A while back I gave a low review on Dennys in Garden Grove. I have returned to the same spot and I have to say the place has improved 100%. Today our server by the name of Mayra was beyond excellence. She was friendly and with a welcoming smile. She got our order exactly how we ordered it including my partners hash browns, he's really picky how he likes them cooked. Just perfect service. We both ordered the 55+ Omelet and it was delicious. Stopped in here for breakfast this morning while in town visiting family, so glad this was the closest Dennys to the house. JUAN, was amazing one of the best servers we've ever had; fast, fun, friendly and a great up seller of delicious add ons for our meal. Our food was delivered as ordered with all our fixins and requests taken (crispy hashbrowns, sides of this and that) in to account. We were seated promptly and paying our bill was just as quick and friendly. First visit to this location in a long time for the family and our first visit but we'll add this to our lists of places to hit for dependable good Dennys food with excellent service! Only complaint...biscuit one of us ordered was really dense and not as fluffy as it should be, but everything has off moments :) read more

I've been coming to this Denny's location for years. I mostly come with my elderly mother after her medical appointments since she lives nearby and enjoys eating here. Most of the time we are lucky to be served by Mario, who always serves us with a smile and excellent, fast service. He even remembers the usual items we order, which makes the service even quicker. This girl working here is on Fire and she is cashier and hostess and server and only her and one other gal is working today. With 20 plus people waiting to be seated I can see why Denny's is the Hometown Favorite place to be on a Thursday afternoon or Lunch time crowd. The food is good and reasonably priced with large portions for growing kids and they have many delivery options too for all the busy family staying at home. I love their great service and the food here never disappoint because they are always consistent. ordered as I was close by in a hotel. they brought out my food. the drinks were in a cardboard tray. I told them I was walking. asked if the tray could be put in a bag. The food here is amazing as always way better than I can cook. And the environment was relaxing even though it was a busy morning, our server Mayra was on top of it making sure we were still getting attended too even though all of the tables were full. Was very disappointed by the lack of awareness and sense of urgency at this location. I walked into an empty restaurant expecting a quick service and meal but instead was welcomed to careless employees. Food was taking longer than usual, about 40mins even for an empty restaurant. I saw my partners omelette was siting on the window for about 10mins and when my skillet was up next to it, the servers were engaged in a conversation rather than doing their job. I for one do not enjoy a cold meal. Very disappointing, this location could use more caring and prompt workers. Will NOT be returning !! read more

What a terrible experience Our server did not bring us any water which is surprising. Every restaurant I go to, water is served alongside whatever drink you order. They were out of black tea so I asked for coffee and orange juice. After a long delay, the server brought me hot water with Orange flavored Teabag! I kindly asked for coffee and Orange juice again. I asked for more bacon instead of sausage links and also for my pancakes to be delivered later on because I like to enjoy them hot. After a long wait for our food, I got two bacon strips and two sausage links + the pancakes served same time as the food. Not to forget my food was cold. My partner never got a refill for his soda and after I asked for the manager to explain my terrible experience, she reluctantly said: "Okay, sorry" and got a refill for my partner. Great dining experience at 24hr restaurant. In my opinion; this is the best location in my area. Food was good as Denny's Standard The staffs are very friendly and attentive. Managers are great, especially Mr. Daniel Sanchez is an excellent manager. He helped other party to be seated, instead of waiting for the hostess. I saw him on the floor all the time, so I talked to him about food and service. He has great experience in food and beverage. He is very passionate about hospitality industry.
