Delicious dinner! Came with friends for dinner. I split the aged rib eye and other friend got the filet mignon. Both were outstanding! For a steakhouse, I ironically preferred the seafood options and would love to come back just to try things off the dessert menu. Service was also great. We came here for Christmas dinner. It was a mixed experience. Party of 3. It seemed busy when we arrived, it took a few minutes to get us seated. We were dining upstairs. It was slightly chilly. As we walked to our table, it was obvious the "strict dress code" wasn't enforced. We were seated and soon greeted by our pleasant server. She made suggestions. My husband and I both ordered the same cocktail that was a pick of hers, it did not disappoint. The bread came out fresh and warm, and had an icing glaze of honey butter. Ordered a shrimp cocktail for starters. Calling it shrimp is an oxymoron, they were huge! Things went a bit downhill after that. We placed our orders, and it took a long time. Our server apologized, saying it got really busy and the kitchen was a bit backed up. Perhaps this was true, but a couple tables around us had finished and left, and many were not occupied from the start, but okay, I will muster my Christmas spirit here...it was a holiday. When my steak arrived, the piece of meat slapped on the plate alone without even a spring of parsley for garnish, looked pathetic. The portion seemed correct, was cooked how I asked, but I cut into it, and it texturally resembled something akin to Salisbury steak. It tasted perfunctory at best. The whipped potatoes tasted good, but the portion wasn't abundant. Couple of other issues needed correcting too. All in all, I felt as though this restaurant was trying to pass as an upscale place, and for the price, it should be, but fell short. My wife chose the 6oz New York strip, salmon and lobster tail. Very great value and the food was fantastic. I chose the 24oz bone in rib-eye and it was one of the best ribeyes I have ever had . For the sides we can't recommend the lobster mac and au gratin potatoes enough. They will be what we get every time. The broiled crab was just "ok" for us. It was good but I think we would have preferred it chilled instead of broiled. It had an odd smoky flavor that over powered the crab. You may like it but it's something we will pass on next time. Wow great spot for some good food! Valet parking is $5. We sat on the patio which had heaters and tvs. The service is great. All the wait staff all work together to make sure you are taken care of. One of my friends got the mashed potatoes and they were really tasty with a lot of flavor. My boyfriend and I shared the porter house, Cesar salad, and asparagus. Porterhouse was okay, but nothing special. Cesar salad had no flavor. Asparagus was awful. I didn't know you could go wrong with asparagus. We should have just ordered the calamari and call it a day. We got there at 7:45 and didn't leave until almost 11 and not because of good conversations...we didn't get our main entrees until almost 10:30. My friend had to remind the waiter that we had been waiting for our food. There were 8 of us, but still... I don't mind paying $$$$ for good food, but this was not the case. Let me start off by saying our waiter did a fabulous job considering it was busy. I ordered my steak medium and it came out rare and not warm at all. I sent it back and it came rare again and not warm! They also came back and said they would comp a dessert to-go because my waiter and the manager both mentioned my steak looked very under-cooked.
