I've been thinking of going electric and buying a Chevy Bolt EV for a few months. The 2021 models have a lot of discounts on them, and my research showed me that Dublin Chevy has the best prices on Bolt EVs among all Bay Area Chevy dealerships. I worked with Babak Ezzy to purchase a brand-new Bolt EV, and I had such a great experience! We emailed to get a trade-in quote for my 2006 Honda, and that quote was honored in person. I wanted a very particular Bolt EV exterior color--cayenne orange metallic--and Babak showed me two models. He let me take my time deciding and didn't pressure me one way or the other, and I'm so pleased with my choice. This was my first time buying a car, and Babak made it seamless! I spoke with the parts dept. They would not take my order by phone using my credit card because their limit is $250 - disappointing. He said they don't have system for phone orders. They are asking me to come to the dealership and place the order & pay and then come back and pickup. I was planning on ordering it and having it shipped. My first impression was crushed due to the inconsistencies of communication between a worker and myself (I won't say no names). I had an approved loan for a truck in hand and was open with the worker that I was going to purchase it. Came to the dealership the following day and wasn't even told that the truck was sold the night prior. But another worker (Tavis, I highly recommend) came and saved the day with helping me with purchasing another truck similar and was very welcoming, professional, and a great conversationalist. I sincerely question the integrity of a business that gets your personal information and then refuses to stop using it when you ask them to do so. I contacted Dublin Chevrolet a couple months ago when I was looking for a Suburban. I gave them my contact information, of course, as part of working with them to look at getting a car. It didn't work out. That's fine. But now months later, they refuse to stop harassing me about buying a car, despite multiple requests. I'm sure you know the drill and it's probably why you hate to give up your 411 to businesses. Most stop when asked. Limited technical abilities, organizational and professional deficits, and low ethical standards make this dealership a poor choice for automotive care. They were unable to get the ac working in the front or rear of my van after numerous visits over 18 months. High turnover and a dysfunctional management left my vehicle on their lot for weeks awaiting parts they had failed to order. Repairing the fan they disconnected power to the TV. Restoring TV power they disconnected the speakers. Plastic covers were lost, tools left in the vehicle, no signs of professionalism. Their solution to an electrical drain they could never locate was to sell me a new battery (it had a "bad cell"). Of course, fixed nothing but they did sell a battery. And although they are a "Chevy Dealership" they now refuse to fix the 3 year old Chevy still under warranty. Probably because they can't. They do well on oil changes, just slow and pricy. read more

I have a 2015 Camaro SS and have been pleased with the service I have received at Dublin Chevrolet. I have had my car in there 3 times for various reasons and have had no issues. I especially would say that David ( did not catch his last name) and Tony Lanza were a pleasure to work with. One trip was covered under warranty, and the other two were service calls. For the two recent service calls, they Diagnosed and Advised on the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that needed to be replaced. The same TPMS that was previously services by WheelWorks (twice). They were able to reprogram the old device for a nominal service fee. For the other issue they quickly diagnosed a faulty shifter solenoid, which I have decided to not replace but will in the future. In each case was only charged a nominal fee. The rate for labor is probably higher than most local shops but that is to be expected. While other shops don't have the higher rates, they also do not have the weight of Chevy standing behind their service techs with Chevy and GM experience. I also leased this car from them, was very easy, and when the lease was coming up, I purchased the vehicle through sales, no problems. read more

Made a service appointment online several weeks in advance. Arrived for my appointment and was told they are three days behind and will need my car for a minimum of 3 days. I asked if they provide a loaner car. They said no. I asked why I was not informed of their backlog. She said I would have needed to call ahead to find out and they are not allowed to post online how far behind they typically are. She shared they are always 3 days behind. Disappointing that customers are not made aware in advance to prepare for their backlog so customers could plan accordingly. read more

They can afford to mark a car up $10,000 above the MSRP unknowingly to the buyer but they can't afford to put a gallon of gas in it to take it on the freeway to test drive it. They have the MSRP crossed off on the website but not on the MSRP sticker on the vehicle. The salesperson was extremely unethical lying to the sales manager in front of us. read more

