spicy so the extreme spice was not too spicy. My boyfriend ordered cheese pork katsu curry regular spicy.

So glad we stumbled upon this newly opened spot! Great service and even better food! The Curry Udon was soooo delicious highly recommend getting.

I tried this katsu curry spot for the first time and it did not disappoint! The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and I also had the udon and takoyaki. Both were delicious and super comforting. The inside of the restaurant genuinely reminded me of Japan, from the décor to the cozy atmosphere. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, amazing food and great service. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

Fortunately, the wait was only about 10 minutes, which was surprisingly quick. I ordered the soft-shell crab, baked green mussels, and BBQ ribs with steamed rice. My son ordered the yoshu ramen and fried rice. The food came out fairly quickly, but I noticed that the baked mussels never arrived. When I asked our waitress about it, she said the kitchen was backed up. However, after waiting more than 30 minutes and already finishing the rest of our meal, it felt like the order may have simply been forgotten. What disappointed me most was the lack of an apology. The waitress even asked if I still wanted the mussels at that point. I was ready to cancel the order, but Kyo stepped in and tried to make things right. Thanks to his efforts, the mussels arrived about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, when the mussels finally arrived, I was disappointed again. They were prepared very differently from the baked green mussels I'm used to getting at restaurants in Los Angeles. They were quite spicy, which wasn't mentioned, and the flavor just wasn't what I expected. After waiting more than 40 minutes for them, they definitely weren't worth the wait. Overall, the food was decent, and the restaurant was busy and energetic, but the service mishap and the disappointing mussels left me with mixed feelings about the experience. I do appreciate Kyo's effort to make things right, as he was the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating situation.

So we went to Tora, we hadn't been here for ages and since they have several of my favorite dishes, we figured why not... Ashley was our server and was running the register as well. Seating was quick, lively music vibe, perfect for lunch. We ordered takoyaki (IYKYN what these are) as an app. Some of the best I've had . My meal was the "hire" katsu teishoku (teishoku means set or complete meal) with cold water noodles . The "hire" katsu was more robust and a bit fattier than the plain katsu. The meal comes with a shredded cabbage salad, a small piece of tofu wit sauce . Another feature that lends to the authenticity is the little grinder bowl with sesame seeds and the muddler. You pulverize your sesame and then they bring a pitcher of tonkatsu sauce to add. My pork was fatty delicious the panko was light and crispy, the cold water noodles (a must have in summer time in Japan was great, good size serving on a plastic fake bamboo style made with a few ic cubes and a small bowl of soy to dip.... So cooling. I also ordered a side of curry to dip my katsu in. My dining companion had the tempura style shrimp teishoku ... with a side of rice and udon soup. The shrimp (5) were huge and totally crispy. We were stuffed when it was time to leave. By the way they serve alcohol, but we didn't partake. I imagine this place is pretty lively in the evening.. Didn't ask for a military discount. Tab was $ 103. 00 including 20% tip. Well worth it!

Although both were breaded and deep fried, I thought the chicken katsu was flakier than the tonkatsu. It was lightly breaded, not thick and heavy, crispy. The curry was tasty, not spicy. The chicken katsu was cooked well, no skin, soft and juicy not dry. I got the Hire Katsu (pork tenderloin) vs the Rosu katsu (pork loin). The Hire Katsu is leaner and melt-in-your mouth tenderness. The Rosu katsu is fattier and juicier. Both came with Fukujinzuke which is a pickled daikon (turnip)...sweet, slight tang and crunchy. It was tasted good with the curry. I think it goes well with curry if you like this type of vegetable.

The ambiance is definitely one of the strongest parts of the experience -- stylish, moody, and it honestly feels like the perfect late-night spot to grab cocktails and listen to live music. I could absolutely see this being a great vibe later in the evening. We ordered the Thai jerky, takoyaki, spring rolls, pad see ew, chicken fried rice, and the uni pasta. The uni pasta was easily the star of the night -- rich, flavorful, and honestly the one dish I'd come back for. Everything else ranged from okay to forgettable. Unfortunately, the pad see ew was genuinely bad. The noodles and vegetables were undercooked to the point where we had to send it back. What really left a bad taste in our mouths though was the ending. When the bill came, we initially paid without checking too closely. Someone then reminded us about the pad see ew, so we went back in to ask for an itemized receipt. Before we even explained much, the waitress immediately said, "Oh my god, I forgot to take off the pad see ew." That response made it pretty obvious she already knew it was still on the bill and seemed to expect that we just wouldn't notice. The beautiful atmosphere and the uni pasta weren't enough to outweigh the mediocre food and disappointing service experience. Really wanted to love this place because the vibe is there, but overall it left us disappointed.
