Visited this place yesterday 9/24/2022, the customer service was horrible, but the winner of last nights horrible meal was the food poisoning my wife got. She prayed to the toilet gods to take her life. She ordered the chicken tacos, was only able to eat two of the tacos before her stomach started to twist and turn. Mainly a tourist restaurant. Food was overpriced and not good. Silverware was dirty. Service was slow. Frozen margaritas OK Service was extremely slow and then they delivered wrong item. Never had worse chicken fajitas. Small portion but not real fajitas. No sizzling plate on table. Looked like they just put some chicken on a grill pan over onions and peppers. We've paid less and gotten larger portions and better quality almost any where else. Sadly if you work downtown and want to walk somewhere with coworkers, you're stuck with these types of places. Do not come here for mexican food. The food tastes like it is a day old, especially the rice. The grilled chicken was blackened and burnt. The menu is one page long with very few options. To make it worse, the food is outrageously expensive. Most dinner options are over $20, despite them very being simple dishes like enchiladas and burritos. The service is nothing to ride home about and the floors are quite filthy. With there being so many locations to eat in atlanta with much greater food, I do not recommend this location to any one. You're much better off eating anywhere else if you really want Mexican food. read more

My mom and I were starving after Coca Cola world so we stopped in here on our way back our hotel, and right when we walked in I could just tell that it was gonna be good by the atmosphere. We were immediately sat and given free chips and salsa which was soooo good, the chips were warm which I thought was a very nice touch. I got the picadillo beef tacos and they were amazing! The beef was super flavorful and juicy. I also got the Mexican corn and I literally could not stop eating it because it was THAT good. The reason i'm making this a five-star review though is because of the wonderful service we had. Our server, Diamond, was super nice and very prompt. She was just so friendly and you could tell that she cares about the customers. We loved having her! This truly was a gem of a find in Atlanta! read more

**This review is from a visit on March 10th** When New Orleans meets Atlanta-Mex. Perfect for me! A lunch time craving for mexican with a flare I encountered Dos Bocas. Yes, two mouths - one for Cajun and one for Mexican. If only I had come here for happy hour! Located in a busy downtown area we were able to be seated immediately. Side note: Off to the bathroom? You'll have to exit the restaurant and visit the Hilton (connected). For starters, their gumbo soup. A tad spicy but nothing my taste buds couldn't handle, very rich and hearty nicely made. For lunch: Chicken Toluca. A chicken breast smothered in cheese along with tasty beans and rice. Trust me, this was so good I ate them all both! Time for a nap! Good place. read more

We were staying in downtown Atlanta for business looking for a good places to eat. This restaurant presents well online and had great reviews, but when we arrived the entire downstairs was closed making it look like the business was entirely closed. Upon further inspection we were told that the upstairs was open, but there was no signage indicating that. We went upstairs and the place was empty. Staff was hanging around and joking not seeming to give a crap that they were customers or not. Really poor representation for this business read more

We came here and it was relatively empty. We were told it was a wait but that we could go upstairs to the bar. We went and were told to grab a table. Then the manager who told us to go upstairs came and said we couldn't be seated because there was a wait. Mind you we were already seated. The manager was rude and unaccommodating. We were in town for the Queen concert and staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. We were pressed for time, so decided to to have dinner in the hotel at the Dos Bocas Mexican restaurant. We had a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant was spacious and clean. The fresh chips and salsa were a delightful start, and the guacamole and queso were both incredibly delicious. One word... DISGUSTING! Ordered Tacos and Queso to go for the very first and absolute LAST time on a whim. The queso is melted Velveeta cheese and the ground beef for the tacos taste like a mix for chili cheese dogs just HORRIBLE. The young lady at the hostess stand was nice however, they didn't have change in the register so we had to wait. The manager and cooks did not seem to really take pride in the food nor the customers. It's a shame I have to put 1 star. The service was great, the food was great... being a Hilton Diamond and Owner , I have eaten at many restaurants attached to the hotels and on premises. Why am I giving this place one star- the horrible MANAGEMENT.. I can tell you the snide, eye rolling manager treats his employees terribly needs to remove himself from the service industry. Very snotty when I asked a question. Just to jolt his memory when he reads this, there was a homeless man outside that was disabled I asked if there was a place to call for these types of things (311? Shelter, police etc) I'm from out of town. He rolled his eyes and told me to go to the front desk of the hotel. Ahhh I'm eating there why would I do that? He said we don't handle that (ok no one asked you, who does handle that's what I asked?) the guy needs help... he told me to go and get a security guard. I refused as a patron eating there he should assist with anything with safety outside the front door, peoples concerns inside, and over concerns for the community between a nasty belligerent homeless person and a person in need. I asked the homeless man if I could buy him a meal and my husband called shelters for him to get to. Once the security guard came we were able to assist the man. However I went back to the meal upset that this manager actually works with people he was really rude to me. I heard some talk and complaints and left upset and never came back. read more

