I don't think I've had a truly terrible experience at Denny's... Until today! I walked in, I was the only one there... And I waited for eight minutes for anybody to even acknowledge that I was there. When they finally said something, it was across the room... So I had to yell to them that I wanted a table and that I was by myself. Finally I was seated and then I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited... I could actually see other employees wandering around... And anyone of them could've helped me, but they didn't. After about 25 minutes, yes... 25 minutes, I finally left. No more Denny's for me! I came to IHOP and I was seated right away and I was served right away ! Five stars for IHOP! read more

Typically I don't expect much from Denny's but I haven't given it a try in a year. They seemed to have a couple of different items on the menu and a cold brew that wasn't really my thing! However, our server Maria was great! She was very helpful and made some pretty good recommendations. I ended up getting the Santa Fe Skillet and it was yummy! The manager, Mr. Jose Medina goes out of his way to make all customers happy and satisfied with service. He is meticulous in making sure each and every customer is satisfied and leaves happy and satisfied. He is a first class manager/employee and is very gracious with all clients. I really enjoyed the service at this location. We got our drinks quickly, got our food quickly, and got our check quickly. I ordered the zesty nachos as an appetizer and what I received was a sorry excuse for a nacho because it barely had any chili on it so I paid extra for more chili. Whatever. Once I put the chili on the nachos everything tasted great. I got the Flamin' 5 burger which is my go to along with the Bourbon Burger, and it tasted like sandpaper. However, the seasoned fries were delicious as always. Overall, there were some good things, some things I was able to overlook, and some bad things about this location. Older Denny's that is on very busy Eastern. Always ask for the "$2,$4,$6,$8 Value Menu!" It's a bargain meal made quickly! I usually get the $4 meal with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon. One of my pet peeves with this location is the background music they play which is from the 1950's. It's like they think they're target market is folks one step from the grave! ;) Definitely recommend this place if you order off the value menu! read more

I am always blown away by the quality of the food at this Denny's. I think a few years ago Denny's as a chain was going a bit downhill. The corporation was smart enough to take a look at itself and see how it could improve. The quality of their menu has grown by leaps and bounds. I believe that they put a lot of work into that and it has paid off. The negative is that this particular location always has just one waitress for the entire dining room. The waitress that worked with us today was the same lady who was on staff the last time we came here. She's very efficient and does her job well, but it's obviously stressful for her to be the only person waiting on every single customer. A patron before us commented at the front register upon leaving that management desperately needs to hire more people. I would give the food here five stars, but have to take off one star because they are seriously short-handed. I don't know if they can't hire people or what the story is but this location need to seriously pay more attention to staffing. read more

Inconsistent food preparation and restaurant needs updating. Most of the time when I order the Bourbon Chicken it is made well with thick sauce and very tasty (my favorite). Twice now the sauce is watery which doesn't really soak into the vegetables and chicken. Little flavor compared when it's thick. When you go to a chain restaurant you expect consistency. It doesn't take much to thicken it. I brought my leftover home and added cornstarch to the sauce then added the veggies. Much better flavor! The sauce is soaked in. The seats in some of the booths have at least a 5-6" big tear in the middle. How can a restaurant like Dennys look so tacky and run down. The night I was there, there was only one waitress who not only had to take care of the people seated, she had to check people in and out (there was a line) while the manager sat in the office He/She should have been out there checking people in and out! If they don't care about the employee being overworked, at least care about the customers that had to wait! I'm going to try and go to another Dennys the next time which is a shame since this one is down the block from me. Very disappointed again in the food felt bad for the waitress. Ok, here goes my review for the for the location on 9320 S EASTERN AVE. I went with my friend who has been going for many years. We have tried MANY Denny's and for me, thought I finally found this one VERY comfortable. The renovations are spectacular, and the customer service is great! The food was fresh and hot BUT I found a Penny/coin in between my pancakes! They brought me new pancakes but the manager never came to apologize. The server was amazing! When I went to pay my bill (YES I paid it) I reminded the manager but he seemed distracted from other things going on in the restaurant. He said sorry and gave me a 20% card off my bill. I have the app and have MANY discounts including AARP. I am forever traumatized for the Penny. It could have cause a tooth fracture, germs/bacteria, or I could've swallowed the coin. I tried to be optimistic about the situation but, I am 50/50 about returning. If I do return here, I will sadly have to inspect my food from now on. Maybe this was a new manager but I'm in customer service over 29yrs and I would've offered the $6 meal free. Just an FYI for any future customers. Acknowledgement should be high priority. You have the option to have cheese on the hash browns, so I tried it. It was pretty good. The "Red-White-Blue" pancakes came with bananas, blueberries in the pancakes, strawberries, and a little frosting. I would have liked a little more frosting. I think they need to work on the presentation of the food. It could look a lot better and be more appealing to the customer. It appeared to be put together in a haphazard fashion. My husband and I stopped by to eat after my medical procedure. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us at a booth. We were handed menus so we could look over their offerings. My husband decided on pancakes topped with strawberries, and I chose a patty melt served with fries. We both drank coffee with flavored creamers; they have hazelnut and vanilla-as I hadn't had any caffeine in over twenty-four hours. We didn't have to wait very long for our food to be brought out piping hot and served with a smile from our lovely waitress. We enjoyed our food. The patty melt was delicious and juicy with the right amount of seasonings, caramelized onions, American and swiss cheese, thousand island sauce served on a potato bread bun. The French fries were good too-thick cut, and evenly seasoned. My husband enjoyed the pancakes topped with fruit and whipped cream. They are served as a mini-stack loaded with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. He didn't use any syrup as it was sweet enough with the fruit toppings. The restaurant is clean and bright inside with big windows that let in the natural light; social distancing, masks, and cleaning are part of their protocol. Parking is plentiful in their lot. This is one of the best Denny's in the Henderson-Las Vegas area. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They work hard to make sure everyone is served and enjoys their meal. The prices are reasonable. They have AARP and military discounts. I recommend trying this location. We will be returning shortly to try more of their delectable meals. read more

Our server was very kind & friendly but not her supervisor & manager. We had an outing here with our residents and I have some special instructions and our server was very kind enough to accommodate my request. There is this one staff too that helped us and she was also nice & kind. The food was good. But the store supervisor and manager were very rude. They were not even smiling. I don't think they know the meaning of customer-centric. So for our next breakfast, we'll go to another Denny's branch instead. This branch needs to replace the store supervisor & manager. read more

I've been going to this Dennys for years but have noticed that it has dramatically decreased in the last few months. It seems like they are understaffed and I don't know if there is a broken sewer line inside the restaurant, but it wreaks of a strong, rotten egg odor. In the last 4 months, I've come a handful of times and the smell has not been fixed. I can't imagine how unsanitary the smell can be, especially for the employees who have to smell it all day. Its Saturday morning and decided to go to Denny's. But then we wanted to try Scrambled and they are a 30-40 min wait!!! Good Lord!! Then went to Griddlecakes and there were several people waiting. So we went to Denny's and no lie..we walked in and the hose Marvin grabbed two menus and said "two?" And I said yes and he seated automatically in a both. Great service!!!