Just wanted to share an update to my post purchase experience. I had to bring the car back the following week for the Auto Butler service which was fine. However also realized that the software for the radio had not been updated because I was having issues streaming my music and using the Pandora app . . . no biggie . . . but one of the panels on the inside of the car which ran along the side of the shifter was also hanging off (my passenger showed me since I couldn't see it from the drivers seat). Benny was great getting me checked in and set up with a rental. Came back several hours later once they called to say it was ready to find out they had to order the panel and I had to come back again in a few days (I live 30 mins. away with NO traffic). Took the car back a few days later to have the panel replaced and sat at the dealership for a few hours. Fast forward a few weeks and the key kept getting stuck in the ignition every other time I parked and tried to leave the car . . . after this happening a total of 6 times within 2 weeks, I finally took it to the Chevy dealer near me to have them fix it. The car was at their dealership for a total of 7 hours!!! Ok, ok, I know, it's a used car, it's whatever . . . all of the running back and forth didn't become a huge annoyance and inconvenience to me until I had to contact DMV to find out why I still hadn't received my 2018 sticker yet. I bought the car beginning of June and there were still tags on it for May 2017. Come to find out, the dealer renewed the registration in May and never put on the 2018 sticker so DMV told me I had to contact the dealer because they owed me my tags. I called and left a vm for someone at the dealership AND sent an email to John Kakacek and waited a week. No response from EITHER of them!! Since I would rather not get pulled over and questioned for not having expired tags on my car, I had to make an appt. at the DMV, wait over an hour, pay $20 and get another sticker!!! Oh, and I also got an email from my bank stating there was another $23 owed on my loan for the car I traded in which was due before they would release the title. Rather than chase the dealer, I paid that one too . . . tisk, tisk. I feel like unless you are there at the dealership getting in someone's face, they don't have time for you which is a shame because the day of my purchase they did a really outstanding job taking care of me. If you want to keep your customers, that includes taking care of them AFTER the papers are signed. read more

Dublin Chevrolet is the place for you if you like being lied to over and over again! Leased a Bolt EV there with a one pay lease. Was asked to authorize a credit check and objected because I paid the entire lease upfront. Sales guy ensured me 'not to worry, we're not going to pull your credit'. Sure enough, 20 minutes later get notifications from CreditWise that they did a hard pull with three agencies. Then they told me "finance is a little backed up, but he's finishing up and you should be next". Kept telling me that for over two hours - ridiculous. In the end, I had to wait for over three hours and finally left with my car at 11pm. When signing the paperwork, they had just 10k mileage on the lease, whereas we had agreed on 12k before. Nice try, glad I caught it, despite the long wait... The sales guy also filled out a satisfaction survey for me, giving himself the highest marks, saying "this one is just the default one, the real one will come via email" - huh?? Of course, no survey ever came via email. When I called him out for his many lies, he told me (the customer, you know, one of the people paying his pay check...) "if you think I'm lying you're smoking something". I was speechless and will never visit this place again. read more

I thought car shopping was going to be easy. I did my research online and contacted Dublin Chevrolet when I saw a newish Chevy that caught my eye. I filled out the pre-application online and was told that I was pre-approved for the car I wanted. I made the first appointment I could, given my schedule and the guy who was helping me out the whole way couldn't make it the day of. Bummer. He had a coworker fill in for him. I arrived late, since I had to drive from the city and really expected to test drive and sign papers. After my test drive, I had to refill out paperwork for the car I was so-called approved for. After an hour, I was given the run around when it came to getting the car I wanted. The explanation I got was the bank wanted me to purchase a more expensive used Toyota with 2 times more mileage. Hardly. If they wanted more money down - they could have asked. So after sitting there for hours, I was asked to purchase the new car. So he takes me out to the back of the lot, at night with no exterior lights to show me a locked Toyota. In the dark. Who buys a car in the dark? I was out of there and over it. I don't think so Buddy, I choose the car, the car doesn't choose me. I took my business elsewhere where I chose the perfect car for me and drove it off the lot. read more

I should have been the easiest sell ever. Found the truck I wanted online, drove up from LA to grab it, arrive and there's a $6000 light bar accessory attached that was neither shown in the photos or in the quote I received from the dealership. First they told me to sell the bar on eBay (what?), then they did everything they could to sell me the truck, but I told them I do not want the light bar. They say the light bar stays on the truck... fine with me, I'll look elsewhere. Next thing I know I have 6 credit pulls on my account and it seems like more are pouring in by the minute. I only authorized one pull. I guess every offer he tried to make me he was pulling my credit as well. Extremely unprofessional and predatory. Steer clear of this dealership unless you want to kill your credit. read more