I was looking forward to a good Tex Mex meal while my daughter attended the 2021 CFA Bowl. Go Pitt! However, to my surprise at 7:30 pm they were only doing carry out and had run out of chips. That's not the best part though. I ordered a quesadilla to take back to the room thinking it would be a fairly safe bet to eat in the room. Unfortunately, it was a very messy quesadilla that required plastic ware to eat and of course none were included. Maybe I hit them on an off night, but logically with a bowl game in town they should have been far better prepared. There are plenty of other restaurants around the Hilton Garden Inn. This place was the one of the worst food of our trip, with Waffle House being the worst. The hotel it's connected to was also trash service for the amount of money paid to stay there. Will never return to either. Called in a big Togo order for a bride and her bridal party. Said around 30 min. I waited at least 50 to make sure it would be ready. It wasn't. No one really acknowledges me for around 8 minutes and once I finally got a spot at the bar, the order still wasn't ready for another 20 minutes. We were on a time crunch, so this was completely unacceptable. I asked for sour cream. It wasn't in the bag. I will say the only reason it isn't one Star is the manager and crew member walked up to my room with me to carry the food. That was nice. However the quality of the food was awful. The rice was dry, the enchiladas were tough. The po boy had way too much bread and was hard to eat. The girl ended up throwing it out. Ceaser salad was mushy. I would never come back here. They also gave us 4 dishes we didn't order, which was cool I guess, if the food had been edible. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I had a photo shoot in Centennial Park and came here with my photographer afterward to grab food and pick out my preferred shots. I was starving because I'd been fasting since the night before and it was going on 20 hours. I remembered this restaurant when it was under construction, so I was interested to try it out. We walked in and were greeted and sat. Our server came over with chips and salsa, then brought us water while we looked at the menu. The menu was very intriguing...Cajun and Tex-Mex?? Hmm...okay lol. I'm not a big salsa fan, but this salsa was really good. The chips were as well. I wound up ordering the enchilada verde which comes with rice and charro beans. My food came out rather quickly and I began to eat. The enchiladas were good, but with all the toppings, there was a lot going on and all the extra stuff wound up getting in the way. I didn't like the charro beans at all, and the rice was subpar. I wasn't too fond of what I ordered, but am willing to try something from the Cajun side of the menu. Our server mentioned this place is a tequila bar and has many different types of tequila, so I'd like to come back and try some of their cocktails. The location of this restaurant was very convenient. It's attached to the Hilton Garden Inn. The atmosphere was very laid back. Overall the staff was very friendly but it took a while to be served our drinks. I ordered the Smothered Burrito plate. Overall the rice was pretty good, a tad bland but decent. I had Coke so it was as usual. My burrito was different. The sauce on top of the Burrito was giving Italian Marinara rather than Mexican. That was a bit off-putting. The filling was well-seasoned and tasted great. The salsa and chips did not disappoint. So I'm not sure what the deal was but I wouldn't highly recommend it. While I think the concept and idea is great, there is a lot that can be improved. To Start the chips and salsa are good. However, if you are going to charge $10 for Guacamole it should be fresh and made table side. I am not sure why the Guacamole I am sharing with my son is Ice Cold. As for the Queso, $8 for Velveeta ($4.98 at Walmart) and a can of Rotel ($.98 at Walmart) is obviously something anyone can do at home. The entrees were decent. The taco with beef picadillo did not have a lot of flavor, the Hamburgeusa was well dressed, but the beef patty was also kind pf plain. The nachos were plentiful, but again nothing to rave about. Two stars for the wait staff and the bartender. In order for this place to thrive they may need to look for new management. Went here on 5/14 and the server was so pleasant and her recommendation was spot on with the lemon chicken. We can't back for lunch on 5/15. We ordered two Cobb salads. It took over 30 minutes so the bartender took one of the salads off for our wait. The manager came over and put it back on saying waiting over 30 minutes should be expected. For salads with no one in your restaurant?! No sir it should not be expected and the fact that you reverse something that someone did looks really horrible and showed you did not care about the service or our time.
