This Denny's is great except for the night server joylynn I believe her name was. Have seen her argue with multiple customers and very rude and abrasive to everyone around her. Really disappointing this Denny's would keep someone like that employed. We use to enjoy going to this Denny's for a late night snack but we will be going elsewhere just to avoid her. Please get management here to address her attitude and demeanor. Really a sad thing. read more

I'd negative stars this place if I could for lack of any attempt of service and racisim. Waited patiently on an early Sunday evening with my husband and young daughter to be seated and was told by Nathaniel J. Ramos (that's what he said, however, he had on a blank name tag and looked like he hadn't showered or washed his hands for days) that we'd be seated shortly. 10 minutes later, an elderly caucasian couple walked in and were seated less than 3 minutes later by another server named Leta who was signaled to do so by Nathaniel. At that moment, my husband and I approached Nathaniel at the register to remind him that we had been waiting before the old couple that was just now seated. His response "well, I can't just unseat them". No attempt at an apology for lack of service. He pointed to a filthy booth in the back corner and I pointed out that it still hadn't been cleared and cleaned. He responds with "well I would clean it". So, you want to clean a table that's been left unattended because we're upset? My husband and I both told him that it wasn't the point and that we had been waiting, Nathaniel walked off mid way through us still taking to him and says "oh bummer". We're pretty upset at this point and just asked for his manager's contact info. He proceeded by grabbing a crumpled scrap piece of paper and wrote down "Fausto" I asked him for a first and last name and he claims he didn't know the name to his gm. Are you kidding me?! I even asked for contact info to his corporate office and he claims he had no such contact information or would know where to find it. Another server came from the back stating that the gm would be off but that "Jim" would be there in the morning. Seriously, do yourself a service and do not attempt this location. read more

I use to come here years before but stopped due to the food and atmosphere. So! Today I decided to have breakfast which is rare for me. :) I came and to my surprise it was way different. It had been remodeled which looks great. Everything was clean from the floors to the tables, utensils, menus, and so on. I was eager to see if the food quality would match the atmosphere. It did without a doubt. My server Scott was a prime example of what any server should be. I never had to ask for anything, He was just on top of things and wanted to make sure that I was happy. I watched him do the same for everyone else. Great server again. I will be back for sure and recommend others to give a try. read more

We used to come to this place pretty often a few years back and haven't really been here since. Until the other day we decided we wanted something besides the mimosa house. And this place really stepped up there game. They have so many new items on there menu and it looked like they made some adjustments to the interior. I had the waffles with added strawberry and whip cream and it was really good. And the eggs were super fluffy. I will definitely start to frequent here again. Good coffee. Ever since I moved to the Rancho area I come to this Denny's for it the only place really open late at night. Even then the servers are not slow and they are always friendly. If I could I would drink their honey mustered out of the tin; it's that good. I'm a big JoJo's fan as well so all the JoJo music references that play in the dinner are great! read more

I've been here a few times and by far the best Denny's I've been to I was a little skeptical cause I've had bad experiences but I really wanted some French toast and hash browns so we went here. I would review the food, however, after my second attempt, I still haven't eaten there. They are the only 24 hour restaurant in the area. Twice I have tried to eat there before going into work, and twice I have been ignored so long that I have run out of time. Unfortunately, that meant both times that I ate at McDonalds in the same parking lot. May not have been a full blown breakfast, but it was fast and hot and by that point, what I needed. I would NOT recommend showing up at this Denny's any time, but never at 5:30 am, it seems to be a bad time for them. read more

Just left after standing there for 7 minutes with not even a smile or a "be with you in one moment" nothing. I wouldve been happy with a "welcome to Dennys, be with you in one moment" but nope. They ignored us. Came with my mom who comes here about once a week. A lady bussing tables saw us, said outloud to co workers something about people waiting to be seated. Then we stood there for a couple more minutes. Two men came in and stood behind us... After a couple minutes they sat themselves at the bar and SHE (lady with red in her hair) instantly hands them a menu and starts chatting it up. We left. Thats not okay. We were never even acknowledged. Rude. Bad business. We left and went to iHop down the street. Instantly greeted and seated here. In the time we waited at dennys standing we've already been greeted, seated, givin coffee, and our orders have been taken. Good job Denny's. Oh and while standing there waiting a man who I'm pretty sure is a manager of some sort since he was ringing up a customer in nice normal clothes not a Denny's uniform, looked me straight in my eyes and then continued to ignore us without so much as a "welcome to Denny's." My elderly mom got confused & lost while driving. I had already called law enforcement when she finally pulled into Denny's on Sunrise. A very kind server figured out that something was wrong. She got my phone # and called me. When I arrived to pick her up, Ayesha had served her eggs, toast & coffee. She put her in a close booth where she could keep on eye on her. The Asian Manager is a complete TOOL! Customers service is horrid. Tried to use a coupon on my very last visit from my iPhone the same manager told me he couldn't use it unless I printed it out. Came back today with a PRINTED coupon I just received in my email and was denied AGAIN!!!! Now he says it won't scan. NEVER again, you have lost my business!! I will go to IHOPS before I ever return to this Denny's. My breakfast skillet was cold the hot plate was cold to the touch, the sausage was old and potatoes tasted as if they were under a heat lamp for a week. Honestly it was a fast easy place to get to in the morning. Not my first time here definitely my last though. For what ever reason the older Hispanic lady is never happy when she's here. Service is better when it's the younger girls working. Food is fine however service and cleanliness is meh. Bathrooms can use some attention. read more