Job was performed just fine. I asked for a Wiper replacement- they charged $65 for wiper blades for a Chevy Tahoe. Makes me concerned for how much they overcharge for other Chevy parts. Same blades for the same car at GMC were expensive at $40. I can't believe trying to push $65 for blades. I can't go back now and they were convenient for me due to proximity to work. ***dont buy a used car here*** I called and talked to a sales staff (no need to slander names), they assured me that buying at Dublin Chevrolet/Cadillac was better than the auction because they check the cars out before they buy so I'm assured there is no pre existing issues. Wellllll, that wasn't true. Within 400 Miles of driving the my newly purchased BMW 528i I purchased from Dublin Chevrolet/Cadillac , the "drive train malfunction light" came on three times within the first trip I took. They were Generous to run the codes for me for free (because no warranty with used cars at all!!!) but the issues was a $600-$1000 to fix and they were not going to do that. So, my reality is that is purchased a car with a needed repair, with a lie! I am in Reno buying another property today (4th one) but I took a train because I couldn't trust my new used car would get there safely. What a disappointment Dublin Chevrolet/Cadillac for not making things right. I bought a car so I could go visit or buy new properties but I had to overpay for a train because I couldn't trust the car I just bought from you guys. What a let down : ( When I did take it in to get fixed, the service department from Dublin Chevrolet checked codes but erased them. So now I can't even fix the issues because they erased codes. They (Dublin Chevrolet/Cadillac) made it to where now I have to recreate the issue. Who wants to do that when they spend a lot of money! read more

I contacted them, they found me an incoming vehicle to reserve at MSRP, and they called me the day it arrived. Not much more you can ask for lately! They were efficient and mostly straightforward with the sale. They required a recovery lock system add-on, which was disappointing, but still a good experience overall. Could not have had a worse experience. First my problem was diagnosed as being a fuel pump issue. Upon completing the repair a different problem was discovered with internal tank electric harness which I believe was the root cause since it wasn't discovered until replacing the fuel pump did not solve the problem.However I was still charged for both services. $1600 later and I arrive to pick up my car only to find grease stains all over the interior of my vehicle. I honestly couldn't believe it, and for that much money through in a car wash... Are you kidding me? Never again dublin Chevy; not even once. read more

I called 3 separate times and requested to speak with a service supervisor. I was told they would send him a message and he would get back to me. He never did. Doesn't take calls and only he can make appointments. I was having a problem with cooling fan staying on, found out later it was my thermostat was not working. Only reason I know this was I took my car to Ace Auto in San Ramon and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Money was not the issue seeing how Ace Auto was pre approved by ALLY, an authorized service company. I guess Dublin Chevrolet doesn't like to make repairs. What I called them on was specific questions about my warranty and still no response from them. 48 hours later. They lost a good customer . The car was a 2017 Chevy Camaro RS with 37,000 miles bought Dec 2016. Day 3 and no contact response from Dublin Chevrolet. read more

We purchased our new 2019 Bolt from Dublin Chevy. The experience from the point we sent the query over the internet all the way to the moment my wife, Naila, and I drove the car off - and even beyond that, via emails correspondence - has been quite remarkable. Roy Montana was superb - like that legendary 49er quarterback with the same name. And Dublin Chevy as a team works with no lesser efficiency than the many super bowl winning niners of the 80's. Bobby Solis kept the same quality of service when we visited the dealer impromptu on Roy's day off. Both were exceptional gentlemen. Spent as much time as was needed to go through the vast inventory at this dealership with variety of colors to choose from. Roy patiently guided us through when asked and gave us room when we needed it to decide during FaceTiming/texting with our remote kids to finalize the color that everyone in the family agreed on. Roy smartly handled the situation and in anticipation kept all options from the narrowed down cars, their VIN # and info handy in case if we go with the other from the lot - had the service dept on toes to quickly process the car we chose that had just got off the transporter. Bumi in the finance dept. was equally exceptional, energetic and gave us a remarkable deal on the extended warranty that we really wanted and were truly happy with. Mediocre at best in the initial sales dept. All the usual BS associated with buying a new car. All the usual games were played. So would have given them 2 stars. However, since buying the car and having questions related to home charger set up and credit for already having a level 2 charger at my house. No one seems to know what they're doing. My calls go unanswered. They even have a "Customer Engagement Manager" Who has never returned my calls! (So much for that fancy title) I've even made calls to the Chevrolet customer service and "Concierge service) They have no idea what to do, cannot help me and suggest I call the sales dept which I have done of course and YES, I get no reply or call back from them! Its nearly 3 weeks since the purchase. The car is great. The service is a non service. I just know that if I gave service like this, I would not have a job. Update. 8/4/21 Fellow Yelpers.
