Came in today after being told by the nearby Grubbs Infiniti that I had two nails in a tire and it was unable to be repaired (and they don't carry my tires). They sent me on my way, and thank god they did! Jon at Discount Tire greeted me and walked me through their process and policies professionally and courteously. Called and ordered my tires from this location. I really like America's Tires/Discount Tires. I've gotten tires from Ca locations and my sister only buys tires from this company. Service is always great. They are always nice and friendly. Tires were ordered and made my appointment for two days later. I went early but only one other person was there once they were done they started on my car. Less than 30 mins later my car was done. They price matched Costco which was nice. When you go in give them your telephone number and they can pull up your history from any previous locations work. So nice not having to tell them what you have done. read more

I'm not a huge fan of big chains usually but my whole family has been using Discount Tire since I was a kid - so I go where my dad tells me. They've always been great to me . . . . got a flat once on a road trip to California and when I rolled in to a store to get my tire fixed, the guy told me I needed new tires; being a poor college student on a road trip(yes Dad - I know I shouldn't have been spending cash on a road trip when I didn't have cash for tires) I couldn't really afford it but they said they had old tires that were in better shape than my current ones and changed them for me. That was enough for me to be a lifetime fan. This location I've used a ton - and they are great. Fast, efficient and yeah, they try to sell me the bigger better tires but it only takes one "I don't want to spend any extra money" for them to back off. And check out the appointments you can make online. I got four new tires and was in and out in less than an hour after making an appt. It was great. read more

I confess; I'm terrible when it comes to vehicle maintenance. I'll let my tires run bald before I'll replace them. That's why when inspection time came around, I knew I had to get a new set of tires. When I asked my friends where they go for cheap tires, they all unanimously voted "Discount Tire". I called the competitors, and Discount Tire lured me in with cheapest tire I could get for my truck. Yes, I did spring for a set of 4 cheap new tires...but they were private label Yokohama tires that should get me another 40 to 50k miles. And even better, they were offering a $100 mail-in rebate at the time of my purchase. This particular location has 4 bays, a spacious open showroom with lots of seating, and a good inventory of tires and wheels to choose from. As expected on a Saturday morning, all counters were were staffed and busy, but they still promised to get my truck done within the hour. FYI the price they quoted me over the phone was cheaper than in-store. When questioned about it, they tacked on an extra $14.50 per tire as part of their replacement tire program. I took it of course since I found it to be a great value, but it would have been nice if they had explained that option over the phone. I also recommend the online option since you get to see how much taxes and fees add to the sum total. I'd definitely be back for the friendly, fast service and cheap tires. read more

Pricing is always straightforward and competitive. Truth is I would pay a little more than the competition to shop here. This Discount Tire has been my go-to place for tires and wheels for many years now. While they're not always perfect, (but they usually are) - they ALWAYS take care of the customer if there's an issue. Bought wheels here for my son's car and we didn't realize until 6 months later that they were scraping on steering components when he turned full-lock. Even after that long, they replaced the wheels for no charge with some alternative wheels with a better offset. They'll credit back when replacing tires you purchased here that have worn prematurely (on tires with a mileage warranty), they now road-force balance all wheels and tires to minimize vibration, and they'll fix flats for free. Ask for a discount if you're buying a set of tires. In my experience they're almost always willing to shave a little off the price for you. Spencer is a great dude who will listen to you and take care of you and make you feel like family. read more

We have been a patron of Discount Tires for the past 12 years following a meeting with Barry McRay, the Mgr of the Grapevine store at that time, where he assisted with a tire warranty issue that NTB refused to address with the Manufacturer. The service and professionalism provided by Barry and his staff is superior when compared to other such service providers and consistent with each member or their team. This is still the case after Barry moved to another location. This always points to great leadership and is shown by example when working with Jeff Brach Sr. Assistant Manager at the Grapevine store to purchase two sets of tires this week. The prices are always competitive and their online reminders as a part of their maintenance program added to the free services provided when you have a tire problem between purchases make it the only place to purchase tires for our family. read more

I had to tell the guy FOUR (4) TIMES to fix the tire; simply airing up the tire is not an acceptable resolution. He did mention I needed new tires. There's nothing more disconcerting than being thousands of miles from home, pulling a 40' 5th wheel, and having a tire/mechanical problem with your truck. That was our situation. I suspected a tire problem and decided to visit Discount Tire because they are nationwide and because of the reviews here. First, this store gets an A for customer service. We were greeted by several employees and they let us know they would be with us ASAP. Our problem was diagnosed quickly. They had tires immediately available in the store for our dually at a fair price (based on my internet research). The purchase and installation went smoothly and we couldn't be happier with the result. A special callout to Spencer Vernon who was our point of contact throughout the process. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and always had a smile on his face. He not only worked the front of the store, but was also frequently pitching in in the service bays to move things along. Our process had a few wrinkles before we were finally done, but Spencer was patient and helpful throughout. He's an asset to the operation! As mentioned, our process was not without some wrinkles that I would put under the category of 'lack of attention to detail' out in the service bays. For example, a front and rear wheel were swapped. The technician said 'they are the same wheel and they fit just fine'. The problem was that the rear wheels are polished aluminum and the front wheel is not. Back to the store to have them swapped. Another example, one of the outside dual tires was installed in such a way that I could not get to the inner tire valve stem to check or add air. Back to the store again to have the outer tire adjusted so I could reach the inside tire. Each time, the problem was solved quickly. But these things shouldn't have happened to begin with if there was better attention paid during the installation process. I won't call out the technician here, but they know who he is. Hopefully, he is coached to avoid this in the future with other customers. In any case, we highly recommend this store if you need tire service in the Grapevine area. read more

