We love the pizza and the service here... Dewey's in Webster is doing it right!!! The pizza is great--a chewy, high-gluten crust and the right amount and mix of ingredients. The service is also great--attentive but not annoying. It is a fantastic place to bring kids thanks to the entertaining antics of the pizza makers. They get busy in the early dinner hours--it starts to fill up with families at 5:00 or so. And it gets loud, unfortunately loud. But we take our kids there and contribute to the noise level, so I can't complain. One downside is that it is pricey...not overpriced, just pricey. read more

Say what you will about Pi (it's delicious), but when you're craving that non-Chicago style pizza, Dewey's is the best in town. My wife and I, in her words, "pop on in" here rather frequently. There's almost always a wait time when we go, but we choose to sit at the bar when we go. There's only maybe 12-15 chairs, but you can order up your food much quicker because nobody seems to want to eat up there. The service is always quick and friendly. The servers seem to at least know about the different beers they have on draft, which is nice since they have a decent rotation of craft brews. If you do choose to wait, there are a couple windows looking into the kitchen so you're able to watch the cooks at work. I've seen them play around with kids who are watching by tossing flour at the windows and such. Onto the real reason for the review--PIZZA! We always order a 13" pizza, which is enough for four slices a piece, and have it split between two different types. We do this so that we can try different things, as well as make a competition of it to determine our favorite. Last night we ordered the Meatball and the seasonal Don Corleone. The meatball is our current champ as favorite from Dewey's. The meatballs small enough to bite into without unhinging your jaw in the process, and taste amazing. The oregano, parmesan, and basil all roll together perfectly with their red sauce. Don Corleone was good, but no Meatball killer. Had to use two hands to eat this because it's difficult to bite through some of the meats without pulling all the toppings off with the bite. No big deal to me, but some may prefer a knife/fork to eat something like this. I'd also recommend a past favorite, the Hawaiian. The Canadian bacon they use is delicious and pineapple super fresh. Couple of things that get skipped in most reviews. Yes, the pizza is tremendous, but the reason is the crust. They hand toss and at this location and you can watch it all happen through a window. The kids love it. The cooked crust has just the right amount of crispy brown on the edge, but you really can only experience that when you dine in. Also worth mentioning is the service at Dewey's. They use a full on team concept, so absolutely anybody with a Dewey's shirt on can and will be your server. Need another soda or beer, just ask anybody you see, if they haven't already snuck another one in front of you. The pizza is the best in this area. Perfect crust, perfect toppings. The calzones are hard to beat too... perfect ratio of sauce, cheese and ingredients and great dough. Nice beer selection, with some local brews, as well as a handful of wines. Just as good as the food, the service model is excellent. Although it seemed like we had a primary person waiting on us, there is a small army of waitstaff that walks around and looked after our table. Empty water? Removing plates? Taking the payment? It seemed like they embraced helping the guest, regardless of what table they were primarily taking care of. Fantastic Pizza! One of the best I've ever had. Great medium style crust with a hint of garlic. Fav pizza is the Caprice. It is an olive oil/garlic base type pizza with whole tomato slices, basil, and a fresh mozzerella/fontina blend. I always add banana peppers to give it a kick. This location is very busy, but it is a little less busy then the kirkwood location and its best to go either before 6 or after 8. You better go! read more

Sooo Good! The dough is hand tossed and delicious. Our favorite is the Socrates revenge. Everything taste fresh and they probably have the best crust in town. I only wish they offered more appetizers on their menu. Dewy's is frequent go to in our house! read more

I wanted to write to thank Dewey's for being so diligent about their service during this pandemic. I called to order a pizza and my boyfriend picked it up. They allowed me to pay over the phone so there wouldn't be a transaction of cards upon pick up. The only thing needed upon pick up was a receipt signature. They had a cup of pens labeled "unsanitized" and a cup labeled "sanitized." This means the world right now, especially to a healthcare worker that doesn't have the choice to stay home every day. Came here for pizza school!!! If you see this posted in your local Dewey's, pounce on it as fast as you can. Great for a date night or family outing. I took my wife with me this first time, but will be back with our kids for the next one. Pizza school is simply wonderful. Whether you're a kid and want to see behind the scenes, a couple looking for something fun to do, or a food nerd (Like yours truly) that wants to talk hydration ratios and bakers percentages with the kitchen manager, this is for you. You will come in before the store opens and they will have the kitchen open early. They take everyone through in groups and have a salad and drink bar out in the dining room while you wait for your turn. Once you are in the kitchen, they will show you how to toss a pizza, show you how to top it and then let you take a shot at making your own pie. After that, they put it in the deck oven and about 10 minutes later, you have a wonderful pizza to enjoy. I love to make homemade pizza and getting to cook on industrial deck ovens was a blast. It is incredible what good equipment and quality ingredients can do for a pizza. read more

