Prime NY Strip 16 oz Chateau Mashed Potatoes Grilled Asparagus Honey Butter Bread

We dined at Del Frisco's in Seaport for a birthday and had a very good experience there. Seated right along the water, the views of the harbor are top notch. Our waiter was very friendly, accomodating, attentive, and professional. The bread starter was fantastic, rich and dripping with butter. The Chateau mashed potatoes were amazing and definitely the highlight of the evening. I give our experience a 4/5 only because our steaks were overcooked. But, still delicious.

I really hate giving bad reviews but this was unfortunately deserved. Food overall was not the best. It tasted all very average. The best dish was the crab cake. The steak barely had salt. The mashed potatoes had too much black pepper, that's all you tasted. It's odd because the food runner served mashed on everyone's plate as opposed to leaving on the table with the rest of the sides? Everything else very much mid. Let's rewind, As we sat down, there was a MOUSE by our table on the deck. Strike 1. Strike 2, drinks weren't the best. We had a great server who tried to bring us a new one but it still wasn't too great. Strike 3, we called ahead and asked if we could bring a cake. They said sure. We brought it, gave it to the staff. They brought it out for us with no silverware or plates. Thinking this was an honest mistake I went to ask for some and I was informed we couldn't cut or eat the cake in the restaurant due to health code issues? Hmmm...not sure how much health code issues were of importance with the mouse running around. But overall my experience was 0/10. Would not recommend.

Parking: lots of garages in waterfront Decor: typical for older steakhouses with dark paneling Food: very good bordering on excellent...if they only knew how to season a steak or prime rib Staff: a little slow on the drink refills Price: average for waterfront, dinner for 9 ppl just under a thousand

May 2025; romantic ambiance with upbeat music playing. The waitstaff provided excellent customer service. Food was good - the drinks will make the food taste even better. Great place to celebrate birthdays and graduations. Located in the shopping mall.

Del Frisco hit all the marks for me. I do not have a location near me but while looking at travel videos this steakhouse came across my feed. We decided to make a reservation for lunch as they have a great lunch deal for 38 bucks a person. The place is pretty empty at lunch so the dress code was a little less casual than dinner. Our server was great and gave us recommendations. We started with the crab cake recommendation and then we ordered the filet medallion lunch. Everything that came to our table was cooked perfectly and was delicious. I really liked the bread they served complimentary. This should be a standard for more upscale steakhouses. If you're looking for a lunch option and want to spend a few bucks more for quality I highly recommend.

Has anyone been since Covid and sat outside? How was the service and ambience? Also, with rain expected this weekend, are there umbrellas or a tarp? thank You

When we went last weekend we sat outside. There were not umbrellas but the outside is totally shaded in the evening so it wasn’t needed. The service was Ok. I did write a review on yelp with our issues. The heaters are not working at the moment.…

Is here dog allowed? Thank you!

I would doubt it, its pretty formal.

Has anyone dined in the Harbor Room? Please tell me your thoughts! Was it a prime location in the restaurant? It looks opulent and inviting online!

Harborview room is private dining only. It is, to me, the prettiest dining spot in the city. You pay a set price for the room; that amount goes towards food and beverage consumption.

You're most likely be sharing a table with other diners. The mussels in a spicy flavorful red sauce were cooked perfectly. They only came with 2 small pieces of grilled bread. If you like to dunk your bread and soak up all the yummy broth, ask for more bread when you order. The fries dipped in there are also really good! Lobster roll was delicious and juicy on a buttery brioche bun. So much lobster! And the fries are so crispy and salty! My friend ordered the North End Cioppino that comes in a rice spicy brodo with clams, mussels, shrimp, and 2 types of fish (I forget what they were). The broth was ok and the whole shrimp was a chore to eat. The mussel sauce would've been better. Note: one small dark bathroom at end of bar Parking is very hard to find as most are resident. It was Friday afternoon into evening so makes sense. We came back late night around 9:30pm and waited for like 5 minutes before being seated. The place is small. You're basically sharing dinner with the stranger next to you with how close you're sitting. Thankfully our strangers were cool lol. We tried a variety of oysters, cocktail shrimp, and the razor clams which we heard were amazing. All I'm gonna say is, I would have been annoyed if I waited in line for hours for the items we got. The cocktail shrimp was decent - it was a good size, juicy, and delicious. The razor clams were a miss. Rubbery and too many other things in the dish overshadowing the clams. We got two different kinds of fresh clams which my husband said were okay. I'm not a fan of fresh clams. The oysters were good, but after having been to Row 34, I can't justify standing in line for oysters in a place that doesn't have much else worth trying.

The sauce was pretty complex flavor wise and was a delight to have. The meatballs were also delicious and we loved how everything went so well together. After we finished our appetizer, we were brought bread which we used to sop up the rest of the sauce. It was delicious. For our entrees, we got the swordfish and the aglio olio with scallops. Wow. This was my first time trying swordfish, but it was delicious and however they cooked broccoli rabe made me actually like it! It was so good. The aglio olio...tastes even better than it looks. SO good and such a massive portion. I got to ball out on leftovers the next day. The scallops were perfectly seared and went so welll with the pasta. It was so fun have calamari and garlic bits in the pasta...the calamari in it was truly unique. Thinking about this dinner is making my mouth water and making me hungry. The Daily Catch (original North End location)…read more This is the original Daily Catch, opened in 1973 by Paul Freddura in a tiny Hanover Street storefront. He started by frying local squid and calling it calamari at a time when most Bostonians still treated it as bait. In 1979 he and Maria turned the space into the Calamari Café, added an open kitchen, and began serving Sicilian-style seafood and pasta directly in the pan. More than fifty years later the same family still runs the place, and the original room remains deliberately small, cash-only, and first-come, first-served. I came twice in a row for the Monkfish Marsala over squid-ink pasta and would happily return for a third. The dish is rich, properly seasoned, and the black pasta holds the sauce without turning gummy. Unless your party fills an entire table you will almost certainly share with other diners. Dining alone the last couple of nights, I ended up talking with people from all over who were also in Boston on vacation. The shared tables add to the experience if you are open to it. There is nearly always a line outside. It is worth the wait. Be patient, bring cash, and watch the cooks work the pans right in front of you. This is still one of the most honest and flavorful seafood rooms in the North End. From what I understand, there's now a couple other locations; even one in Pasadena, CA...! I may eventually try the others, but the OG location always has a special place in my heart!