I went for a nail in my tire and was told it would take 1 hour. I listened as people checked in and after an hour the people that didn't have an appointment were now getting in before me. Two hours later, I said something, and they told me that those people had appointments. I hate when people lie, I knew they didn't have an appointment. After they pulled my car in, they bring it back and said they couldn't find a leak. I tell him that I can see the tire is still low. He got frustrated and tells me that a tire isn't round when it's on the ground, and the tire looks like that because the engine is heavier. OMG!! He's talking to me like I'm an idiot. I just waited for him to finish his rant, and told him again, if you look at the tire you can see it's low. He said he will go get a tire gauge and manually show me that it's fine. He checked the 3 other tires first and when he checked the tire, it barely showed any pressure. He paused for a long time and now he doesn't have any words, he just says he will pull it back in. The manager goes out and looks at it and checks the tire himself and finds the nail. He comes back and tries to complain how it didn't get found the first time. If at any time they checked the tire pressure, they would have found it. I've been here 2 hrs and 45 minutes. The guy starts programing my car to except the tire pressure. I told him I would do it myself because I don't trust the pressure is correct. He says many people don't know how to program it and kept insisting he would do it. I said no again, and that I will check it when I get home. The pressure was not correct! read more

I came in for a flat tire, and chose discount because they were close to my office and competitive in price. Two days later my new tire was flat. I came in first thing, and was greeted my their staff that remembered me by name. The rushed my car right in, and we quickly discovered it wasn't the tire it was a cracked wheel. They gave me options, were honest about what would not only be cost efficient, but time efficient. They even put a couple options on my car so I can see how it would look as a finished product. Long wait, no big deal dropped my keys off and said I'm going to run around town. Please call me when done. Shoulda double checked when they closed. No call received until after they closed. 6:48 pm. Hey your cars done. Sorry we closed at 6 and someone will be here for about 5 more minutes. And no we can't leave your keys in the car. 2 hours down the drain playing car shuffle with spare keys. I will be a Discount Tire customer for life. I have always had great interactions with their employees (regardless of the location I've visited), and I really appreciate their service. I stopped by the Grapevine location today (a Friday during the lunch hour) after my tire air pressure light came on. I pulled up to their free air check bay, and Jon was quick to check and fill up my tires. I was back on the road about 2 minutes after I pulled in. You can't get speedy service with a friendly attitude like that anywhere else. read more

Brandon and team On December 12 we take the "wife's" 1987 Blazer and throw a set of new Cooper Discovery 35/12.5R15 on it. (Yup the Blazer is a beast) looks good and good price! At the same time I get all 4 TPMS replaced on the new Fuel Rims with Nitto Tires that I bought here in the Spring. Now for the bad news, 24 hours later driving in narrow bad section of 114 a loud hiss is heard and immediately the right goes flat at 60mph. I got it stopped and moved back to the only 40 ft of area I was not on the lane rush hour traffic. I find that the valve stem is gone less than a happy camper at this time. I change the tire, survived the texters racing by and get back on the road back to Discount Tire to see Mr Brandon. Yes I was a little frustrated but Brandon immediately took over the damaged Fuel Rim, the cut tire and now broken TPMS Is being replaced and took the other 3 tires off to recheck and balance again. This was very unfortunate that the original stem was not properly installed the tires were also off balance but hats off to Brandon and his management I never asked for anything as they took immediate action and we're open and honest the prior tech failed to install stem and also dos not balance them properly. I will be back in the future to buy tires (may watch the installer closer though). read more

The manager, Jon, greeted me in the parking lot and saw my dilemma and said he would work on opening early to get me on my way. I ended up needing a new wheel (bought 4 so they would match) and Jon called around until he found them for me but it would be late in the day for delivery. To my surprise, Jon called a few hours later and had my car ready. Jon and his team were super friendly, courteous and prompt. Communication was great. My car looked amazing! Discount tire has long offered a "road hazard warranty" or something similar. Not a good deal in my opinion. I've always been offered but respectfully declined. On a recent visit to the Grapevine Mills location, I needed to purchase one replacement tire for my wife's car. In my haste, I left without reviewing all charges on the receipt. A dishonest, sneaky salesman there named Colt snuck the extra charge in there without discussing it with me. For me, this is a black eye on a company with an otherwise good reputation. After realizing it after I got home, I called the store. Another employee told me that a refund could be issued, but I would have to return to the store for it to happen. I made another trip to the store to make this happen. I believe salesmen there are paid commission for adding extra charges like these. It is very dishonest to add it without discussing it with the customer. If you must do business here, avoid a salesmen named Colt and double check your charges before you pay. I will take my business to other locations. read more

I noticed my left rear tire had a nail in this morning. I searched for the Discount Tire store near my office which was the one in Grapevine. I went online and made an appointment for 8:15 AM. This was at 5:30 AM!!! I did a few things at the office thinking I had an appointment. When I arrived at the store at 8:10 AM, there was a line of about 6 people. I told the counterman I had an appointment at 8:15 AM. he told me to get in line as there are several people here with appointments at 8:15. I said, Then, appointments don't mean much do they? He gave me some lame excuse and to take a place in line. I took my place in line at NTB down the street and where I did not have to wait to be get my service.
