The food here is fresh and absolutely delicious! This review of 1 star is purely for their customer service. I ordered a cake days in advance and when I went to pick it up I was told they couldn't make it because they ran out of ingredients. The bakery has my name and phone number and should have called me in advance to let me know this was the case. Instead, I don't find out until I show up and they take it as an opportunity to sell me something else. I was shocked! While I was there, I saw another customer who received an incorrect cake. The customer waited over an hour and a half to get a cake he pre-ordered days in advance, and it was wrong. They attempted to fix it for him but the second attempt was wrong too. Unfortunately no one here apologizes for making mistakes. Sorry is not in their vocabulary. They don't seem very detail oriented at all which is important when ordering a cake. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

Tasty mini tarts, convenient for a potluck at work, but it is over-priced for what you get. It cost $34.31 for the mini-tarts you see in the photo attached and a quiche the size of my palm. The food was very tasty! The French toast was probably my favorite! For this spot to be Kosher, everything was surprisingly yummy! I do wish I could've added the vegan sausage to my shashuka but they ran out. Also wish the shashuka had a bit more spice/salt but nothing that I couldn't just add on my own. I'll definitely be back!! Also, if you haven't tried their croissants or smoked salmon quiche, do yourself a favor and try it! read more

Delice was the sixth and final stop on our little self-made hamantaschen tasting tour of LA, and admittedly, we were a little burned out on hamantaschen. (Who knew it would be possible??) but we powered through. It's a cute bakery and they have a lot of outdoor seating. Service was friendly. Delice had the most variety of flavors (though less than what was advertised on their website) and only had the smaller size available. We tried three flavors--chocolate, custard, and strawberry. The custard one was my least favorite. I took a bite and threw the rest away. Strawberry was pretty good. And chocolate was fine, but nothing amazing. Horrible service, almost unimaginably so. Unnecessarily stressed us out and even threatened us immediately before a major life event, and harassed some of our guests. The desserts are fine, but not cheap and not worth the experience. We ordered desserts for a big event. The owner told us how important it was to have the cake arrive within two hours of serving it to maintain freshness. The order arrives hours early. We call them to ask about this - if it was so important to serve within a couple hours, why deliver hours early? They say they're going to take the desserts back and re-deliver them. On a hot day, from the trunk of a car, not a delivery van. We say, no thanks, we'll hang onto them and hopefully they're still good, instead of sending them out into the heat repeatedly to just get redelivered, and that we hope they're still good vs almost definitely being spoiled by exposure to the heat. They freak out, start calling repeatedly, send the driver to ring the door bell and then harass us and guests as they arrive. They threaten a family member that they're going to call the police. Horrible. The good news... The cake was fine. The bad news - service couldn't have been worse. Will not go back here, and thought this experience was worth sharing. read more

Where to begin. I took my toddler here in the late morning and had a terrible experience. Fire their prices are outrageous, $13 for avocado toast? So I chose a bagel with cream cheese and vanilla latte. Vanilla latte was way too sweet and tasted cheap like they use dollar tree sweetener. Their bagel, plain bagel to be exact was terrible also. It was $6.50 so I expected it to be very good but it wasn't. Cream cheese tasted old and disgusting. Costco has better bagels than them. Service was okay. Their tables outside were so dirty also. I come here often for the Tunisian sandwich. Everytime I come, the resteraunt says they don't have an ingredient from the sandwich. This time it was the preserved lemon Last time it was the potato Each time their out of something. So at least tell ur customer u can't serve the sandwich since you don't have all the ingredients I ate it again today. And the pesto tasted like MOLD.-the guy acknowledged it is not fresh. The red Harrisa that comes with the sandwich was BEYOND spoiled. And who knows if the tuna is old, too. The cashier kept arguing with me about the harrisa being old, like wow! If this resteraunt wants business I highly urge them to STOP selling SPOILED/rotten food and to NEVER argue with a customer. I'm going to leave 5 stars, even because the experience was more like 4 stars; because the owner was so nice. I had a really stressful week and needed a pretty last min cake for my son's 2nd bday. I didn't really have the time or bandwidth to search for photos of what I wanted (safari baby animals) and I wasn't that picky. I deferred all creative control to the owner, who took my order. I even had one weird request (to add oranges to a safari theme- somewhere? anywhere? In addition to being a complete gentleman, the owner assured me he understood my vision and could execute the assignment. He very quickly went over some flavor options (I was RUSHED for time) and helped me choose the most delightful vanilla with custard and fresh strawberry, cake. The cake was the perfect size. The price was more than fair for size and quality. The order process was easy. The design was cute and the oranges were somehow incorporated :) and most importantly, it was freaking DELICIOUS! I mean a hit with everyone from the 2 yr old bday boy, to my 75 yr old parents. EVERYONE wanted more. Love that it's parve! Will be ordering my bday cake from here next month. Highly recommend!! Delice Bakery goes well beyond just kosher pastries. I just had the most wonderful celebration in my home that Delice catered for the occasion. I met with Dallia two days before and we prepared the perfect light dinner for my 20-25 guests. I went with handcut sandwiches (Tunisian with harisa cucumber and caper, salmon with dill, and min-caprese) half on baguette and half as mini-navettes that were plentiful stacked 3 high on a platter and quickly gobbled. The menu also included delicious mini egg salad croissant sandwiches that went fast, too. I also put out a fragrant and very flavorful Mediterranean salad with greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, kalamata olive, feta cheese and sliced almonds with balsamic vinaigrette. And what's an occasion without cut fruit--fresh and bountiful and beautifully served on a large platter--strawberries, blueberry's watermelon, cantalope, orange slices! And finally, the pièce de résistance, was a Delice specialty cake and top seller--1/4 sheet Napoleon--and hear this, the portraits of the honored guests were scanned onto the caramelized nougatine top layer and fused with 3 layers of chocolate sponge alternating with chocolate mouse. Two pounds of assorted cookies followed and the celebration and feast was over by 11pm. No photos of the trays--I wasn't fast enough; but a nice photo of the cake at time of presentation. Chocolate croissant was good as well. Brioche with cream and chocolate had a nice flavor but was stale. sat in outdoor area and breakfast brought to me. Eggs were medium and quite brown on bottom - really overcooked. Hashbrowns were quite overdone. I like them on the crisp side but these were inedible as they were just complete crunch. No butter or jam served with baguette as advertised but was brought when asked for. The butter package was sticky and had something stuck on it. The salad dressing was quite good. I debated getting up and bringing it all back inside and asking for it to be remade but if the chef and server weren't embarrassed to serve it maybe this is the norm for them. read more

The almond croissant was PHENOMENAL and fresh but chocolate croissant I got tasted very bland (barely any chocolate inside also it has chocolate chips not those sticks which is way better) and VERY STALE & CHEWY not crunchy at all :( it tasted like it was from the day before.
