They got all 10 of us waiting in line out in about 10 minutes. I got my 2-item combo plate: rice and orange chicken with kung pao. Kung pao was mid, but the orange chicken was fire! Best of all, they pack the plate up, and it's fresh and decently priced. I think this is the best Chinese spot in the Silver Lake area! It's fast food Chinese food. That being said, I like this place because it's good for what it is. The serving sizes are generous and they are pretty consistent with their options and flavors. I like to get the 2 item combo. I usually opt for the noodles. They can be bland sometimes but I kind of like that. I can flavor them up with soy sauce or hot sauce or whatever I like, to adjust to my own taste. The orange chicken used to be my go to, but this is the one dish that I think I've notice noticeable changes to. It's more batter than chicken unfortunately. But the rest of their options are great. I like to alternate between the broccoli beef, the shrimp/veggie stir fry, kung pao chicken, and the teriyaki chicken. I usually add an order or veggie egg rolls to my order as well (for the drive home, haha). The service here is always friendly. There are a few tables for indoor seating but most people take it to go. There can be a long line at times, but it moves incredibly fast since most people already know what they want when they get to the front. My partner and I have been coming here for years. read more

I ordered Daily China Express for lunch (uber eats) and I was very disappointed. The food tasted as if it had been sitting for hours. The rice was dry, the bbq pork and teriyaki chicken was extremely dry. It was so dry that I could not even eat it. In the picture you could see all the grease and when you bite into the meat, it was so dry and hard. The only thing that was decent was the noodles. I will not be ordering from here again. Beware. I got the orange chicken and buffalo wings with white rice and chow mein. The staff gave generous portions and they are friendly. My dog also loves eating chicken and I usually wash it off and give him a couple pieces. However, later that night I woke up at two AM in so much pain. My stomach felt like something was gonna burst out of it. Then, I hear my dog screaming uncontrollably and he starts running around the place. I start to panic, cause I'm stuck on the toilet and I hear him screaming like I never have heard him before. I take him outside and he runs up and down the block screaming at the top of his lungs. My stomach is still in pain. I'm sure the neighbors thought someone was being murdered. After a few hours he finally calmed down. His pain has passed. And my bowel movements started to come back to normal. But unfortunately his back legs gave out after running around the block. I feel like after a week or two he'll be able to walk off his limp. I have never experienced that level of pain from eating at a place. I have never heard my dog scream like that. Just beware when eating at this restaurant. I ordered the Two Large Boxes and Three Medium Boxes which is essentially 2 large sides, I chose chow mein and fried rice, plus 3 entrees, I chose orange chicken, broccoli beef, and shrimp vegetable. I ordered on Uber Eats and they had a promo for 2 free egg rolls with purchase of $20 which was cool. The food arrived pretty fast and was nicely packaged, hot and fresh, and generously portioned. This place has better orange chicken than many of the more pricey echo park and Silverlake Chinese places) and insane portions this is the place! The worst. Was craving just some fairly priced hole in the wall Chinese, I got hole in the wall for sure. Food arrived cold, missing egg rolls (which are actually just spring rolls). Once I reheated it, I spit one bite out and threw the rest away. Broccoli beef was a stringy mess of dried out ... mystery meat? Will 100% give neither this fail of a spot or postmates business (I'm one when there's millions but, whatever). Ugh there's no way to salvage any of this junk. Where's the meat? Ordered the family meal for pickup on Doordash. We were hard pressed to find any meat, it was absolutely LOADED with vegetables. Also sadly the meat to be found tasted strange.
