Siu Mai--also a little bland, but good with chili sauce
    Alice F.

Our lunch was wonton soup, siu mai, har gow, bean curd rolls, chicken egg rolls, and Shanghai soup dumplings. Here are my ratings: Bean curd rolls 5/5--well prepared and a tasty garlic sauce on top Wonton soup 5/5--delicate and delicious broth with massive wontons Chicken egg rolls 5/5--generous amount of filling and nicely crispy Siu mai, har gow, and soup dumplings were all strangely bland in comparison. The excellent chili sauce helped, but I prefer my dumplings to have some seasoning on their own. Service was attentive, although the kitchen was a little slow. Don't go for the atmosphere--what do you expect from a strip mall restaurant? I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but I also would try them again.

I don't want to leave a positive review because I don't want too many people getting in my way as I push myself through the crowd to enjoy Dim Sum Cafe dim sum. This place is great.

Ugh so good. I love coming here for some authentic dim sum! I highly recommend coming with a group and ordering a couple things and sharing. The service is friendly and attentive. The place is small but it's cute.

This place has been a favorite of mine for years, and every single visit reminds me why I keep coming back. It may be a smaller, family-owned spot, but the heart, passion, and consistency here are unmatched. Hands down, the best dim sum I've had in Arizona. Even when they're incredibly busy (which they always are for a reason), the service never feels rushed or careless. Sunni was absolutely amazing--so kind, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. You can tell she truly cares about the guests and the experience. There's something really special about supporting a local family business that pours so much love into what they do. You feel it in the food, the service, and the atmosphere. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. And if you have, you already know exactly what I'm talking about

Visiting AZ and my family and I decided we wanted Dim Sum for dinner. We found Dim Sum Cafe which was only a few minutes away from our hotel. Service was meh. She was nice towards the end of our dinner. Glad they served Dim Sum All Day. Food: Shrimp Steamed Dumpling Pork Pot Stickers Fried Rice Beef Chow Fun Shanghai Spup Dumplings aka XLB Pork / Shrimp Shumai All the dishes were delcious. Very flavorful. The shumai was huge and I really enjoyed the soup dumplings. I would return again. Small hole in the wall spot. Nothing fancy just good food.

Not much to say about the place. Food was bland. Mediocre at best. Wasn't bad, but wouldn't recommend or go back ‍

Very mediocre Chinese spot. I had the beef chow fun ($17) which was flavorless and bland. I also ordered the chicken dumplings which was 4 tiny dumplings for $6. Not flavorful at all and tasted like it was cooked from frozen. I did pickup and pay at cashier, yet the cashier woman was unfriendly and demanded I pay a tip. I do not like bullying for tips so I left $0. There already was a $1 convenience charge built into the bill for pickup. Will not be back here as there are much better options in Mesa.

The food is exactly what I needed for the cold rainy day! The taste was on point and special mentions for the Chili Oil sauce. The service was timely. The ambiance was good.

Good quality food!! We had been wanting yummy dim sum and pork! Fried was delish, it's something we always order at a new Asian restaurant. The service was nice. Seemed to be family owned. Small but cozy place which did accommodate larger parties. I especially loved the shrimp/pork dim sum options. Super delish! And the tray of sauces was super cute , was glad I was able to try all 3. The pork was yummy. Next time we order it we will get sauce on the side. Super saucy is good but that day we just wanted the pork fix. We will be returning.

We found this restaurant via Yelp and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious and service was good. We got the steamed pork buns, the filling was plentiful and so good. My pickiest eater said he would "100% eat here again".

This was disappointing. First off we ordered a shrimp wonton soup and we got a tiny frozen shrimp inside a I don't even know what you can call it. Everything was off.

I ordered from the cart, somewhat point and taste. I had the salt fried shrimp, the shrimp dumplings sticky rice in leaf packets and the calamari. It was a lot and more than ample for two. The shrimp were huge and fried shell on head intact, which was fine with me, but for those who don't want to eyeball their meal, take heed. But they were crisp fresh and delicious, and salty. The calamari were fairly tender and freshly fried and salty as well. The star of the show, for me was the little shrimp dumpling. Encased in tender opaque skins, and packed with shrimp. I'd order those again. The sticky rice packets were filled with savory and seasoned ground meat, I think pork. Which i usually avoid, but I was committed. It was excellent ! I will return for another crack at the dim sum cart and this time I want to try the sweet side of the menu. Though I suppose I could always head to hmarts Paris baguettes for the custard pies, my favorite. No matter I will be back. Our service was spot on btw and the dining room began to fill after 1200. So get there early... it was old school decor which actually added to the charm of it all.

I thought it might be good because there was a line of people waiting to get in. We ended up ordering the usual suspects Sticky rice Shu Mai BBQ Pork Buns Spare Pork Ribs Chicken Feet The food was not spectacular and the bbq buns tasted like they were pre frozen. It wasn't soft at all and I became pretty disappointed. We also did not see the fried turnip cake until we ordered it from our server. She was the saving grace as she was very nice and polite and attentive. When ever we asked for something we got it right away. Also the cart ladies are much nicer as well than the other dim sum place. The food was comparable with the other place as well. The place is large and mostly clean. It does get an oily smell as they are frying things in the open and you can see it. I do like they have fish tanks for the kids to look at the fresh fish and lobster. One thing to note is that it does seem a bit more expensive than the other dim sum place as well. It's hard to choose which dim sum place we should go to moving forward.

The spicy is mild overall with a light chili spice on initial bite. It fades, so the dipping sauce was nice to have with it. The Xiao Long Bao were the winners of thee meal and would be why I go back. Easy to eat and tasty. I only wish the soup inside was a bit hotter. The Chicken Sheng Jian Bao was good, but the breading a little thicker than I personally like. This felt more like a dessert with the sesame bottom. Good taste, just heavy. Felt like we were rushed a bit and we're asked several times if we were done. There were empty tables, so that knocked it from the higher 3.5 side to the lower. Yelp is a flat star rating.

I would've loved less dough, more soup, overall bigger portion size (larger dumplings or more of them). Otherwise, the soup itself was tasty. We also ordered the 14. The grilled section most of the meat is extremely tough or really chewy now , it's like the grade of meat has gone down and lacks flavor. From the time we got there a little before 7:00 p.m. to when we left around 8:45, the crab legs were empty til about 8:30. So in the almost two hour time frame, the crab legs got restocked ONCE. Such a disappointment, esp since everyone rushed to grab some, so alot of people didn't get a chance to eat any. Luckily my son was able to get four clusters for the table to share. Our server wasn't attentive at all, had to ask him for napkins multiple times, ask for water refills , and no crab leg crackers or anything was given to us. Although I guess that last one didn't matter too much this time since there weren't really any crab legs that were offered. Our bill was around $76 for two adults two kids and this time definitely did not feel like it was worth it. Sucks to see with the beautiful remodel, the food quality and quantity has gone downhill.
