This kept popping up on reviews and recommendations so I had to try it. Great choice for sure ! I had the rougarou alligator and it great. The jalapeños had just enough bite and everything had tons of flavors. Great quick stop.

    Fries were really good!

I hadn't been here in years, but this place was even better now than it was back then! We got the Flying pig which was very good. I was going to get one too, but the server convinced me to get a different one, that I cannot remember the name of, I think it might've been a limited time special they were doing? Whatever it was, having the coleslaw topped on it was sooo good. I hope I can get this again! The fries were also surprisingly tasty. I think I'll be coming back soon!

Awesome Guinness Dog , Bacon Werewolf, and flying pig dog. Best dog I've ever had.

Wow, still wonderful. Dat Dog has a large menu, including vegan, but I never get passed the huge variety of dogs. At this point in our repeated visits, I have tried the Alligator, Andouille, Bratwurst, Crawfish, Duck, Holiday, and the Classic Frank Dogs, and there are many more to go. And all go well with a cold Abita and Chili-Cheese Tots. I have eaten at all three Dat Dog locations (Freet, Frenchmen and Magazine Streets), and they are all great, but Magazine is closest to my heart. It's ... cozier, friendlier, warmer ... and five blocks from where I always stay when visiting NOLA. So add convenient to that list. Seriously, I think the krew there are just the best, couldn't be nicer, more considerate, family-friendly, full-measure kind of people. The three restaurants have always been neat, clean, with plenty of in-side and out-side seating. So, when you are tramping up and down Magazine Street, I Highly Recommend you stop in, take a load off, cool down, and dig in. Oh, yes, there is a full bar. Good hot dogs or sausages. . Lots of fun choices. Wish the dogs were larger for the price.

Loveeee me some dat dog! I was in town visiting family and I've been gone for 2yrs. It didn't taste like it did in the beginning and seems like they cut back on the amount of toppings, but it was still good! They were super nice and everyone was helpful! I can't wait to go back home and try the new menu

Found this gem of a place while wandering down Magazine street. Food was delicious, service was fast and the inside was nice and clean. Would deff recommend for a quick bite to eat.

Vegan bratwurst!!! The vegan banger was amazing, the texture the taste the bun the toppings all were spot on. The staff were super nice and very laid back so don't expect to rush in and out but do expect a great hotdog experience.

OMG BEST Hotdogs I've tried. Incredibly talented and creative hotdog recipes. I would have to come back a few more times to get to know more the menu. There's a patio and bar inside so there plants of room for bigger groups and families. Fun and friendly staff. Now, the only drawback is the wait. And be ready for it. We waited 20 minutes for two hotdogs in a slow Sunday lunch.

A delicious dog. I decided to build my own. I got smoked Brotsworth with grilled onions and cheddar cheese. It was pretty decent. The chili cheese tots were also delicious. The chili was very good, next time I am adding it to my dog! The atmosphere and outdoor seating is nice. Bathrooms were dirty and you have to park out on the street, no parking lot.

Went for the weenie dog event, it was so fun!!! Drinks and dogs were great, and the staff was incredibly nice, helpful and friendly (especially Gabby). Will be coming again!!!!

This is NOLA version of a Chicago Dog.

This is a cute and colorful restaurant. I have not had a hot dog nor thought about one in a few years. Will try another location but definitely would go back.

A love letter to Coquette…read more I moved to New Orleans in 2014, for a job I'd been trying to get since 2012, and which resulted in the end of a relationship with someone who had fallen out of love with the city years before. My life has been changed in so many positive ways over the last 12 years, and it all started with Coquette. My first meal out, on my first day of work right after Labor Day was at Coquette for lunch with my ex-boyfriend's law school friend. I don't remember the person's name, and don't think I actually saw him again after that lunch, but I remember the feeling of that fancy, yet understated meal as a warm welcome to the city I now call home. I've gotten incredible fantasy football tips from the bartenders over brunch at the. I've celebrated birthdays and promotions and making in to Thursday with dinners and wine. No matter why I have ended up at Coquette over the years, and with who, it's always ended up being a special experience that is just hard to put into words. Of course when I heard we were nearing the end I immediately made a dinner reservation, and brought my partner, who somehow had never been. We sat at the bar, and ended up running into one of my close friends also getting one last meal at this special spot. We ate like kings and laughed and marveled at how unique this place is, even in a city full of award-winning chefs and beautifully curated restaurants. I'm so sad that this era has come to an end, but so grateful to have had so many great experiences here and that those who brought us this place are embarking on new culinary adventures in the city! So long, and thanks for all the fish!

It's a super cool, modern atmosphere with a very comfortable yet /modern feel. On this trip, we had the Charred Artichoke, which came out with perfect char yet tender hearts. Tasty with an onion/garlicky cream sauce. We had two show stoppers...1. Crispy Cauliflower is in a green-onion/chili-oil/harissa-type red slather. Sooooo good! Then, the VERY BEST 2. Avocado Panzanella: the best I've ever had in America and my best panzanella period! That says a lot as I LOVE them in restaurants globally, including Southern Tuscany/the Isle of Sicily. It's an avocado lover's dream, with plenty of this star ingredient of many chunks of avocado(zero skipping here!), crunchy bread pieces, sun-dried tomatoes, etc., in a creamy, slightly hot honey vinaigrette (I believe). There is a Bay Scallop Aracini we have to try next time. It sounds Great! I LOVE a Bolognese because it takes 12-16 hours to cook/smolder/meld. The Bower takes such time & it's very apparent they care to smother it with plenty of porky and beefy goodness. Amazing entree‼ Lastly, our dessert was a Dark Chocolate-type tort. Not sure if it's "flourless," so I don't want to say that in case you're on a flourless diet. But, if you can, it's fantastic. Thankfully... Not too sweet at all. It's perfect, and I'm not even a typical chocolate person. Pls geaux...youll be very satiated!!!

The service, however, was absolutely outstanding. The staff was attentive, kind, and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. Service: 10/10. Food reviews from our table: Glenn: Shared the lamb appetizer and felt it lacked flavor and was a very small portion. He also had the flounder, which he felt was a very small serving and only average in taste. He hated the bread. Overall rating: 5+/10, mostly because of the excellent service. Silvana. Had the flounder and felt it did not seem like flounder, was very thin, dry, and flavorless. The zucchini was good but extremely small--essentially one bite. Rating: 3/10. Stephen: Had the $40 redfish plate, which he felt looked more like a lunch portion. He thought the food itself was decent and rated it 6/10, but was disappointed by the size for the price and said he left still hungry. Me: I had the red snapper, which was actually a more reasonable portion than the others and tasted decent. I would rate it 7.0/10. I also sampled the other dishes and personally found the flounder to be very bland. The lamb appetizer, in my opinion, was the biggest disappointment of the evening and I would rate it 1/10. Overall experience for me 5/10. Overall, a rating of 5/10 (average between all 4 of us) mainly because of the services. While the service was excellent, the portions were surprisingly very small for a high-end restaurant and the food did not meet our expectations, especially for a birthday dinner we had been looking forward to with family visiting from out of town. It's very nice on the inside and all of the service employees were friendly. We each ordered an appetizer that all range in the 15-20-dollar range. I got a fried broccoli salad which for 16.00 was just broccoli, a few peppers and a vinaigrette. For an Entree I got a Gulf Fish Du Jour en Papillote. I think this meant fish cooked in a bag. The fish was a piece of amberjack that came out looking pretty with a very small side of acorn squash. This cost 45.00. I never order a dessert, but the servings were small, so I go the banana split which is really banana bread pudding with banana ice cream. This was delicious but 15.00. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time.
