Now this, is a real steakhouse. Shoutout to our waitress who provided my friend and I with the most comforting and lovely experience. I came here on my birthday for dinner and was blown away by every single dish I had. The bread was hot, fresh & topped with a sweet butter. It was amazing. I started my evening off with a wedge salad, it was crisp, fresh and perfectly topped to my liking. Not too much bacon, not too much bleu cheese & a good amount of ranch. Since it was my birthday, I ordered a bone in aged rib-eye steak cooked medium (100% recommend for those with large appetites like myself). This was one of the best cuts of steak I have ever had, the flavor was perfect & I was more than satisfied with the side dishes. I had asparagus with mashed potatoes which was nicely plated by our waitress. For dessert, the house gave me a butter cake with vanilla ice cream, delicious as well. I could not of imagined a more perfect meal for my birthday. I really can't believe I haven't written a review for this restaurant as often as I have been here. Here is what I come here for: The Butter Cake. Hello, thank you God for blessing me. This cake is so freaking delicious- it's a sin and a blessing at the same time. I don't know how they get it so crispy and crunchy on the outside, and so moist on the inside - but that's not my business. That is their business and they are running it well by keeping this desert on the menu. And it's topped with cold, pecan ice cream, and drizzled with caramel. Beauty is your name. Beauty and succulence. The Crab Fried Rice and Sea Bass. When I say good, you say - Yes! I don't care how corny that was ... just know this is what I am eating when I come here, this is what you should be eating too. I mean, I order this and it's not even on the menu. It's crazy that I've been to so many resturants but kept missing this very popular steakhouse. Well I finally gave it a try for my besties birthday. The parking is understandable because it's the galleria. Park in the garage for free and walk or be temporarily lazy like me and valet..its 13.00. The ambiance is very nice and professional with all the holiday cheer. All of the staff was very nice. Our waitress knew the menu up and down and was able to spill out all the off menu items which was very helpful. She was on point with her customer service especially with it being a busy night. I forgot her name though. First look at the menu I started off mad. . Why is the side car 36.00!!! I don't care that you use 1738.. give me my Hennessey! Needless to say I ended up with a strawberry lemon drop that was very strong cause I couldn't do it! The food was very good. Not Amazing compared to other steak houses but very good! If I go back I am getting that bacon and then twice baked truffle potatoes (just need a little slap your mama).... they were Awesome! I was also loved the calamari, shrimp, mushrooms, and crab cake. My husband and I came here with our friends right after our wedding and the ambiance was amazing and the staff was very nice. I would overall give this place a 9/10. The food is amazing and worth the price! The crust on the steak is so good, there is a good amount of lobster in there lobster Mac n cheese, and the beginning bread is so soft and tasty. This gets a 4 star because this is the second year we have gone for Houston Restaurant Weeks and the second year they haven't given us the menu. They seem to not want to participate which is odd since it's a choice to do it. Our waitress this time was a little slow too. Like almost 10 minutes to get water and our bread basically came out with the appetizer. I also think their wine list is also overpriced. All in all, great food but service could be better read more

DELICIOUS!!!!! A group of us came here after shopping on a recommendation from a friend. Even though I don't eat poultry or beef they had plenty of vegetarian and seafood options for me. I had the sea bass and crab fried rice along with the asparagus. Excellent!!! The crab fried rice was amazing!! I should have ordered some to go. Friends of mine ordered the other things pictured in my review. Both of my friends that had steaks said they were seasoned very well and "cooked to perfection". The lobster trio was the perfect amount of each item to fill satisfied. The lobster Mac and cheese stole the show though. I think all four of us loved that! And the oysters were really good too. We should have gotten more. We got so full we didn't get dessert but they did have some good dessert options as well. Usually when I come to an upscale restaurant, the starting item sets the tone. This tends to be the bread. The bread is usually fresh, warm, moist, and uniquely tasty. This wasn't the case here. The bread didn't seem fresh nor was it warm. We had to request that it be taken back, however, when it came back it was slightly warmer than before but still wasn't tasty. The cream spinach was yum. It was very flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ribeye was okay. It seemed like it was missing seasoning on portions that wasn't the fatty part of the ribeye. But, the fatty part was very scrumptious! For the brussel sprouts, I'm generally not a fan of this vegetable but, it was okay as well. This was my second time visiting. My first time, I had an amazing experience and everything was delicious, but that was yearrssss ago. Not certain what changed. read more

I never write reviews and having been in the service industry for many years, I'm very patient when it comes to bad experiences but this place left me so angry. I would rate this place a 0 if I could. One star because the food is actually good. We came for a friend's birthday party of 12 people, met the minimum spend of $1500 for a private room and was still charged a banquet fee of $63. We brought in a cake for the birthday girl and was charged a $50 cutting fee even though our server didn't even cut the cake. If you're going to charge such an absurd amount to bring in a cake, let us know before hand. I've been to many upscaled restaurants and steak houses and have no issue with spending $500 for 2 people and have never been charged a cake cutting fee before. Drinks took 25 minutes. Ordered 2 rounds and both times took that long. Appetizers took 25 minutes. Our server only asked for our entree orders once we were finished with our appetizers so entrees took another 40-45 minutes. We sat down at 8:15 and left after 11, restaurant closes at 10. We got our entrees at 10. Asked our server to bring out the cake which took another 20 minutes. Asked for togo boxes and the check which took another 20 minutes for each item. There's no reason for dinner to take almost 3 hours on a Wednesday when the restaurant wasn't even packed and after closing, there was only one other table. Our server was hard to find. With the premium prices that the restaurant is charging, service should be better than that. Save your money and go elsewhere with better service. There are many good steakhouses in the Houston