Really? I'm the first one to review this Denny's? I don't know whether I should feel proud or ashamed. Either way... I had never visited a Denny's until last year when I went in for a midnight snack after a girls night out. It was OK from what I remember. I didn't review that particular one because quite honestly I don't think service, whether or not the food was good or price was really important to me at the time, all I wanted was some food in my stomach. I have to say though that I was very impressed with this particular Denny's and it made me wonder why I had never been to one before. This one in particular as I drive by it quite often. Our waiter was so on top of everything, coffee, napkins, asking if things were OK, etc. Really nice to see someone that cares. I ordered a breakfast burrito that had tons of avocados in it. Review for 6/15/16 I absolutely have to give this specific Denny's 5 stars simply because of the incredible staff and the service. We have been coming to this particular Denny's for years and have known many of the staff members for a while. I love how friendly all of them are. I went here with my dad today and they immediately cleaned off a booth for us because they know we prefer sitting in booths as opposed to tables. Before we had even gotten settled, our waitress brought us two orange juices without us having to ask since that is what we normally order. I change up my order every time I come, but my dad consistently orders the same entree, and our waitress remembered exactly what he normally orders. While all of this was going on, I noticed a completely different waitress greet two people who I noticed were also regulars, and she knew their exact order as well. This particular time, I ordered "eggs in a basket," which is two eggs fried in the center of a cheddar bun, with a side of hash browns with cheese and bacon, and two strips of bacon. I always order this without the bacon in the hash browns and with the strips of bacon on the side because I don't eat meat, and they got my order exact. I personally enjoy Denny's food. It's inexpensive and the portion sizes are filling. I like that they change up the menu periodically to add more variety, and they have some innovative menu items that I haven't seen at other restaurants (eggs in a basket, Baja quesadilla burger, etc.) Overall, for this specific experience at this particular Denny's, I will rate them 5 stars for staff, service, and food. read more

I don't think we will be back to this dennys again. The service was slow. Our appitizer cam out with the meal. On our appitizer the boneless chicken wings were really dark and hard on the outside. The onion ring were cooked in old oil that gave them a bad taste and you could smell. The mozzarella sticks the cheese was not even melted. Our chicken fried steak crust was also very dark. Food was just barely warm. We told our waiter about the bad cooking oil taste and the smell of the onion rings he told us he would let the manager know. Never told the manager just went and gave us our check. We have had these same items at serval other Denny's and they have been good that's why we had no reason to think it would be different. Also the waiter nor manager ever came to check on us once we got the food. So just and Al around bad experiences but I am concerned about the temperature of the good they are sending out. We hadn't been to a Denny's in years and on a whim went to the one on Sunrise Blvd in Rancho Cordova. We keep going back almost weekly now! We were both shocked at how excellent the food was. I've eaten in diners my whole life, and it's always comforting but never special. The cook at this location makes everything come out tasting and looking like it's from an upscale cafe. I've tried quite a few different dishes and everyone surprises me. But what also keeps us coming so often are the waitresses. We love them! Even at the first visit the waitresses make you feel so welcome, give you special treatment, serve so quickly, accurately, and with the perfect balance of checking on you at perfect intervals and leaving you alone. I have to give a special shoutout to the waitresses alison, Chanae and Kerri. I am so happy when I see them there! They all have such warm but unique personalities that are beyond delightful! I went there today November 5, 2022 at around 8:45 am for my mom's birthday and there was this white waitress that was being completely RUDE to us. The cashier told us to sit at a specific table. And then when we went to sit down, the white woman waitress, who was helping a different table, rudely told us "dont sit there, don't you see it's dirty?" "you're not suppose to sit there" She completely attacked us verbally in front of customers. It was very unprofessional of her. In that situation these workers need to communicate with each other about whether or not people/ customers can be seated or not. My mom and I were completely humiliated in front of customers when that white waitress talked to us like that. September 4, I took two friends that we're leaving for Idaho and I thought the closest place to eat would be a good idea. I had already eaten some where else, but I opted for the pancake puppies and my two friends had the typical eggs, toast pancakes etc. it's not important of the exact items but the one thing they had in common were eggs. Meal for the three including tip was about $53. Now I went the whole day and next feeling good. My friends wife started to having issues with here stomach which finally came to an end at about several hours later getting sick to throwing up. Her husband was okay at this point as he saved his eggs for later and put them in a cooler with ice. Well the next morning he gets up and decides to eat his eggs and within an hour becomes sick to the point of throwing up. I consider that the amount Denny's charged should have ensured that the food would not deliver the punch it did. I will take the amount I paid and use that as a lesson to never eat at that Denny's anymore. read more

My wife and I like the burgers here, we also like the pot roast sandwich. The burgers were build your own way so we got them the way we like. I tried the cheddar bun which I probably won't get next time. The wait staff is friendly but disappeared after delivering the food, I could get a refill on my soda which is no good.
