I've been to Dela Rosa a few times over the years since its opening at City Center and it's been one of those "it's decent, but I might not jump to make this my first place to frequent" kind of places because it's not the cheapest place. However, after having a large group gathering (16) here recently, I feel like it was such a great experience this time that I'm finally going to leave them a review. They technically say they will max at 12 a table but we were able to squish 16 in. The downside about it is their table is very long and it's hard to converse with so many people at such a long table and that's just the nature of large gatherings. But we were all impressed by how fast our food and pizza came out! We thought pizza would take awhile but literally all the food came out almost together. Our servers were attentive and accommodating to our large group, and the food was really great! drink: Winter sangria--delicious! Couldn't tell there was alcohol tbh lol but I like drinks like that! App: fritto misto--actually quite a good blend of fried seafood and breaded veggies! I really liked the shishito peppers actually Burrata bruschetta (I remember this in the past was good!) Cauliflower--I also remember this in the past as a good one! Salad: we got mixed greens and beet salad and both were good. The mixed greens had a lovely accent of grapes and pears and the beet salad was hearty Pasta: linguine with shrimp (forget the Italian name sorry!) this was my fav of the night! You can tell the pasta is handmade and I could eat this all by myself! Also got the funghi pasta which was dense with yummy mushrooms but more heavy for sure Pizza: margherita with burrata, funghi pizza, and a sausage pizza All were great but maybe ask if they can slice it smaller for a larger group to share. These pizzas are floppy, thin, but yummy. Fold them up to eat! All in all, after this experience, i have this renewed outlook and I quite liked it! I would come back again for more! The ambiance & dining experience we had kind of gave me fast food vibes. Really bummed to have to leave this review on a place that was a family favorite for us. We decided to dine there for my sisters birthday last night and it was a huge bummer of an experience. I checked us in for a party of 6 (two toddlers) at 6:10pm. I let the hostesses know that the table update text messages never come through so we would be in the corner of the waiting area if they need to tell us our table is ready. They said it would be a 45 min wait so naturally, I checked in at the half hour mark and they said it would be another 20..... Another 20 went by and they said it would be another 15, at this point, the toddlers were getting restless. After more time passed, one of the hostesses said our table was ready and to follow her. So we gathered our coats and drinks to follow and then the other hostess whispered to her and suddenly our table was not ready and they needed a few more minutes....it was 7:30 by now. My sister, the birthday gal, finally went up and asked what the issue was and then I suppose the hostess decided to seat us. Well, they seated us and 30 mins later, no joke, I had to go up to the bar to give our food order. Then as I was finishing the order for our entire table, the server came to our table to take drink orders. The whole experience was such a disappointment and I could see that in my sisters face the entire night. Situated in the middle of The Bishop Ranch City Center, hungry shoppers can find refuge in this romantically and dimly lit restaurant. Delarosa consistently has pretty decent Italian food (definitely not the best though) and great service. I will say the prices are a bit steeper than the norm, but what can you expect given the prime location. We ordered the penne with chicken parm which we actually had to send back as the chicken was way too salty for consumption. The penne was great though with its velvety sauce and Al dente bite. The staff kindly allowed us to order the linguine in lieu of the chicken parm at no extra charge. The linguine was again pretty good. I ordered the winter chicory salad which was fresh for the most part (it had some wilted pieces) and delicious. The combination of tart apples, sweetened hazelnuts, piquant goat cheese, and bitter endives was incredible. Overall, the restaurant's not too shabby and probably one of the best Italian establishments in the Tri-Valley. It's not a must-try necessarily, but if you're craving Italian in this neck of the woods, Delarosa certainly is an option. read more

Visited delarosa for the first time. They had lots of seating inside and on either side outside. We sat in the sunnier outside area. Our server was very attentive and polite. Mostly quiet but got the job done. I ordered the chicken panini, the small chicory salad and my friend ordered the penne. The panini was good mostly. I didn't really care for how the chicken in it was prepared. The salad was very flavorful and tackled a lot of different textures and flavors. The panini came with an arugula salad as well. It was just arugula with light dressing. It was nice and fresh. The true stand out for me was the drinks. The drink was really tasty and refreshing. We had 5 different pizzas, all of them were thin crust and tasted pretty good. The most notable ones were the pizzas with meat surprisingly, and they were the Hot salami- This seemed like a regular pepperoni, which was absolutely delicious, you can never go wrong with pepperoni. The sauce was good, the salami was hitting right, and it made the pizza as a whole very complete. Fennel sausage- This tasted the best in my opinion. The fennel sausage had a good amount of flavor to it and worked really well with the green onions and sauce on the pizza. The flavor was subtle by itself, but when eaten as a whole bite in its entirety, every bite would be solid. For drinks I got the El diablo, the tequila and lime and ginger worked so well together it could've been dangerous. It didn't taste as strong and almost tasted like a juice. I would've ordered more if I didn't slowly start to feel it hitting me 5 minutes in. It had spicier elements to it due to the ginger which I actually loved because it tasted so different. The bathrooms are very tidy. They are gender neutral so don't be alarmed. The service was quick. Our food was out within 15 mins. The inside does not get too loud so you can still hold a convo with your party. The appetizers were great. We got the calamari, broccolini, artichoke dip, and burrata bruschetta to share. My third time at the San Ramon location. The first time we went with four people and the entrées all came at different times and within five minutes of being served our appetizer. Second time back same issue. Third time back and the last time I will ever go back. Entrées arrived 10 minutes apart. When done with our meal We sat for 17 minutes, yes, I counted, with empty drinks, no bill to pay, and nobody even acknowledging us. Got up twice to ask for our bill and to go box. I finally went and fetched the box myself. Such a great location, but the service is consistently poor.
