Can I just say that Anita made an it an awesome experience today. We are a group of 7 from NYC in for 2 nights and came out to Dennys for breakfast. Food was decent I'll say that and the building it's self was really cool it was definitely an old diner before hand but the environment / service was so bad it made me write my first Yelp review ever. Everyone there seemed miserable especially our waitress. As a fellow waitress it was very disappointing. If I didn't have depression before I went I definitely do now I almost walked out. People usually go to Denny's on weekends to end their night but it ruined mine. Took forever to get water and our food sat in the ready window for a long while when the place was practically empty. Also ants on the table? We got to stare at a full table of dirty dishes when it was so slow it could've been dealt with in a few minutes I regret not taking a picture. We typically go to this Denny's location for breakfast. They have recently remodeled, which has added to the pleasant dining experience. All the wait staff are nice and efficient but Azza is outstanding. She is very warm and welcoming and makes us feel like family. She is very attentive and professional. We usually asks to sit in her section. The cook's don't get enough credit, but they do a great job, as well. I've never had a bad meal...Good crew all the way around! read more

Terrible!!!!! We came in to order and waited about ten minutes to be seen and taken to our seats. Once we finally got seated the waitress came after about five minutes and got our drink order and food order since we already knew what we wanted to eat. We sat there for about forty minutes until we asked our waitress how long it would be for our food and she went to the back and said that the kitchen crew would not answer her. Which was code for she did not put our order in. So we told her to cancel our order. Then she said they had a lot of to go orders that came in and she was sorry. So we went home and placed an online order. It said it would take about 20 minutes so we came back. When we came back they was just finishing up on the online order. This Denny's is located just off I-64 on the Corner of Battlefield & Volvo. It looks like a. 50's Diner, so you can't miss it. I rarely go to Denny's. This night I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great. The food was hot. The variety of selection was appealing to everyone in the family. I was amazed to see the lasagna come out just like Mom's. Ok just like Mom intended. Olive Garden lasagna vs Denny's. Denny's Wins! I know, surprising. Breakfast food was what you want it to be. Hot. Made to Order. Better than you would do yourself or at least equal. Clean. Went to breakfast at 1:30 am it was very busy we had to seat ourselves and it took about 30 Minutes to get our drinks. THE waitress took our order and it took about 31/2 to recieve our meal. After taking so long the waitress questioned the manager as to why all other order were Being prepared before hers. He said he was pulling them in order,I sat and watched him pull the tickets and even when she questioned him he called my tickets 6 times in 20 minutes but never peocessed the order. The service sucks would not refer this location to anyone. I've posted a bad review here before quite a few months ago, but the manager reached out to me and was very apologetic for the terrible service. So, we decided to give it another go. Wrong decision. We were warned walking in that the food orders were backed up approximately 30 minutes. They warned us, so there's that. I ordered the fit fare and our waitress confused it with the fit slam. When she brought out the fit slam, I asked what it was. She explained it was the fit slam and when I said I wanted the fit fare, she said that she had assumed I meant the fit slam. No. If I wanted the fit slam, I would have said FIT SLAM, not FIT FARE. She put it in and it came back fairly quick. Props to whomever cooked it, and it was yummy. Our waitress was Christina M. and at first it was a bit busy so we understood the lack of attention, but towards the end of our 1 hour and 45 minute stay at this Denny's, it was considerably slow and we didn't get refills and had to wait nearly 30 minutes for our bill. When we asked about our bill 15 minutes into our waiting period, she said it was taking so long because she had to take the fit slam off. Doing so apparently takes 30 minutes. We even heard another waiter talking to some customers and explaining that it was slow because the cooks were running behind. We waited forever and saw approximately 5 or so waitresses walking around outside on break. Bad service and a rude waitress. We gave this Denny's 2 tries, and that's it. We will never return, and nor will our family. We've all had terrible service here, so be warned patrons - eat elsewhere and save yourself the trouble. read more

