I think my girlfriend would chose DipNMix over me and I can't even be upset. She introduced me to this little hole in the wall a few months ago and it has become a regular place for dessert. Our go-to is a Nutella crepe but their options are endless, smoothies and açaí bowls are also very notable and everything has so many topping options. The staff are all super friendly and even like my dog. The location makes this a great destination for our evening walks and there's always lots of "characters" in the area that make for great exposure and socialization training. Plus they have a couple of chairs outside we can wait at while they prepare our food. This is the best choice for dessert following a meal at In-N-Out or just on its own. read more

Crepe 3.78/10- Nutella and cookie butter filled, Oreo and brownie bits filled topped with milk chocolate drizzle and cookies and cream icecream. The crepe itself did not taste like a crepe as it was very crispy, the texture was weird it wasn't light or dough like. It was like a display -Ary. We asked for the Oreos to be inside but there were no Oreos inside, only some brownie bits. The Nutella and cookie butter were mixed inside which was kind of weird and hard to distinguish from each other. We ended up just eating the filling inside (which lacked of oreo) with the icecream as neither of us were a fan of the actual crepe. A late night dessert shop open in Westwood. The service was fast and the workers were nice. read more

Easily the worst smoothie I've ever had. We ordered the super pitaya and the peanut butter smoothie. We got our drinks and it looked so watered down. We tasted and had to go back because it tasted so bland. The guy remade our drinks, it tasted better but I was wondering why he wasnt putting ice. It was as cold as we wanted it to be. The food was fine. I had a crepe (pictured) that was definitely a little odd, being rectangular and pre-cut into squares. It was crispier than crepes usually are as well. The squares were not bite sized nor did they come apart all that easily. I was not provided with a knife to eat this with. Seating is limited. read more

I don't come here too often, but this place slaps whenever I do. The crepes are always made really well, and they're super tasty. I recommend sharing this with at least one other friend because with the ice cream especially, it's pretty huge. You can customize your crepes with different toppings, fillings, ice cream, all the good stuff. I mean, there's nothing too crazy about the crepes, but it's always tasty and the serving size is nice. The one guy who seems like he owns the place is super nice and very chill. Although, he works really slow. Like REALLY SLOW. Especially when he makes acai bowls. Also, I feel like this place opens whenever and doesn't have a set schedule. You just gotta see if it's open by coming. Solid place to get crepes! read more

I thought I was dreaming when I heard that dipnmix had crepes for less than $5. Not only can you get a freshly made crepe or waffle for $4.85, but you can add a spread, two fillings, a drizzle and a scoop of ice cream, all for the same low price. Dipnmix is small storefront on Gayley, up the street from Fat Sal's and after the driveway entrance to the perpetual line of cars for In N' Out. They don't open until 4pm, and even then, they're a bit slow to start. We arrived shortly after they opened for the day, and they had just switched on the crepe pans and waffle irons. I had wanted to get a waffle, but it would have taken 15-20 minutes for the iron to be ready. The crepes are made-to-order, and they generous with the spread - whether it be Nutella, cookie butter or strawberry jam. You can choose two fillings from fruit (like banana or strawberries) to toppings (like Oreos or cheesecake bites). There are four flavors of ice cream to select from and a chocolate or caramel drizzle to finish. They cut the crepes for you, so you don't have to struggle with a plastic knife and fork.My only complaint is that ice cream wasn't quite up to the rest of the crepe (I skipped eating it). I would have preferred a nice dollop of whipped cream. Free 2 hour parking in the Broxton garage if you arrive before 5pm. It's a couple of blocks away, but it'll give you a chance to work off those calories. Dipnmix is definitely a deal you don't want to miss, especially if you're in the Village. Just make sure to arrive after 4pm (or a little later if you want a waffle) and share one with a friend, so you don't spoil your appetite for dinner. Or better yet, just make it your meal. I won't tell. read more

I came here with a friend after dinner and dipnmix hit the spot. You first order on a tablet and wait for it to be made. While they forgot to make my friend's order, the crepe and acai bowl they made for us were spectacular. I've never had a crepe where they've already cut the dough into already bite-sized pieces. I got a nutella crepe filled with strawberries and cheesecake topped with vanilla ice cream. Probably one of the best crepes I've had in my life! Heard there was a new crepe place in Westwood, so I had to check it out! The interior is really small with very few places to sit, and even then the only seating were high chairs. However, the most important aspect for a restaurant in Westwood is the price. For design-your-own crepes for under $5, the value of what you're getting is pretty good. I got a crepe with nutella, banana & strawberries, with vanilla ice cream, and a chocolate drizzle. Other toppings are an extra 45 cents. The proportion of ice cream to crepe is sorely lacking (in favor of more ice cream), but overall was pretty good. The crepe itself was a good flakey contrast to the ice cream and fruit. There's nothing too special about this place, but not everything needs a gimmick (like Millet Crepes) to be worth your money. read more

was craving acai bowls so i stopped by for the first time and was happily surprised by the unlimited toppings. you order at a kiosk type thing and can add any base and toppings you want and watch them make it in front of you. the guy working was nice, and we got our order pretty quickly. he packed on the toppings which was appreciated, and as for taste it wasn't bad. i got the matcha, dragonfruit, and acai bases, i wouldn't recommend the matcha honestly it was really icy and didn't really taste like matcha. the acai base was also a little too icy too but the dragonfruit was creamy enough. personally it wasn't my favorite texture for acai and it was a little too sweet for me but i also just don't like really sweet things so i'd still recommend giving it a try read more

