Coming here was a result of a fellow Yelper who checked in and I realized I had a craving for some wings. The shop is in a plaza just off Country Club so make sure you pay attention to your GPS to turn. Its located just under the awning area so you could miss it as a lot of signage from neighboring businesses is busy. Once I did find the spot, I came in with a big appetite. I went with 1/2 dozen of Lemon Pepper Wings, 1/2 dozen of Honey Hot, and when I saw Fried Catfish on the menu, I thought to myself, "yeap" let's do this. So I got the 3 piece Catfish with Fries... I held off on the mac & cheese as I had things to do in the afternoon and I knew it would weigh me down. In a way, I regret not getting the mac and cheese to try. Wings were great and seasoned well with the dry rub and the wet wasn't overkill. The Catfish was seasoned right and good, but I wasn't a big fan of the fries as they were a bit thicker than I anticipated, (I think I had in mind some "crinkle cut" style fries) but these were still good. If you come in for an order like this, expect 15-20 mins before it's ready. Best bet is to call in your order for pickup. Next time I come through I'm going after the Deep Fried Hot Link and the mac and cheese... Wings of course are 1st priority as they were a hit! read more

I've been meaning to try this spot for a while, and I am so glad I did. Tucked away in a small strip mall you will find this awesome wing spot. The mango habanero sauce is some of the best I've ever had, so yummy. And I also couldn't get enough of the lemonade! I definitely will be back here. If you're anywhere near, I would stop in! Ok, this little joint IS the joint. I know it by its Catfish and maybe the best Greens (collared) I've ever tasted. I've heard everything else is equally excellent. Our food took a while so def recommend calling the food in. Loved the vibes and the artist and collages on the wall. We got the 2 catfish w/side, the 12 wings (honey bbq & garlic Parmesan), and extra side of Mac&cheese and Buffalo sauce. I couldn't decide between Buffalo and garlic Parmesan, so I got the garlic Parmesan, and a side of buffalo to dip them in. Yummmmy! The mack was good, seemed like it had a breading in it. Wasn't a fan of the honey bbq but I don't normally like that flavor. My boyfriend seemed to like them. The catfish was AHHHHMazing omg. And it took a while for me to get my order because he was only one person working on a Friday night the gentleman was very nice very good customer service. But the wait was just too long. There were people calling and then he had people coming through the door as well. The wings were tasty. They were flavorful. But small. Not a lot of meat on them. Believe me when I say this is where you want to get your wings! I get a lot of takeout and it wouldn't be a Friday night without wings. Typically we always settled for Wingstop because it's somewhat better than Buffalo Wild Wings and a bit better of a price. I was always curious about trying Dmac because I would prefer to support a local business rather than feed the corporate beasts and right off the bat I noticed the prices were fair for the amount of wings. What keeps me coming back is the juicy, perfectly cooked and drenched wings! I am what you call a wing connoisseur and I absolutely know how to throw down in the kitchen. I ain't playing when I say these wings are made with the same kind of love that SpongeBob's grandma puts into those cookies. Don't even get me started on the extreme hot sauce! It's physically addictive. I've only had an extreme hot sauce like that one other time in my life and that's a flavor you never forget. I highly recommend getting your wings with dirty fries. Fries cooked and seasoned to perfection topped with sloppy Joe, ya cant beat it. As long as I live in Mesa I will be ordering my wings from Dmac. I was super excited to try this place based on the reviews, but I was quickly let down. We ordered the fish and mac, the fish and fries, greens, the sloppy joe (holy nostalgia, I just had to try it) and the banana pudding. First, all of the fish tasted old, and I mean freezer burnt, way past its prime old. The greens were just ok and the Mac and cheese was the same. The fries were the only thing I was completely happy with. The sloppy joe was really just basic, which wasn't bad, wasn't spectacular either. The banana pudding I can't speak on because I didn't receive it. Normally I would call and complain about something like that, as well as the old fish, but I just don't even have the energy to jump through hoops tonight. Maybe the wings are their golden goose? D-Mac is a neat little truck in Mesa open up late night. Don't allow the food truck status to fool you because it has tons of character. This is mainly because of the person who manages it. I've only visited once and already noticed the kind and positive efforts and enthusiasm. On top of this the food is delicious, perfect for late night munchies or even for a house functions.
