I was super excited to see a new Mexican restaurant opening so close to my home. I went in for a late lunch around two and the restaurant was pretty empty. I ordered a simple chicken burrito and when it came out (after 20 mins) it was kind of cold and so were the rice and beans on the side. I figured it was my first time so I would order something simple figuring they couldn't screw that up. Boy was I wrong. I bit into something hard halfway through my burrito and couldn't figure out what it was so I threw away the rest of my meal. I'm sad to say this is just another terrible overpriced restaurant in the area. Baja Fresh would have been a better choice. read more

I'm a UC Davis alumni so when I saw they were here- my husband (also a UC Davis alumni) and I could not resist after a long bike ride. Don't expect "authentic" Mexican food- that is NOT what they advertise anyway. Expect fresh and local ingredients put together in creative ways. There are plenty of Mexican places. Dos Coyotes is different and as another reviewer says- has a huge UC Davis following. read more

Got food poisoning from the fish tacos last night. Would recommend avoiding fish at this restaurant.

Got there at about 730-7/45 on a Friday and the line was not long at all. I had the 3 taco basket which was just the right amount of food I was looking for (not hungry enough for a burrito). My wife was very impressed by the GF menu-she has Celiacs so sometimes it is hard to find a good Mexican place where she can get something other than Tacos/salad. She went with the burrito bowl and it was awesome (good amount of guac). Margaritas were good and there is a good selection to chose from. Salas bar is also impressive-lots of choices. read more

Nice surprise in this out of the way version of Dos!

The food is really good but the order process sucks and is inefficient. Low number of cashiers on a Friday at 11:00 AM with folks standing around and not realizing the line was getting longer by the second. No need for cashier to put ice in glass cups when there is a soda machine that dispenses ice. The wooden spoons for the salsa bar are too small, you need 4 scoops to fill a tiny cup and they spill. This makes the salsa bar crowded when it doesn't need to be. Also, not all salsa options were available by 11:15 AM. Again, the food is delicious and they did just open, but they need to iron out some of the kinks. read more

When they opened beans and rice much better then last visit on 6-17. Rice had corn in it a no no, Beans almost seemed canned. To much garnish over plate I couldn't see the enchilada. The taco was spot on. Please go back to the cooking style when you opened. Overall taste ok, but could be better. read more

Dos Coyotes is a great place to grab great food! I am so glad to have this in the area. They have a great selection of food and drinks including margaritas and draught and bottled beers. The portion sizes are very generous and a great price too. Dos Coyotes has something for everyone! read more

Visited this place while back in the Bay Area and I am so lucky I found it. Had heard from some friends that went to UC Davis, that they loved this original spot. I see why. Happened to visit on their official grand opening night. Quite busy but we got through the ordering line in about 5 minutes. It did take some time for the food to arrive however. Portions were very generous and taco salad very good. Down side is no chips to munch on unless one orders and pays for chips. So Happy there is finally a family friendly, affordable restaurant with delicious food minutes from West Dublin. The variety, quality, and price point of this Southwest cuisine is impressive. The seasonal specials are always a must try accompanied by a $5 margarita. The salads are amazing and so are the portions. The Shrimp tacos/burtitos are my favorites. We came for dinner around 7:30 on a Thursday night and found the restaurant to be fairly busy, though not overcrowded. The patio was full, but there were several available tables indoors. We ordered at the counter (4 meals) and our food was delivered to our table in less than 10 minutes. Portions were generous and everything was fresh and tasty. The prices were good. The food was OK. The salsa bar was disappointing. We were trying to decide between this place and another back in Danville for lunch. We based our choice primarily on their salsa bar and all the reviews here on yelp. Only one of the salsas had any flavor to it at all. Everything was super bland. The chips had zero salt on them. Which, normally, is fine, but with the lack of flavor of the salsas, the bland chips just seemed to make it worse. It's an OK place to grab a quick lunch, but I'd skip the salsas entirely. read more

Honestly the food was pretty good probably a 3 or 4 out of five and most the people were really nice but it really disturbed me when I saw a man who seemed to be the manager wearing a button up pour a beer into a glass and then drink it in the open. This should never be done in a restaurant especially in the open for customers to see. I definitely will not be returning. read more

I was really exited to see a new chain restaurant open up, especially after the Chevy's down the road closed down. The food is good, the atmosphere is immersive and enjoyable, but can get a little loud at times. I wouldn't sit outside, though, as I have had many encounters with birds and flies around. The lines are kind of slow, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Overall, I was pretty happy about my experience at the place, and is now one of my go-to Tex Mex spots. read more

Have been to Dos Coyotes a few times. My kids love eating here, especially for their bean and cheese burritos and paella burritos. The staff is new but friendly. There were a few hiccups but as the staff gets more experience, things will likely run more smoothly. read more

I brought my family here and could not have had more fun. The service was exceptional- every single person who helped us was friendly, efficient and eager to help. This place was packed!! Placed an order to go via online. When you first walk in it is a little confusing on where to go but a gentleman came up right away and pointed us in the right direction. At first they couldn't find the order but once mentioned it was placed online they found it quickly for us. Everything was correct in our order, my husband got a pulled pork burrito and I got the shrimp burrito. We also ordered guacamole and chips. At first sight the burritos didn't look super filling but by the time my husband and I finished them we were both stuffed! The guacamole was super tasty, probably one of the best I ever had! Super satisfied and will definitely be going back! Only suggestion we have is to put up a sign for where to pick up the to go orders so people know where to go upon entering! Can't wait to go back! I came with a group of 10 people including my friends and colleagues from work. Everyone got their order except for me, as I believe they either forgot about it, or gave mine to someone else. I reminded them that I'm still waiting for my shrimp burrito. The owner/GM then told me that it's coming right out. By the time it came out, everyone almost finished their lunch, and my order was incorrect. It was a chicken burrito instead, and it was horrible and cold. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere, even Chipotle would be a better choice. read more

We gave it another try. Probably our 6th time at least. Nacho's are a bit better with the increased beans, chicken and cheese. Although, I asked for more cheese this time. Otherwise it's chips with some stuff on top. Not melted cheese on chips with lots of yummy stuff, the way it should be. Hubby still had to return his burrito that was wrong. I'm not sure why cooks aren't reading the order. Still is chaotic there. There's got to be a better system. So many employees and line is always long, food takes so long to come out and employees always walking around looking for table numbers and ? Maybe get the Panera GPS table locators. read more