Went on a Friday night and have to say that it was just okay. Decor was actually impressive for me. Reminds me of an older Jersey diner. Ordered the Lumberjack Slam. Eggs were cooked properly (over easy), meats were cooked right. I didn't like the fact that the waitress microwaved the syrup, usually it's heated differently. Now my main problem...when you ask for sriracha you don't want sriracha mayo, you want sriracha. Will I be back? Probably not. Food was okay but not something that I'll come back for. read more

Came here to have breakfast with the family . Everything seemed to go good , wait wasn't long considering it was a Sunday only had to wait 20 minutes for a table . Server was nice and took our orders quick and got our beverages within 5-10 min which we thought we would not have to wait so long for food . After we ordered literally took an hour an half just for the server to continue to tell us that food was almost ready . People waiting in line with several booths available . Denny's is a strange place to eat at, because you rarely ever choose to eat there- you essentially just wind up at one, especially if you're extremely tired, craving something specific, or with an elder in tow. I've been to this location twice, despite it being so close to my house, because it's... well, it's Denny's. I'd rather not eat strange things while children are screaming in the background and with ditzy servers. First time I came (craving an omelette- the Ultimate Omelette isn't too bad, by the way), we had to wait at least thirty minutes to be seated, even though they were seating people that arrived after us before us (with the same amount of people in our party). The waiter was kind though the service was slow, the tea was bland and children kept screaming, but it wasn't a terrible experience. Second time I went was the morning after a big party of sorts, exhausted and craving eggs of varying sorts. No wait this time, but the table wasn't as clean as it could be, the waitress was ditzy (even forgetting refills... constantly), the omelette wasn't as great as the first time, but the lemonade I got was alright... until the machine broke down. And children continued to scream in the background. I recommend only going to Denny's if you're exhausted, hungover, with elders, or really craving something specific. Also. They don't put salt and pepper on their eggs. You have to add it yourself. read more

Came in for a family breakfast at 11:30 on Saturday. We were meeting there so my grandmother was already sat when we got there. The service was beyond slow it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our food took twice as long and mine seemed to be overcooked on one side and under on the other almost like they didn't flip it. I realize Dennys isn't like a high end restaurant but geez my eggs were so overcooked I couldn't even eat them. The waiter, David, was very friendly and personable. David was attentive and had refills served before we knew we were in need of one. He also made sure we had everything we needed. Most restaurants have to decide between having either a crappy, rude, slow staff or crappy food. This Dennys manages to do both consistently. Doesn't matter when you go in, who is working, or how busy the store is. The waitstaff and front end people will be rude to you then your food will take about 90 minutes to come out and taste like crap. Not Dennys in general, just this specific location. read more

The presentation of the place driving by looks like an old diner and looked interesting. The wait time wasnt too long but the staff wasnt too attentive when tables were clearing. I ordered a slam burger with an extra patty, over easy egg and seasoned fries. and the waiter brought out two patties on a separate plate, on my actual plate they brought the burger with a patty, an over hard egg and crinkle cut fries. Although the food did not taste bad it wasn't what i wanted. I probably wont end up coming back here by choice. When I went to pay I asked them if they could please take off the seasoned fries which were only 0.49 since i received normal crinkle cut fries. They said that they would get the manager and have them take off the 0.49, they came back without the manager and said that the seasoned fries were on the table... Those were my friends fries who also ordered seasoned fries and a different burger that had siracha on it which was all over that plate. The fact that they accused me of lying over fries was ridiculous. Definitely will not be returning. read more

My experience matches all of the other poor reviews. Slow service. Sat at a dirty table, which took about 10 minutes to get cleaned so we could all sit. Lots of employees milling about, the place was not packed. I have no idea what's going on there. Took a good 15 for our server to take drink orders or say hi... turns out it was the lady who was right by us the whole time, and never acknowledged us. Food took so long that my husband joked about having to put in a change of address, haha. Food was not hot. Who likes cold pancakes? No syrup.. had to track someone down (not our server, she was illusive) for some. Salt and pepper shakers were empty. Toast was so cold and hard that it wasn't edible. My omelet was hot and good-- but came nearly 10 minutes after everyone else's cold food! This really good omelet earned this place a second star. We will not be back. If you go, don't go hungry. read more
