I ordered letter donuts for a bday party and it was a hit with all our guests. They charge $3.50 per letter donut; $3 if more than 10 letters. Their chocolate (devil's food) cake donut is delicious. It's soft on the inside and has a nice crisp on the outside. Their ube coconut donut is to die for. Just on those two donuts alone--5/5. They are crave worthy decadent donuts worth every calorie for those moments you want to splurge. My go-to donut store in the OC area! I am always so happy whenever I purchase my desserts here. I've brought custom donuts to my dinners and all my guests gush over how cute and most importantly, HOW GOOD the donuts also taste!! They have cereal donuts, character designed donuts, etc! I can tell that the donuts are ALWAYS fresh here and the dough is just delicious and addicting. By far my favorite breakfast shop. Not only is this the ideal place to get fresh donuts, but I have tried their sandwiches and different toast that they offered. Some mornings I have to debate which one to get, because they're all so good! It's not just a good food place, their smoothies are freshly made as well! Make sure you get there early - especially on the weekends - because they run out quick. And be prepared to wait in a line, but it's definitely worth the wait. Staff members are friendly and professional. They have regular donuts, donut holes, fun donuts (like fruity pebbles), cronuts, breakfast sandwiches (i.e. ham & cheese croissant) , coffee, ready-to-go drinks. Prices are reasonable. Be very careful and ASK FOR PRICES BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!! They will over charge you when you're not paying attention. The first three times they did this to me I thought was a mistake but this last time I can't give them the benefit of the doubt because they did it to someone going through drive thru at same time and he called them out and rechecked and saw they did it to me too. Covid-19 review. We wanted donuts for breakfast and went to its drive thru. I wanted to get the glazed ube donut, but they didn't have any when I was there. The donuts are really great if you have a huge sweet tooth. The red velvet is my sister's favorite, but they are a bit of a sugar overload for me. The glazed twists are fluffy and the right amount of sweetness. The donuts are little pricey; I got 3 for $4. The selection is always limited after 10am, which kind of sucks because we are not early birds. The cronuts are good too, but the icing is just too sweet. If they toned down the sweetness, we would definitely go more often. read more

This seems to be a chain because there are many in socal. Because of this, I was not expecting much. I wanted their red velvet oreo donut but the guy who took my order had no idea. He said they didn't have it even though it was on their menu in the store... I ended up getting a blue sprinkle donut. It was very mid. It was too sweet and had no flavor besides that of the oil it was fried in. It was drenched in it. I couldn't finish it. An old man who works there was very kind though and gave us a coffee for free. I am not usually into glazed donuts, but these are the best glazed I've ever had. Especially when they come out fresh. The glazed donut is not to hard or doughy, it melts in your mouth and has a light vanilla taste to it. There is a large variety of donuts, including specialty donuts with cereals, candy's, and even bacon on them. Some are even in the form of Pokemon. The specialty donuts are a bit more expensive, but worth it. A unique thing they have here is the "cronut", a combination of a donut and a crossant. I have tried the chocolate and nutelle, but the maple bacon cronut is so soo good, def recommend. The breakfast croissants are also very good, they use white cheese. This is probably one of the oldest, most consistent, and generally awesome donut shops in all of Orange County. It has been in this unique location for at least 30 years, if not longer - the cool retro signage is your first clue. They are probably coming up on 10 million donuts served, at least. Maybe more. Since the place is like an institution, it is regularly busy, and that means fresh, hot donuts every morning. You can order from the standard panoply of donuts that most shops have, or choose from about 18 different sandwiches, including rather tasty breakfast ones on hot croissants. They also have fairly excellent coffee, including iced coffee, and many different kinds of bottled drinks as well. In addition to the standard walk-up counter, they also have a drive-thru, which is more like a drive-up window, but it gets the job done. They open super early in the morning and stay open until early afternoon. The strange wedge-shaped lot it's on makes parking a bit difficult and if it's really busy you are going to be out of luck looking for a spot. There are a just few seats inside, and this place was really meant for take-out anyway. Five stars for the location, convenience, and staying power. I've come here many times on the way to work and will probably continue to make it a regular stop. read more

We have tried to come here twice now, both times closed. This time, Saturday shortly before 12, still open but not much left. Regular, blueberry or peach cronuts left, I went with peach as well as a carrot cake donut. Both were good, great even, the donut better than the cronut though. The cronut was a bit chewy, not crispy, not what I expected or wanted. The donut excellent, 5 stars, i would come back and pass on the $3 cronut and get a few more donuts instead. Think of an alternative before visiting this DK's location. I am a BIG TIME donut fan. I make it a point to visit donut shops when traveling. Regardless if it's due to the COVID pandemic or just bad practices, 10 of the 12 donuts I purchased yesterday morning at 7am were dry, crumbly, and outright stale. I should have snacked on one in the car, but I brought them home so it was too late to return them (which I would have if only out of principle). $17 for a dozen expired donuts, SHAME ON YOU DK's. Next time I will outright ask WHEN WERE THESE DONUTS MADE... The Orange and Lake Forest location have never disappointed, they have scrumptious, soft, doughy treats that are bragworthy.