Really great smoothie bowl place with lots of options for bases and toppings! You get to choose 3 bases and unlimited toppings. This place is my go-to when in Westwood and is pretty solid acai bowl place if I'm craving acai. Service can be a bit slow but the wait is worth it. Bases are nice and frozen (kind of similar to ice cream texture) and fruit is always pretty fresh and sweet. This place honestly deserves its almost 5 star rating. Best acai bowls in Westwood, maybe even in LA dare I say. The dudes who work here are chill and they load up bowls with unlimited toppings and a few different types of bases (dragonfruit, peanut butter acai, chocolate acai, and more). Love how late they're open too. A lot of students go here during the school year. The acai bowl place on campus is terrible in comparison to dipnmix. Oh they also have crepes, ice cream, and smoothies. read more

I had a wonderful experience there! One of the best crepes I've ever had in LA, not just Westwood. The owner is a great man and a hard worker. The way he does the crepe is really a form of art and consistency, I watched him do 4 crepes before doing ours and they all looked great. He seems to be working by himself so if there are several people you will wait around 5 minutes to get your order in place, but it's worth the wait. For the price, you're getting a loaded crepe rich with flavor and its dough is so crunchy and delicious you'll bite your fingers off once you're done. This will be my go to crepe place from now on! One thing to note is that the opening hours are a bit fumbled since he works by himself, sometimes he gets tired and closes early or opens late and if he has too many people inside the store it's hard for him to pick up the phone, so the best way for you to figure out if he's open is by passing by. read more

We also ordered the Invincible Power Wrap ($15), which tasted good but was honestly much smaller than I expected for the price. My favorite thing we tried was definitely Atom Eve's Energy Acai Bowl ($9). I love acai bowls and this one was refreshing with dragonfruit, strawberries, lychee, coconut flakes, and granola. I would order that again. We also shared the Viltrumite Training Cookies ($9). They were basically buttery sugar cookies but came in a pack of 3. Parking was probably the only annoying part. The shopping center seemed to only have valet, so I ended up finding free street parking in the neighborhood and walking about 10 minutes. One thing I thought was really cool was that the employees told us they completely change the theme every few months. They have done collaborations with Godzilla, Final Fantasy VII, and Arcane. I arrived around 6:13 AM, 17 minutes before opening, after dropping a friend off nearby for her work at Trader Joe's in Westwood who starts @6am. Usually when I have an early work call, I go to Bluestone Café because of the ambiance I've experienced before as a former UCLA Student, who is now Recently Graduated Btw. I asked Angel if it was okay to sit and get set up while HE finished opening, I also offered to help if needed, and he was friendly and understanding, and I only set up 1 table because it was out of the kindest of my heart AND he was awesome. Not even 6 minutes passed by but, I could tell he's a solid, smile oriented customer service worker with a big heart. A few minutes later, at 6:22am Carol approached me and told me to leave, after I had just ordered because Angel was treating me with 5 star hospitality! The restaurant was not open yet, AND I completely understand that a business has opening hours, and I would have had no problem waiting outside if that had been communicated respectfully by the "owner." The issue was the way the owner of Bluestone Café, Carol, spoke to me as her claiming she's "the owner" because she knows people in the district? Ok carol. She raised her voice, treated me like I was a problem, and made me feel extremely unwelcome. I left upset because the situation did not need to be handled that way. Angel, however, remained kind and professional, and I want to make clear that this review is not about him. Angel provided excellent customer service. "I was a disturbance," allegedly though to Carol when I asked why she raised her voice at me like that. No where near was I about to counter her asking me to leave originally, just wanted breakfast before my call and I was willing to wait, Angel knows it... but Carol? Man, she's lucky I didn't give a WORSE review than this one. By the way, this is my 3rd yelp review in the last 5 years, so when I gave the option for her not to act so disrespectful, she turned it up 10x. Completely unacceptable to treat anyone that way, and trust me I know the homeless problem in LA is bad. Hello I was in burberrys and a UCLA sweatshirt with my Tumi Backpack labeled "CB" (my initials), and in my 1300 european shoes I bought also known as burberrys... anyways I confusingly and surprisingly stated "I mean should I leave a 1star review?" Because I was astonished that the owner was continually being so disrespectful, but Carol responded by saying "I'm just going to counter it don't worry, we'll handle it"... who's we Carol? Overall, I was very disappointed by how the owner handled the situation. A simple, respectful explanation would have been enough. Instead, I felt disrespected and embarrassed, and I will not be returning to this location because of CAROL. :) However, Angel, and your coworkers, YOU guys are AWESOME for real. Food is good as always.
