The team at Don Rucker took excellent care of me. It was a Friday afternoon at 4:30 and as I came across Mansfield Dam I hit an object in the road and my rear passenger tire began to lose air fast. I rolled into Don Rucker with 3 PSI of air left in my tire. One of my biggest fears was in action, I'm a Minister and I was on my way to Dripping Springs to perform a wedding at 5:30. I went inside and shared my concern with the team and immediately three of them jumped into action. They looked at my tire size, one started removing the damaged tire, another started looking for a replacement, the other helped me with the paperwork and as a team, they began to work efficiently and quickly to help me get back on the road. In a matter of minutes, they had me back on the road with a great replacement tire and as a team; they took excellent care of me. I made it to my wedding 7 minutes late, but without the team at Don Rucker all jumping into immediate action, I would've been much later. There were other customers they were taking care of at the same time, but they rotated what was needed to help me get back on the road quickly and it ensured a beautiful bride, groom and family just a few minutes up the road still had their wedding start within a few minutes of their scheduled start time. I came here needing a flat repair. When I went in, I told them I needed my tire patched and that my wheel lock is on my seat. They were done in just a couple of minutes. I knew right away they plugged my tire and not patched it. Plugging tires is not a good thing. It can lead to separation. The guy up front, even though he's very nice, I think disagrees because he said he has 3 plugs in his tire right now. But, my biggest thing is, why didn't they tell me they didn't need my wheel lock key right then and there if they were going to plug my tire? We coulda had this all worked out before the repair was done so there was no confusion. And think the plug was still 15 dollars. Another 5 at most shops woulda got patched. I don't mind spending money on the patch for a 350 dollar tire. Anyway, it's not a 1 star because of the friendliness and because plugging is not illegal, just frowned upon, depending on who you talk to, I'm giving them 2 stars. Rucker has kept my 2004 G35 running for the last few years, from oil changes to cracked radiators and everything in between. Just had some struts replaced and rear bearings done. Outstanding service all around!!! I scheduled an 8:00 AM appointment for a suspension leveling kit for my 2017 F250. I showed up and they had everything ready, in addition, they gave me a ride back to my home and said they'd be finished with it by noon. I received a call at 11:15 telling me that they're on the way to my home with my completed vehicle. Everything was done perfectly. I felt like the undercover reporters on TV. Had taken the car to a different repair shop & asked them to test the battery. The other guy said the battery was fine (no charge for testing), but said he would have to take the car into the shop to test the alternator & would have to charge for that. Drove down the road to Rucker's, where the mechanic tested the battery & the alternator with the same gadget and told me the alternator was fine, but the battery was failing. He handed me the printed report from the gadget, no charge for either test. Then he pointed to the battery & said, "This one is still under warranty - take it back to where you got it & save some $$$." This is THE place to go for an honest mechanic ! Dropped my car off at "Don Ruckers tire and automotive specialist" yesterday around 10 am to get new shoes and to get a badly needed alignment. They told me that it would be done same day by CoB. At CoB I get a call from company saying all they have done is put tires on. Will have to align tomorrow. I told them as long as they are complete by 10 am so that I can make it to the airport on time. They said it should be. Get a call the next day at 10am saying car is finished. So I catch a ride down to the tire shop to go pay for and pickup the car. After paying for the work done I then proceed to my car to take home. I open the door and first thing I noticed was part of my clutch peddle was on the floor. I was like I did ride this thing pretty hard and put her up pretty wet so could have been me. I start the car put my hand on the shifter nob to check neutral, and the shifter nob falls off. So I pick up parts that had fallen off and carried them into the store and asked everyone there what happened. Everyone in unison said "I Don't Know". I then preceded to tell them I know exactly what happened. One of you decided to go beat up in a car that is not yours. The only way my shifter nob could have come off is someone missing 2nd gear and pulled the nob clean off the car. How do I know this you ask? It's because that is how I broke the first one. 1st time customer. Took my rig in because it was leaking power steering fluid talked to Keith everything was fine, until I picked up the truck, truck would not idle without stalling. When I opened the hood two wires were broken/ pulled out during installation of the power steering hose. Which someone should have known because the truck was moved and the car wouldn't idle. Mechanic ( Bill ) as he told me would Mickey mouse it so I could drive it, Never offering to replace that broken part. Two days later i notice that a clamp to my air inlet is missing. Again I call talk to Keith he says come over and they'd replace it. After learning he would replace it with an after market clamp, I wasn't happy. It was an original part they lost. Keith seemed annoyed by my request that I would like the original piece back, again this is a well maintained vehicle , I'm the original owner. The piece was there when they worked on it now I have a Broke electrical plug that ( Bill ) as he said mickey moused and a missing clamp. Not sure If I'd go back and to be honest, I don't think they really care if I do. At least that's they way they made me feel. Hope this is helpful to someone. read more

First time I ordered tires from Tirebuyer and DRT&W was a recommended installer. I also purchased a 12-month guaranteed alignment. They installed, but over inflated tires. My car PSI is 32 clearly labeled on the door jam. I was told car was ready; jumped in and drove off only to notice that they inflated to 48 and 47. Immediate u-turn for them to fix. Today, I took my car for an additional two tire installation, plus another car 4-tire installation. I asked for them to check alignment since replacing with two new tires and I felt it pulling to the right. Also informed him it was under 12 month warranty for alignment. I also asked them to do alignment on the other car (sports car) since they said is was recommended since they were installing 4-tires. Short guy with glasses stated they would take the car under warranty for a drive to see if they needed to adjust alignment. I told him it was still under warranty and wanted them to hook it to computer to read to check, not take it on a test drive. I again told them to check that the PSI is done according to car recommendations and relayed that they way overinflated my tires to 48 instead of 32 last time. Short guy with glasses said alignment is fine and my car was ready. He then said the sports car needed Inner and Outer tie rods, plus alignment for $510, plus cost of alignment. Jumped in the first car (the one under the alignment warranty), and lo and behold, tires inflated to 40 and 42, not 32. Went back in and asked them to fix to standard and then took the sports car that allegedly needed Inner and Outer tie rods down the street to another mechanic given DRT&W couldn't seem to get a simple tire inflation right. Didn't trust them to do tie rods. Well, guess what? Those 4- tires were overinflated to 44, 42, 40 and 41 - car jam said 33. Guess what else? Didn't need Inner / Outer tie rods - everything looked "good and tight". Guess what else? Didn't even need an alignment (on the sports car, though the other car with alignment warranty still pulls despite DRT&W not wanting to honor warranty and fix THAT alignment). Don't appreciate being ripped off. I just don't even like that they are a TIRE INSTALLER and on two separate occasions, on three cars, they failed to properly inflate the tires. More than a mistake when it happens every time - it's the way they do business. read more

I had to have my truck towed to Rucker's when I had a flat and niether I nor AAA could get the lug nuts off. I had not been to Rucker's since I bought the tires over two years ago. They got the wheel off, swapped the spare tire that had better tread with the repaired tire rim, wheel back on, and spare put away in thirty minutes, no charge and on my way.
