Came here at a locals suggestion for having "the best fish tacos". They are fantastic. They all sounded so great that I couldn't decide.... so I ordered the taco sampler and the salmon tots. It's a food truck with outdoor seating - but it's super nice with a large tent with heaters and more tables with umbrellas within a cordoned off area where you can buy beer. Went here twice on our trip to Juneau. The best fish tacos i've ever had. We were here in the summer and it looked like local teens were running it, not sure how it is year round but they were all very friendly and professional. Wishing Alaska wasn't an 8 hour plane ride. Amazing!! This was the best food that I had on my trip to Alaska. Had the fish taco sampler, unique and the fish was beyond fresh. Fries had a great seasoning on them. A must visit in Juneau. This spot just right off the landing near the cruise ships in the Port of Juneau is seriously outstanding. My wife who never eats fish n chips was compelled to try this spot out. Dave brings the food to you outside his trucks and boy it it something fantastic. You should go halibut first then salmon. We tried everything. I'm not a big fan of cabbage but if it doesn't bother you then please try halibut. The fries were special and beer battered. You can get them hot n fresh. Good halibut tacos and friendly service. Being a local and having had many different fish tacos for years and years, I'm a bit harder to impress than others. I thought the breaded halibut tacos were good...definitely better than average. The breading was light (which is a good thing) and the fish was tasty. They were on par with a few of the better fish tacos in Juneau. All the menu items seemed to be priced a couple of dollars too high, but the price of halibut is currently high (has been for a few years), Deckhand Dave's uses fresh ingredients (higher cost for a better product), and this is in a "tourist zone". My girlfriend had a halibut cake and said she couldn't taste any of the halibut, partly because she thought it had too much spice. She gave it an "OK" rating. Lots of fries, though...and they are my favorite breaded type of fries. I'll probably stop by again sometime to just to quickly grab a big serve of tasty fries at a good price. As a local, now that I've tried it, I might go back to try the salmon tacos or one or two of the other items on the menu. I will recommend it to out-of-towners and tourists as a "can't lose" place to get some good Alaskan fish tacos. TL-DR - Good halibut tacos, good and friendly service, prices a bit high IMO (but justified by the food and ingredients). I'm a harder-to-impress local, but I would definitely recommend it to visitors as a "can't lose" Alaskan taste. read more

I'm SO glad I had done some research before coming to town so I knew to keep my eye out for this place. It never would have just caught our eye to know we needed to stop. We ordered the 3 fish taco sampler with halibut, rockfish, and salmon tacos. We also got a halibut cake to try. These are probably the best fish tacos we've ever had - for my boyfriend the salmon was the favorite, and for me the halibut. The halibut cake was just ok to me, but he loved it.
