I simply don't get it. I can understand the appeal of Sweetgreen, CAVA, other bowl places, but this place's allure just escapes me. I've gone twice to this same location and the food left me completely underwhelmed on both occasions. Both the chicken thigh pieces and chicken breast pieces are nothing special and the sides are literally externally burnt while being internally raw always. Also my chicken thigh chunks looked slightly undercooked as well and I refrained from even chewing down more than a few bites. The farro is OK I guess? I hate just having huge chunks of food in a bowl. Cut the chicken up ir something and rub it in some more spices, cut the potatoes up. I'll give them some points for the seasonal cornbread side since it was the only thing I liked. read more

This place was just really kind of strange to be honest. I wasn't sure what the heck I was supposed to be building in a bowl, considering I had rice or lettuce, then all of a sudden an option for Mac and cheese in the mix. Then a choice of meat and tiny servings of sauce. I was like an odd "choose your destiny" kind of situation. Overall, service did go fast during peak lunch time. They had some chicken options and it wasn't overcooked and had some seasoning. Paired it with some rice, extra carbs on top of those and sweet potatoes. The Siracha sauce was a bit too odd for my but that garlic sauce was super good. (I think it was garlic) so give that one a go. This place was a bit too "lets be kichy with farm fresh vegan yaya yada" for my taste. But if you want a healthy option in the area and are into that calling your salad "greens" and are sick of Sweetgreen, then check it out. You won't be dissapointed at the end of the day and theres enough options that the bowl building is somewhat endless. read more

We had seen so many Digs around Boston so decided it was something we ought to try! I really liked their veggie options - it made it so hard to decide which one to get! In the end, I got the farro, mint greens, eggplant, corn, and chicken thigh with garlic aioli on the side. I really enjoyed it and it was super filling! The workers also really packed in the toppings, which I appreciated. The workers were generally super nice, though their efficiency was lacking. Even though we were the only four people in the restaurant, it took quite some time for them to fill and check out our orders. Overall, though, I'm glad we gave this East Coast chain a try! read more

My favorite healthy build-your-own-bowl lunch/dinner option. I've visited a few times to try all the bases, sides, and proteins, and don't think I've ever gone wrong with any of them. For new folks - you can go to the counter and build your bowl with the following options: 1. Choose your base (yes, you can do half/half!) 2. Choose your two sides (or 3 if you're forgoing the protein) 3. Choose your protein 4. Choose your sauce (yes, you can try more than 1!) If you don't want to look silly contemplating in line, I suggest placing an order ahead of time on their app - or you can see a photo of all your options on there. I love Dig/ Dig Inn. Even with a seasonal menu this place is consistently good. I order lunch on the app for our office it was ready within 10 mins and was still hot by the time I walked back. I got the make your own bowl with meatballs, cauliflower, Mac & cheese and brown rice. The portions are huge and probably the best bang for your you buck lunch in seaport. (My bowl was just under $10). The ingredients are farm to table and they have lots of delicious veggies options. I usually get Brussels sprouts but they're out of season . This is my first time getting the Mac and cheese and it beats out a lot of soul food spots. It was sooo good. And the sauces really elevate the meals to the next level. I suggest the pesto the garlic aioli or the rosemary vinegarette. read more

My first time ever trying Dig was today. Atmosphere was whatever, just another fast casual place. I ordered the hot honey chicken...and received no chicken? The woman taking my boyfriend and I's order even went over to a laminated sheet that I assume was to check how to make each bowl. The quality of ingredients was fine and the vegetables were seasoned well. I just can't get over the fact I spent $16 on mac n cheese, broccoli, and carrots...Next time I will just go to Cava or Chipotle instead. read more