area. Big steakhouse in the Galleria Mall with an elegant vibe. We got the prime ribeye medium rare & sea bass with mashed potatoes and lobster Mac & cheese, and chicken genders with fries for our toddler. The food was decent but we weren't as blown away like in the past especially for the money you spend there. The service was good but I didn't feel as welcomed as you would in other steakhouses. I was immediately questioned about my stroller which was necessary due to my young infant with me. Sea Bass was great accompanied by the best lobster macaroni ever! We also had the blue cheese wedge salad which was delicious and an order of incredible scallops! The flavor was amazing! All with great drinks and the best warm buttery rolls. It was a splendid dinner! Had a party of 10 and everyone was pleased with their delicious meals! One suggestion to the chef is that the scallops meal, which were perfectly cooked and were flavorful, was too plain on the plate. It needed more presentation. In my opinion, I reccomend add a little bit of something else to the plate. I understand everything is a la cart, but maybe decorate the plate with pieces of lettuce or something green. Or maybe a small scoop of rice. Just an opinion, so the scallops don't look too empty and lonely on the plate. For a $60 meal, you want to see a little bit more of color and presentation! Nicholas delivered excellent service by providing additional information on menu items, making recommendations and ensuring everything was up to par. We had the broiled oysters and lobster bisque for start. The oysters were flavor packed and the bisque superb (one of the best bowls I've ever had). Next, were the Colorado lamb rack, the bone in steak topped with crab cake --with the lobster Mac, creamed corn and au gratin potatoes. Our entrees were cooked to perfection; I initially had my doubts about the pistachio crust on the lamb but this added great texture (something I didn't realize I needed)! The only thing that had me raising one brow was the au gratin potatoes which fell short compared to all the remaining dishes. We were so full by dessert time but couldn't help our curiosity when Nicholas mentioned the banana bread pudding. It was the perfect way to end our night. Del Frisco's is usually one of our favorite places! Recently, we had an experience that was off setting and will probably not return. We went to celebrate our anniversary. Food overall is good, appetizers and desserts were the better courses of our meal. Our steaks didn't come cooked to the right temperature. My husband had to send his back and it took a while to have it prepared again, my steak was COLD by the time his came out. It was unfortunate that we didn't really eat anniversary dinner together and enjoy it while we finally got a sitter and were out. Pretty disappointed in Del Friscos. Server didn't acknowledge the small things like refreshing drinks in a timely manner. Bar closed by the time we wanted a 2nd round. 1 of our sides didn't come out until we asked for it. First of all, it was like spring break at the bar. People who didn't even look old enough to drink and not dressed appropriately at all. Then, a woman comes in to sit at the bar, who it appeared may work there because everyone who was working flocked to her. Okay, that's fine, but she was obviously drunk. First she kept trying to shove a $100 bill at this man who seemed to be the manager on duty. Then, she was walking to another part of the restaurant....tripped, dropped her phone and spilled her drink all over the floor. They had a Mother's Day special, but we didn't think it was worth it. For an appetizer, we got oysters & they were actually good but small. The dinner rolls they provide are okay, much better when it comes out hot! We decided to get two orders of the Tomahawk for 2 which comes with 2 sides. Also, the sea bass and lobster bisque. With the Tomahawk, we ordered lobster Mac & cheese with potatoes au gratin. They actually got it wrong and gave us mash potatoes however they quickly fixed it for us. We also got the asparagus and mash potatoes and it was all very well seasoned. The Tomahawks were honestly very good. Seasoned perfectly & cooked just how we liked it (medium rare). We were very impressed with the size and taste. The sea bass was great & cooked nicely. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the lobster bisque. It tasted almost burnt.. for some odd reason. Atmosphere: beautiful staircase with dark wood. A classic steak house. My friend said the stair case is like the movie Titanic. LOL. There is a bar where you can dine if your solo or just two people. Service: Very good service my only experience was the bar tender. He was great. I had to order to go, but my friends continued to dine there. Food: My filet and as delicious and cooked perfectly even though it was takeout. Sometimes food gets over cooked when you order takeout but not here. I also ordered half mashed potatoes. Visited Houston on business and had one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Beautiful crust, cooked to a perfect medium rare and it just melted in your mouth. I waited to write this review. I really didn't want to give this restaurant three stars, but the customer service helped out. I came here years ago when it was under different ownership (according to other reviewers.) I was honestly apprehensive to come back. My husband set reservations for my birthday and coming here was a total let down. The food was honestly subpar. They messed up my husband's steak twice and eventually gave it to him for free. Their knives were extremely dull and didn't help when it came to cutting either. The quality of food has definitely gone down. Our server was Tyler, he was very kind and attentive. The manager that checked on us was kind and apologetic about the steak. The customer service was excellent, it's the kitchen that needs help. The only constructive comment I have is the place kind of smells like a cafeteria if that makes any sense, and the smell is pervasive unless you're in the back group room where it's a little better. This was my husband & I's first time to Del Friscos. We celebrated our 6th anniversary dinner here and could not have had a more wonderful experience. Our customer service was absolutely phenomenal, Tyler & Taylor were both lovely & made sure we were well taken care of. The sweet card & Roses made my night & the food was INCREDIBLE!! My nephew has an allergy to cashews and pistachios... who knew. I have been to Chilis where they have asked if there are any allergies in the party and I'm like nope, all good. So my nephew eats his Caesar salad which has no cashews or pistachios in it "supposedly" which on paper doesn't but my sister in-law looks further into and, guess what, another salad just happens to have Cashew oil. He has an allergic reaction in the restaurant and we rush him to the nearest pharmacy. So Aaron, the manager, says "why didn't you tell us about his allergies". MF why didn't you ask?
