Ok, yes, I just left another eatery. However, when I saw a DJ playing music and that Dave's Hot Chicken was open, I had to park and get out to observe this new chicken spot. Several employees were enthusiastically announcing the grand opening and distributing Dave's Hot Chicken stickers. I genuinely enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the crowd. Parking is not problematic here. There were 2 kiosks that were available. However, I chose to order at the register. I wanted to ask the employee for recommendations. She mentioned that the heat of my chicken is what varied, so I ordered #4 mild light hold the slaw added mac n cheese, not fries. My daughter really likes just the chicken. $5.00 for a chicken tender sounds like a lot, but they are usually big enough. When you get smaller tenders, then the place is way overpriced. This isn't about the restaurant or food. The food is always great at Dave's. This is was more about the older cashier lady customer service today. I had ordered my food through the mobile app. Never an issue before. As I got there the cashier politely greeted me and I asked how she was doing as well. All good then I proceed to tell her know that I had a mobile order. She had some difficulties checking my order even when I gave her my full name and showed her my phone to see my order number. She then proceed to try and locate the order behind her. Eventually another worker inform her that my order was on the rack all ready. She then grab my order and toss it on the table for me to grab and tells me to have a good day. My main issue wasn't that she couldn't find my order, but it was tone on how she reacted and tossing my order on the table rather then just placing it there for me to grab. I wasn't even expecting for her to apologize for not finding my order, but the nonchalant tossing my order on the table really bother me. Any how I thanked her for my order and left. No issues before on the customer service. Dave's had always been great, but I still don't like my order being toss on the table that's all. I was polite the whole time and greatly respect the people that work in the food industry, but please don't toss my food around and be a little more aware on how your tone is with customers. I've been to several Dave's Hot Chicken and let me tell you, a business will have more customers if businesses had more employees like Aisha (sorry if I misspelled her name ). This wonderful employee not only was super friendly, she checked on the dine-in customers more than a waiter would in a restaurant. This Dave's Hot Chicken location comes in clutch for your late-night cravings. I live within walking distance and I'm sometimes out late getting social on 2nd street. I came here after going to Legends, right next to it, and loved it. I ordered two tenders with fries, which came in a decent portion. The chicken tenders were big and red. They looked more spicy than what I expected from the color. The fries were also seasoned well and crispy. My favorite part was Dave's sauce, which reminded me of Raising Cane's almost. Next time, I would love to try their sandwich with fries or get the tenders again if I'm in the mood. I also would buy more of that sauce on the side. I got it in mild - it's definitely mild you are safe with that if you don't like spice at all. Go hot or higher if you like spice.