This is my favorite Denny's. The staff here are SO FAST and friendly. We come here nearly every tuesday since kids eat free on tuesdays. Not too busy at night, but SLAMMED in the morning and on the weekends. If you go at night stay away from the soup and salad though. It gets a little old by the end of the day. I think that since the food is the same at all the Denny's the main thing that sets them apart is the level of service, of which I highly recommend. I just wish they had kids eat free every day like the one on Mack Rd!!! read more

We come here almost every weekend and usually don't have a problem but today changed my entire review of the Denny's location. 1. They have horrible communication. Why? We checked in with a lady as soon as we came in and she said we can sit in the waiting area. After watching 5 families get seated before us. We let them know that we have been there before all the people seated and the kid seating was extremely rude and barked at us that we'll be seated. He then began to seat 2 more families before finally being told by another staff we were waiting way too long. 2. Waiting on a server was even worse. Why? We literally sat for 20 minutes AFTER waiting 20 minutes to be seated just to be acknowledged for just drinks. 10 minutes later she came back for our order. Another endless time waiting and the food arrived. 3. The food arrived visually unappetizing and was wrong. Why? I always order tilapia ranchero with suateed vegies. The meal came out missing toppings and seasoning on my veggies. My SONS.....(yeah thats both of them) were nipped on pancakes ... Instead of 3 pancakes they got 2 each. The server literally went back 3 separate times to fix everything that was wrong. The cherry on the pie....... 4. The dishes had a chemical taste. Why? The meal torward the bottom of each of our meals had a chemical taste as if the dishes were not thoroughly rinsed. We understand the rush and all but this was uncalled for and disgusting. Overall: Usually a decent place to have breakfast with the family after church before the rush but during crunch time this restaurant turns into a hole in the wall mom and pop diner. I ordered a bacon avocado burger over the phone. The lady told me 10 minutes. 10 minutes turned in 25 minutes. I was late going back to work. I asked to speak to a supervisor for a refund he refused to speak to me and gave the food to cashier to give to me i over heard a lady that worked her saying no refunds. Wow. Horrible customer service. The new cashier was the only nice person to me.I took the food because i was starving and had to leave due to already a few minutes late. As i got to work the burger was full of grease dripping. The fries were overcooked they taste like potato chips. I will never go to this location again. I can not believe this place is still in business!!! Definitely not a friendly place. No one makes eye contact. My son and I were in a time crunch so we sat at the counter. We sat there for ten minutes and no one greeted us. The manager and at least five other employees saw us including the server assigned the counter area. No one smile or said hi. They were talking to each other in front of us. We have been here several times and have excused their bad behavior but not today. We decided to leave and never come back! They are a poor representation of the Denny's chain. We love Denny's in several cities. We have been to Anaheim, Honolulu, Imperial Beach (CA) , Chula Vista (CA), Mission Valley (CA), Ocean Beach (CA) Las Vegas, New York etc. The service at all these Denny's have lived up to the Denny's experience. This Denny's usually has good service but I usually come later at night. But tonight at 8pm it is awful the service slow and it is not even busy. Our waitress can't stay focused. It took 20 minutes just for her to take our order and she couldn't even bring water. We ordered milkshakes and water to start and we still have an empty table. Another 20 minutes go by and we have milk shakes and water finally. The waitress seems unfocused and to worried about being overly nice rather than being attentive. Nobody greeted us and we stood there for 4 min before someone sat us down. I ordered a slice of pumpkin pie which was ok..very cold..wish it was warm. Sausage had a mushy texture, maybe undercooked. I didnt even finish 1 piece..i sent it back. The Orange Juice is very watery & concentrated. I sent that back. The steak omlet was cheesy and yummy. Hashbrowns seemed a little dry and wheat toast was kinda burnt. The milk shake was VERY GROSS..it was so waterdown..it tasted like lowfat yogurt. Very artificial tasting. After a night of drinks and driving around, two friends and I went to this Denny's to sober up and grab some cheap eats. The waitress brought menus, water and a Sprite for me. Two of us ordered breakfast and one of my friends went back to the car to pass out in the passenger's seat. My other friend and I talked and talked and talked. We looked around and everyone seemed to be getting food, including people who came in after us. We weren't being loud or anything. There was no reason to avoid us in order to force us out. Twenty or thirty minutes went by and we decided to leave. I tapped the passenger side window and my friend got out of the car, only to open up the driver's side door of the car to the right of us, and sit down in the seat. We looked back at the Denny's door and it seemed like the owner noticed someone getting into his car. I quickly got my buddy back in my friend's car and we left. I still don't know why he thought it was a good idea. If nothing else, this Denny's provided us a funny story to tell. read more

2.5 stars. Typical Denny's. No surprises. Had the Grand Slam for $5.99. You can now pick any 4 items for your Grand Slam for $5.99 and it's 99 cents for each additional item. I was able to swap hashbrowns for seasoned fries for 39cents. It met expectations for a Denny's although the cook doesn't know what "eggs scrambled soft" means. Oh, after 10pm the super cheap special prices go up since not much is opened in Sac area at that time. Service was good. read more

This place was Filthy with a capital F and the staff looked almost as dirty as the restaurant. It looked like it had been weeks since they had cleaned the carpet and especially under the tables.
