Serving Richmond since 1978! Awesome classic fish and chips and their other menu items are also great. Service is awesome, and they can fill up fast during peak times. Pricing is fair and portions are decent. Great place if you're a visitor or local, and very dependable quality.

We had the fried clams and also the cod fish. The fried clams as you might be able to tell from the photos were a bit over fried. They were sweet but a bit too chewy. Much better with the lemon The fish was crispy but the cod was again a bit overcooked. The fish was almost rubbery. The tartare sauce was okay Service was really friendly - not fast but really friendly and nice. Would come back to try their other items

Went at lunch time on a Friday. The service was relatively quick despite 2 other groups being there. Our waitress offered to take a picture of us without prompting. I love how the place is decorated! Huge fan of the paintings around the restaurant. It does have a bit of Krusty Krab vibes. The orange creamsicle I ordered was good but nothing extraordinary. Clam chowder was super tasty. I've only ever had fish and chips at White Rock before and this is definitely better. I ordered the cod fish and chips. You could totally share the meal between two as the portion is rather large. The batter is light and well seasoned. I appreciate that it is not very greasy and it maintains a good crunch. The fish is nice and flaky on the inside. I thought it was a good batter to fish ratio. The slaw was delicious. If I'm being honest, I'm not the biggest fish and chips fan as I'm quite picky about fried food in general. But if you're in Steveston, it's only right that you get fish and chips and I think I made the right choice eating here. Would recommend!

A great spot for some fresh fish & chips in Richmond around Stevenson Fisherman's Wharf. Been here a few times and the food and service never disappoints. When you come here, definitely get the cod or salmon fish & chips!

It was a sunny spring day and we wanted to find a nice a lot to sit outside and have some great fish and chips. Initially we were going to the old reliable, Pajo's but couldn't find parking anywhere close by, and happened across Dave's. The line up only took about 15 mins to get through. They allow one person to go inside and order. The prices are very reasonable and they have several choices, besides fish and chips, such as chicken strips, burgers, oysters, prawns and scallops. There are several tables to the left of the restaurant outside, but of course those are busy, so you'll want to keep an eye out to nab one when you can. We got the fish basket, which includes two pieces of fish (you can choose cod, salmon or halibut with different price ranges) 2 fried prawns, 2 fried oysters and 2 fried scallops. It also comes with fries, tartar sauce and red seafood sauce. It came hot and crispy, not soggy at all. The batter is really tasty and the fish was fresh and moist, not too oily. I loved the scallop as well, it tasted so good, fresh, and you could really taste the scallop. The oyster and prawn were also really good and fried perfectly. The fries were ok.....a little dry but using up the provided malt vinegar helped! We will definitely come back when we are having a fish and chip craving!

    Logo and funny motto

I'm assuming the restaurant is just as bad as the take out since it's the same restaurant. Even though I asked if there was peanut oil used, I still had an allergic reaction to the fried foods. When my family asked the person at the front just shrugged their shoulders. Thankfully I know the taste and had my medical bag. But good news if you DONT have a peanut allergy, great value for what you get, big portions, and outdoors was a good ambiance. My dad said the food was delicious.

Came to try the fish and chips as that's the thing to do if you're in Steveston right!? Overall-decent fish and chips, tartare sauce was great. I wouldn't say it was the best fish and chips I've ever had, but it was definitely good and I'd visit again. They have a order window and optional seating. Orders were a bit slow to come out during busier times as they also do take out orders over the phone -but that's expected.

The prices were very reasonable for Steveston area. The restaurant filled up rather quickly for a cold Wednesday afternoon in March. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh tasting. The portions were of average size. The Tiger prawns were the best part of the Meal. I ordered the first mates platter with a bowl of clam chowder instead of fries. Today they were out of halibut so I got the salmon. The salmon was a good choice. The clam chowder was a tad on the salty side for my liking so next time I'll try the fresh cut fries & halibut. I recommend to try this place when your in Steveston.

Food and service was mediocre in my one off experience. I personally had much better food at Pajos on the wharf.

Be prepared to wait, and wait you will. Especially if it's a sunny day. 30 min to order your food, and then another 20-30 min to get it, depending on how busy they are. Outdoor seating only with a bunch of benches and a few tables. I already knew I was going to do take away, so I didn't need to jostle for a seat. Almost everyone else had to do the jostleing. Two piece cod and a salmon tacone. The cod was overcooked. The tacone was good. Fries were crispy and unevenly fried. Meaning some pieces were burnt a little. Still acceptable tho. Hence the 3 ***'s It was decent, but it didn't wow me. Maybe it was an off order day. I like my fish. You can smell the ocean near the pier. Makes me feel I'm surrounded by fish and everything fishy.

The building is definitely on the older side. Lots of wood trim. Reminds me of an old dock. The seating area is L shaped, and largely fits around the outer edge of the building (the restaurant is on a corner lot). Great view of the park and water. Staff are friendly and cheerful. As my friends and I were only here for a beer, I can't comment on the food. Pricing looked pretty reasonable, and I've heard good things about this place from friends. Not an Entree size and certainly not filling. The rest of the ingredients were so underwhelming. Barely any beats, a few tomatoes and just a heap of shredded carrots over a bed of greens. So very basic for an $18 salad without the chicken. The 2-piece Cod and Chips. The actual battered fish was nice. The service is great here and the ambiance is kind of classy. I loved getting to watch the bartender shuck the oysters and grate some fresh horseradish on the plate. It was also really fun that they had a variety of sauces you could put on the oysters ranging from a mild mignonette vinegar and cocktail sauce to spicy hot sauces. The oysters that day were from Fanny Bay, so they were very plump and juicy! The addition of the fresh horseradish on the oysters added a really nice flavor with just a hint of the spicy kick you get from jarred horseradish.