Having moved back to St. Louis recently after 12 years away I have discovered something that might be considered an unpopular opinion. . . St. Louis style pizza isn't that great. But unfortunately it's about all you can find. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover Deweys--they have real pizza! Cut into slices, not squares. With real cheese! Halleluiah! We were able to get a 1/2 red sauce pizza and 1/2 white sauce pizza. The service was awesome. There was a slight mix-up on 1/2 of our pizza--no biggie, things happen. Everyone bent over backwards trying to make it right. Awesome awesome service. We had a great time and a great meal and I'm overjoyed to find a nearby place for delicious regular pizza. read more

I love pizza, and I have tried many, many different kinds of pizza. For me, Dewey's is as good as a regular crust (not thin, not thick, not deep dish) pizza gets. The service is great, I've never had an issues or complaints and I've eaten there dozens of times. I've been eating here for years and it is really good. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Me and my wife get a large peppercorn ranch salad and we split it. It is very delicious and highly recommended. We go half and half on a late pizza as well. She enjoys the bbq chicken while I get some other specialty pizza on the menu like the Don Corleone or Hawaiian. All very tasty with top quality ingredients. The wait can be long so I recommend checking in on the yelp app. It is a very kid friendly place and can get loud at times. read more

I love Deweys! I have zero complaints on their taste & service. The last time I was here we beat the crowd, but barely. The line was wrapped around the hall near the front door by the time we left. I enjoyed seeing how their service worked -- their team works very well together to get things moving. Different people came around, asking if we needed different things, drinks, etc, rather than relying on a single server. I wish there were ten stars. This is easily my favorite pizza place on the planet. I travel all over the world and try the best pizza everywhere I go. From NYC, to Italy, and I still think Dewey's is the best of all. So fresh tasting. Amazing dough, cheese, sauce, and toppings. The XPepperoni is incredible. The Dr. Dre is ridiculous. Dining in on the weekends can have a wait, but it's fun to grab one of the amazing selection of local craft beer and watch the dough tossers through the glass window in the kitchen. Kids love to do that and it's a really family friendly place or just a great date night. Staff is very kind. Brick walls make the vibe great. Usually a good game on the tv too. read more

It has gone downhill. We are loyal Dewey's Pizza people. Loyal. The quality has gone downhill drastically. The past four times we have had to cook our pizza at home because the dough is still raw. This is after we ask them to put it back in the oven at the restaurant. Tonight is the same story. The pizzas are sloppy. Cheese unevenly put on and falling in the box, toppings sliding off (toppings that are barely on the pizza), pizzas that aren't even cut. It is shocking and disappointing. I figured I should finally try this, as I was in WG mornings last week. Even though it's a chain, I'd heard good things. I like the space in the WG one, and was surprised it wasn't busier during the lunch rush. I got a special taco pizza, and it was good. I liked the crust well enough, kind of a good compromise between different styles. The pizza was fine, but didn't blow me away with quality or presentation. we were looking for a place to eat one night, and while searching the Yelp app, we came across the listing for Dewey's Pizza, so we decided to check them out. man I am sure glad that we did, we came here late night so the crowds had already gone which worked in our favor. the menu consists of mainly 3 items, salads, Pizza's, and Calzone, which makes your meal selection easy. we tried 2 pizzas this visit, the X-Peperoni, and the Bronx Bomber, both selections brought rave reviews from both parties involved, and it was unanimous that we would be returning for another round of pizza. The menu has 14 specialty pizzas, a section where you can build your own pizza, and a menu for their calzone. they have a couple of locations, this location was great, a nice layout and plenty of tables and space. the decor is really nice and dress is of course casual, I mean its pizza! LOVE Dewey's! Outside of NYC, this is the best pizza I've had. The crust is fresh and chewy and the sauce (both red and olive oil) is equally delicious. I've had a huge range of toppings at various times and have never been disappointed. A big plus is their house salad which is SO good and not the crappy iceberg lettuce + huge slices of onions and tomatoes that most pizza places offer. Outstanding pizza. Great fresh ingredients including all the vegetables, meats etc.. The house salad was outstanding; very light and the perfect precursor to the great pizza we had next. We had half a "Bronx Bomber" and half a seasonal pizza called "Tito Santana". Definitely one of the very best pizzas we had ever eaten.