Another restaurant within a four block radius that serves "bowls" of food. Within these four blocks are two Sweet Greens, chipotle, and a Mediterranean, an Indian, and a Japanese place that all serve some form of a bowl with a base carb like rice with your choice of protein, greens, and dressing. Their bowl is smaller than sweet greens, all the choices are healthy and they have some good protein choices. I got the charred chicken thighs on faro with kale and broccoli. All of the bowls in the area are priced around $11-13 with the exception chipotle which is the low price leader, but is also the lowest quality food of the bowl restaurants in the area. I'll add diginn to the list of bowl restaurants that I visit every week. Update - went back for my second visit. Suggestion to DigInn - I don't understand some of the sides and proteins. I don't envision how I would put spicy meatballs on rice or faro, and then I don't envision myself ever adding mac and cheese as a side on top of a base carb. Suggest that you create some pre-configured dishes built on the bases - similar to the way SweetGreens has some pre-configured bowls. read more

Got the kale Caesar bowl. It was so good. The tomatoes were so fresh. I loved the dressing and the crunchy peanuts that were scattered in there. Feels super healthy and is less expensive than sweetgreen. read more

I ordered maple glazed tofu, brown rice, greens, and the mac. the tofu was fine. it wasn't disgusting but i wouldn't eat it again if i had a choice to eat anything else. the rice and greens were fine. there was some kind of sauce in the rice that i wasn't expecting and didn't really like but it was tolerable. the mac was horrific. idk how you can possibly mess up mac and cheese that badly but dig has done it! it's no exaggeration inedible. i took a few bites and i had to spit it out. the breadcrumbs are overspiced, the pasta is too small, and the cheese is just weird and bad. it also left an aftertaste that's made me a bit nauseous. overall nothing tasted good and there was nothing that i would eat again. im disappointed to say this too because i had heard such great things about this place. that's why i ordered a variety of food, i wanted to give it a fair shot. super disappointed. also, it arrived cold and they forgot my overpriced drink lol!! read more

We were visiting from Seattle for a graduation and DIG was recommended to us. It was excellent and we went back a few times. The chicken is awesome and the cauliflower was exceptional. They really flavor the dishes creatively that really differentiate the eating experience. read more

Trying the new food joint in the neighborhood (seems to be a new one every month). Farmers bowl with farrow as base, charred chicken, coupled with Mac and cheese and some peppers. QUALITY CONTROL. I used to go to Digg on Boyleston several times a week. I just got the one in the seaport. My chicken was legit rubbery undercooked flesh. The portion size was an appetizer for a squirrel. I usually love this place (never been to this location). But I would stay away, gross. Extremely great food when they first opened. Now that the corporate team has left, the quality has diminished drastically. I live in the area and I suggest never eating here after lunch. They certainly don't make fresh food after lunch hours. Also, always check your order before leaving. They have "forgotten" my protein multiple time, and once they made my order and hour before my selected time. read more

First time I try out this fast casual chain. Mainly build your own rice or salad bowls with your pick of base, veggies, protein, and sauce. The idea is good and the options are decent but they need to put more work on making sure the proteins are warm. My rice and veggies were hot and well seasoned but the charred chicken was somewhat cold. If anything should be warm it should be the chicken. Thankfully it seemed to be fully cooked. Just wanted to share the absolute worst customer service ever. I ordered my meals at 5 for pickup at 8. I had my fiancé pick up dinner and all the employees were completely rude and not helpful. After standing there waiting for someone, he had asked about our order to which they claimed was not out yet. He even tried to check if the order was received and no one was helpful. I called and they claimed it was not picked up yet and I explained the whole disaster. My favorite new lunch option in Seaport! Wholesome healthy options with a somewhat traditional bent. Think delicious fresh veggies, perfectly cooked proteins and balanced carbs if you like(or not). My favorite bowl is roasted sweet potatoes, beautifully roasted broccoli and some of the finest skin-on chicken breast to ever be served in a fast casual setting! Don't forget the garlic aoli! It all sounds so simple but the execution is on par with a fine dining kitchen so the food is really satisfying and very reasonably priced. read more

Went there for the first time for lunch the other day and ordered the Classic Dig which was amazing. The lemon flavor is perfect and the broccoli and chicken thighs were great. I'm usually not a big fan of sweet potato but even that tasted delicious. Everything tasted fresh and my order was made super fast. Also love how big their water cups are there!
